This is a fantastic tool to assist book club organizers in finding books that would be appropriate for their group. Additionally, it will be very beneficial to librarians who are looking for readers' next favorite authors and popular books.
In the more than 60 titles in the book, they can find hidden literary gems. An excerpt usually appears (typically from the first chapter) to give the reader a flavor of the author's writing style and a peek into the book's subject matter.
Most excerpts have a link to read or request the complete galley from NetGalley at the end. Publishers and authors can market their digital review copies on NetGalley to assist book lovers and industry professionals find, request, read, and review them.
This book is divided into three sections. The first includes novels of fiction. The novel's cover is displayed to the reader before the book's synopsis and excerpt. then find out who wrote it and when it was published. I love that there are a variety of genres to choose from.
The second section will highlight debut authors, the third will be non-fiction, and the fourth will be YA books. "The publisher states, “Finally, we present early looks at new work from young adult authors, including the New York Times bestselling Roshani Chokshi, Jason June, and Melinda Salisbury, along with a YA debut by Court Stevens, who is a bookseller at Parnassus Books in Nashville."
Fall/Winter season highlights the most talented, exciting and diverse debut authors.
Non-fiction covers topics such as addiction, forgiveness, lying, and grief. Several Memoirs and a definitive biography of John Lewis.
What’s not to love, grab a copy, relax and take it all in.

I love reading the excerpts from the different authors that are featured in Buzz Books 2023: Fall/Winter to get a fresh look at books to be released.
One thing I try to do is open up and explore genres that are not always my first picks to broaden my view and range of reading. This is a fun way to do this, AND I wind up adding many books to be To Be Read list!!! Authors known and yet unknown are able to show off their new releases in a way that is noncommittal, so I am able to choose what I am most interested in!
Happy reading! I hope you enjoy Buzz Books 2023 as much as I did! I feel I am exposed to authors I would not normally be aware of, and this is the biggest reason why Buzz Books draws me in!
Sample dozens of upcoming books in this collection that is a mix of bestselling authors and debut writers. It includes books aimed at adults and young adults along with a mix of fiction and nonfiction to provide a wide variety.

Always enjoy samplers. Discovered lots of new writers to explore in the future. I look forward to new samplers in the future.
I absolutely love these Buzz Books! I think they are the best way to get a taste of what's coming for the new season. It's also a great way, as a journalist, to keep things organized when it comes to deciding future coverage.
This was a fantastic preview of upcoming releases. I look forward to reading many of the books included.
I appreciate Netgalley giving me a sneak peek at the books coming out in Fall /Winter 2023/2024. I requested so many full galleys it will kill my feedback ratio if I am approved for them all, That's a chance I'm willing to take. I'll just need to review harder.
I love the Buzz Books forecast of coming attractions. Such a smorgasbord! I go through the listings and highlight the books I definitely want to read, and a few 'new-to-me' authors. Many thanks to Buzz Books for assembling this catalog. It helps me plan my book budget and library holds ... even out into January!
SO MANY GOOD books on their way in a year that is already full of great reads. I'm just sad I won't have time to read all those I dog-eared after perusing them. Thanks Publishers Lunch for this awesome preview. Besides Lauren Groff and Yangsze Choo, I was delighted to see multiple others that I'd like to read, like THE MADSTONE, by Elizabeth Crook, (after the civil war, a man is persuaded to save a woman and her toddler from their mad husband/ father), and THE BUSYBODY by Kemper Donovan, a cheeky ghost writer is swept up into a possibly political myster), and THE FAVORITES by Rosemary Hennigan (a student seeks to become a favorite, in revenge for what the professor did to her sister), and FAIR ROSALINE, by Natasha Solomons (yes, she of Romeo and Juliet).
This is a great resource to find ARCs and if you’d be a good fit to review before publishing. I liked getting to read excerpts as well as blurbs!
Always a great preview of coming attractions - I just wish there were more mysteries! But the books I sampled here were great. Especially excited for Lauren Groff's latest!
I always enjoy reading Buzz Books, and this current edition is no exception. This Fall/Winter is going to be a great season for new reads, especially if you enjoy fantasy/science fiction. There are a lot of new authors to check out, as well as many familiar names as well. I'm also encouraged by the diversity of the authors of these upcoming works. As always, my to-be-read shelf on Goodreads has greatly expanded because of this book!
I really appreciate these BuzzBook previews! Thank you for making them available so I can plan my fall reading.
