A pretty standard romance around a dog rescue worker and a journalist. Cute and a decent read but nothing unexpected.

It's a rocky road to romance for Ginny and Darryl. Ginny is devoted to the dogs and people at the Wagging Tails Dog Home, and Darryl is the replacement reported who initially sabotages their fundraising efforts. To top it all off, Darryl's new boss is Ginny's egocentric former fiance who had left her practically at the altar. It's a great feelgood story and written so well that the characters really come alive. Can't be a true unbiased review because I love rescue dogs and the people who love them.
I requested and received a free e-book copy from Boldwood Books via NetGalley. Thank you!
Ginny is trying to organize and prepare the fund raiser for the animal shelter she works with. When she meets Darryl though, she is disappointed that he is not more helpful as a reporter. Good story overall though, and kept my interest throughout. If you like rural romance, dogs and fun times this book is for you.

Must love dogs!
Easy to read with short chapters. I was well invested in the stories of the shelter dogs. Enjoyed their back stories and HEAs. The humans were a sub-interest.
Ginny works for a local dog rescue centre. They're running low on funds and decide to go to the local paper to get them to feature some of the dogs and raise awareness for the local fun day. The reporter isn't very enthusiastic
A book for all the lovers of dogs . Ginny is working in The Wagging Tails Dogs' Home and the annual dog festival is in a few weeks and the newspaper reporter that writes about them still hasn't wrote anything . When she goes to the newspaper offices she learns that the reporter had retired and a new one has taken his place . At first Darryl doesn't seems to care about the dogs and the shelter but with Ginny's determination and passion he ends up becoming volenteer and owner of a dog . And also love is there for our couple .
I received this book from net galley and the publisher as an ARC. Thank you! All thoughts and opinions are my own .
This book felt like sunshine, it felt like a warm hug, and I loved Ginny and her loving nature with the dogs. I absolutely fell in love with the furry friends. This kept a smile on my face. The drama felt a little fake, like it wasn't well edited in my opinion and threw me off but I still enjoyed this story. Easily 3.75 stars.
This is a very sweet, heartwarming story about Ginny, who has worked at a dog shelter for several years after leaving a cheating ex-fiancé and a career in London. In the process of trying to ensure funding for the shelter and new homes for the dogs, she encounters her ex, some painful truths, and the possibility of a much better relationship. Anyone who loves dogs will be drawn into the story. Ginny’s internal monologue takes up quite a bit of the book, and you see a caring and determined but deeply insecure person. The drama in the book feels a little manufactured at times, but on the whole I enjoyed the story, which provided a nice bit of escapism. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review.
