I always love these collections — such an exciting sneak peek into what is coming soon! It feels impossible but I think every preview here reveals a book that seems well worth reading.
Thank you for these fun previews! This collection is a great way to browse and add books from the upcoming publishing season. The Vaster Wilds by Lauren Groff, Family Meal by Bryan Washington, and Coleman Hill by Kim Coleman Foote stood out to me. Excited for many of these!
So annoyed at myself that I forgot about looking for this book. 2023 spring/summer was my first one of these.
Just a fabulous idea as you can get an idea of what is coming and books to look out for. unfortunately because I came to the game so late with this one it wasn’t great. That was my fault, the concept is brilliant and I will do better next time.
Buzz Books is a great way to preview and sort through the many upcoming titles available. A helpful guide for those who want to get ahead of the curve.
"Buzz Books 2023: Fall/Winter" by Publishers Lunch serves as an insightful guide for avid readers and industry professionals eager to explore upcoming releases. The book's strength lies in its ability to provide a curated selection of excerpts from anticipated titles, allowing readers to preview and discover potential favorites.
One of the book's positive aspects is its comprehensive coverage of various genres, catering to diverse reading preferences. The inclusion of exclusive sneak peeks and author insights adds an exciting layer, creating anticipation for the upcoming literary season. The concise format of book excerpts is reader-friendly, making it easy for enthusiasts to quickly identify books aligning with their tastes.
However, it's worth noting that the book's brevity limits the depth of analysis for each title, leaving readers with only a glimpse into the narrative. While the aim is to generate excitement, some may find themselves wanting more information to make informed reading choices.
"Buzz Books 2023: Fall/Winter" is a valuable resource for book enthusiasts seeking a sneak peek into the literary landscape. Its curated selection and inclusion of author perspectives make it an engaging preview. However, readers desiring a more comprehensive exploration of each featured title may find the book serving as more of a teaser than an in-depth guide.
Loved this selection of excerpts and definitely interested in reading more from these authors. Looking forward to the next collection!
These are always so much fun to get a little peak at what is going on without having to commit to all of the books in there. Keep these coming!
This collection of buzz books was the perfect launching pad for creating my Fall / Winter 2023 reading list. A truly exceptional grouping of suggestions, with these books in hand, I would never want to come-up from reading. A few I had already been aware of, but this exclusive grouping put some others on my radar I would not have otherwise known. I look forward to the next collection of upcoming reads!
Thank goodness for the Buzz Books sampler series because I took a two(ish) year hiatus from reviewing—and even reading—to come back to the book world and realize I had no idea what any of the books everyone was talking about were about or if they were even out yet or not. This is such a lifesaver to help reorient myself in the book world and get a grasp of what to look out for.
Buzz Books by Publishers Lunch is always a terrific source for finding fab new books. This sampler features more than 60 books published in Fall/Winter 2023. Highly recommended for readers who want to know the best books to add to their burgeoning TBRs each season.
Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.
Opinions are mine.
These are always my favorite way to see what's up and coming and to pick reads for our book clubs. I like to find new authors and have some back up selections from the crowd favorites as well.
This is such a wonderful tool for book sellers (and presumably book enthusiasts alike!). It is A LOT of great content but well organized so I could dive in and out of it as needed.
I love these Buzz Books samplers, and I'm really looking forward to the next installment (hopefully next month)! While I find synopses to be helpful, getting to actually read excerpts gives me a much better idea of what the authors' writing styles are like, as well as whether or not I can quickly lose myself in the story. I am particularly excited for: The Fox Wife, Come and Get It, Holiday Country, and Green Dot.
Thank you, NetGalley, for this publication!
WOW! is all I can say about this publication. I was curious what it would actually be about and I was glad I was. It has four sections: Fiction, Non-Fiction, Debut and Teen. It provides an excerpt from each of the books featured and then gives you a link to read (some are no longer free) the book.
These are all books I most likely would not have thought about reading but I found several (I did stop myself from selecting every book I thought was my kind of read) that I did put in my NetGalley cue. I will be busy reading all of them.
Some were books that had been translated from the author's native language, some were mysteries, some were based on true stories and some were just plain good reading. If you are looking for a book, this "preview" title book will provide you ideas for your next read.
I always look forward to reading the previews. This edition offered some very appealing titles and authors.
This excerpt sampler is a fantastic way to get a previous of what is being released! There were several titles on here that I had already requested/received, but I was able to find many more books that I was interested in personally or that my library would be.
I often browse through books and I find that samplers are the best way to get a taste of what they have to offer. These book excerpts that are usually included within the sampler, give me the opportunity to review books that are within my exciting genre. This often leads me to exciting new discoveries that I might not have found otherwise.
This is a GREAT way to get insight to future releases and a fabulous way to build your TBR! I hope to see one of these for 2024!
I love to discover new authors and Buzz Books samplers are the best way to do that! It also gives me a chance to review excerpts of books outside my genre, which sometimes leads to great new (for me) discoveries!
Such a great collection of work, once again! These are always so enjoyable to page through and see what is coming and by who!
