Book 1 of the ROCK HARBOR SEARCH AND RESCUE Series, aimed at middle graders, and with a foundation in faith, is delightfully heartwarming as it approaches realistic life issues. Here Emily, age 13, is working diligently toward buying a Search-and-rescue puppy of her own, but is suddenly stymied when an unfounded accusation levied against her convinces her father and stepmother, the Sheriff, and most of her peers.

I have loved everything I have read by Colleen Coble and this story does not disappoint. I love the search and rescue dog aspect to this mystery story.
