Thank you Max Monroe ! I have read several of books written by these authors , this one didn’t disappoint This book was everything you expect from a max monroe book , you will laugh out loud and of course swoon, ( thinking of my original Max character of course Kline who will always be #1)
Brooke is an introvert but one I found very relatable as a main character.
Chase was the perfect book boyfriend , he was perfect, for Brooke. He had his flaws but it was so much fun watching them fall for each other. And the family dynamics in the book was extremely entertaining too.
Hands down the best summer read .
Can’t wait for the next one
It's been a while since I've picked up a Max Monroe rom com and so I decided to pick up Accidental Attachment. True to my expectations, this writing duo plunged the reader right into the comedy part of the romcom, but the romance wasn't far behind.
Accidental Attachment is the story of Brooke and Chase, a writer and her editor, and how she accidentally sends him a draft of a novel that hasn't been requested or sold. It's essentially her fantasy if she was an on air anchor and he was her producer. Chase reads it, loves it, pitches it and when he's successful, has the joy of telling Brooke-who has no idea that she sent the file that she sent. Once she discovers her oopsie, she basically dies and then tries to avoid doing anything with it. Of course that can't happen and the rest of the novel is divided up between her making peace with the fact that she's publishing her fantasy and trying to figure out how to be around the object of her affection without blowing it, all while being trapped in an RV, with her crush, on a cross country road trip to promote her previous hit turned Netflix series.
As you can imagine, there's lots of comedy: physical comedy, puns and word play, and the always fun second hand embarrassment hilarity that ensues from their various snafus. The romance is slow burning and sweet and a nice counter to the constant funny. All in all, a fun, slightly nutty read.
I loved the witty, funny, heartfelt characters in this book.
Every single character was just perfect and I loved their
dialogue. There were some laugh out loud moments in this
book as week as some steamy parts. It was a roller coaster of
emotions and I loved every minute of it!!
Brooke Baker is an author whose books are turning into a
Netflix series, but her publisher is awaiting her next great
work which is a spin off of this series. She is struggling to
make the writing spark, when her deadline approaches so
she just send the document as is. Little does she know, she
accidentally attached the wrong manuscript to her editor.
Instead of the spin off, she attached the steamy story of a
Clive and River, who are based off of none other than herself
and the editor she has been drooling over since she met him.
Once she finds out her error, it's too late because her editor
loves this manuscript and is hell bent to get it published. As
they go through the editing process, Brooke and her editor,
Chase, become close. But what happens when he finds out
the truth?
This is such an amazing book, and I highly recommend it if
you love some spice mixed with laughter, relatable lovable
characters woven into a great story line
Thank you @netgalley @authormaxmonroe and @rick_283
for the opportunity to read this beautiful book!
I loved this book, what a trip, literally. Sending the wrong, super steamy, manuscript was the more embarassing and yet brilliant thing she could have ever done. I think all writers have secretly done this very thing, and now as a reader I have as well. Great story, well done.
Accidental Attachment is a story about Brooke Baker who's a writer. She submits her next book except that she accidentally sends in a different story. This other story is really a fan fiction written about her crush, Chase, who happens to be her new editor. Chase loves it so much that he wants to work with her on editing right away, but he has no idea that the male character of the book is based on him. He volunteers to drive her on her press tour for her previous book so they can work together. Chase, Brooke, and her service dog Benji travel around on her book tour. Things get a little too close for comfort between them on the RV and they become a bit more than friends.
What to expect:
-Friends to Lovers
-Forced Proximity
-Dual POV
-Slowburn
I really enjoyed Brooke & Chase's humor and personalities together. I also enjoyed the star of the show, Brooke's service dog Benji- he was my favorite! Overall this was a cute, sweet romance that ends in a HEA.
Thank you for adding this to my bookshelf NetGalley and Max Monroe LLC.
This was my first Max Monroe book and I cannot wait to read more! I enjoyed every moment of this book. Brooke Baker is a successful author of a fantasy series turned Netflix series, and at the deadline for her next book. When she accidentally sends her editor (and secret crush), Chase Dawson, her steamy romance novel based on them, hilarity ensues. The two of them and Benji the service dog, set out in an RV to promote the Netflix series. The banter, Brooke’s self-deprecating sense of humor, Chase’s sweetness, and Benji made this book a fun read that I could not put down!
My heart needed to read this book. It was so full of so many good things! I laughed, I swooned, it made me sad, all the emotions wrapped up in one book!
This book was so good and I loved this romance! Not only was it witty, but also heart warming at times. Looking forward to reading more by this author.
I really loved Brooke and Chase' story - it was sweet and very entertaining with such a fun storyline. Max Monroe is a new to me author, but this book had me laughing out so loud in parts that its made me want to read more of their work.
This is a slow burn novel.
She is a writer that got drunk one night and accidentally sent the spicy story about her and her editor... to her editor. He ends up loving it and insists they work together, closely, to get it ready for publishing. Next thing you know, they are travelling the country, working on their book together and getting closer as time goes on.
Listen, I gave this book a red hot go. I really tried to get into it and connect with the characters, but I just couldn't. This book was also incredibly long. Personally, the writing style was not something I could engage with. I did love the premise, though!
❤️ Brooke Baker is a writer. She had a deadline to submit her manuscript of Garden of Forever to her editor.
❤️ She has a big crush on her editor Chase Dawson. She has written a secret story named Accidental Attachment imagining Chase and herself as the MCs
❤️ Brooke is unable to meet her deadline and One day when she is intoxicated by the wine she sends the wrong manuscript to Chase.
Which manuscript has Brooke sent to Chase? Will Chase go ahead and get the wrong manuscript published? Will 2 broken souls find their HEA?
Read on to know what happens further
This was such a light and fun Rom-com. The characters were realistic. Enjoyed every bit of it. It's a fast-paced romance keeping you hooked till the end. Brooke's medical condition was described well. Chase is the perfect caring and charming boyfriend anyone would desire. Overall a good read.
4.5 stars!!

I can’t even imagine aCcidentally attaching the story that I based off me and the dreamy editor I have a crush on at my publishing company, but that’s what happened to Brooke Baker!
It took me extremely too long to finish this one! I hate that it did! Sleep regression of a 4 year old is no joke.
The girls did fantastic with Accidental Attachment. The banter so good. The MFC’s thoughts were thoughts that felt like they came straight from me. Chase Dawson is so much the dream guy!
This book had me laughing. I really enjoyed it and loved reading it. It was written great and the love story was great.
A well written, cute, funny romance with depth and lovely characters.
Loved heroine Brooke and her canine best friend Benji. Both were hilarious. Chase was such a dreamy hero. I enjoyed reading about how they came together and their forced proximity. Together they were smouldering from chapter 1!
Mo and Sammy were my favourite in secondary characters.
The reason I didn’t give it more stars was because I didn’t like the final conflict and felt Chase definitely reacted over the top. I also needed more grovelling from his side.
It was also fun to read about Brooke’s books. I always love it when my heroines are authors. Its fascinating to read about their work and see inside their minds.
Epilogue was cute and can’t wait to read Sammy’s book.
Recommended and safe.
I received an advance review copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.
Brooke Baker is an author who has hit a bit of a rut on her current work in progress. However she has been working on another piece of writing that is purely just for her and her own private and spicy fantasies. 🫣
When her deadline approaches to turn in her work in progress, after a night of drinking solo and wondering what she is doing with her life and her adorable service dog Benji, she accidently sends the wrong manuscript to her editor. 🤓
The private manuscript is based on her and her gorgeous editor Chase having hanky panky moments… and now Chase has it in his hot big hands unaware that she wrote it about them… 🤪
Hilariousness ensues as they embark on revising and editing the steamy manuscript much to the disappointment of Brooke because her private manuscript was never supposed to be seen by anyone let alone by Chase and he thinks its going to be such a hit that he’s pit his job on the line to make it happen.
I really enjoyed this one. It was pure fun and absolutely entertaining. There were many times that I laughed out loud even at the slightly cheesy spots and I didn’t mind them at all. It was also lovely to see a character that had a service dog due to chronic illness. I loved the scenes with Benji.
If you are looking for something that is fun, entertaining with great slowburn tension and a little spice, then definitely add this to your Audio TBR.
The premise was cute, but the execution was a little lacking for me. Definitely could have been a bit shorter as well. It is consistent with Max Monroe's style (over the top comedy/antics), so if you enjoy their other books, you'll probably like this.
Thank you to the authors for this advanced copy, all opinions are my own!
Oh my love for Max Monroe, I was so very excited for this book and loved the concept.
Author writes book about editor she has a crush on, and then accidently sends said book to him and then ends up getting stuck on an RV with him to edit the book.
This books sounds like a cluster, with so many things going on at once and it was. It was pure chaos, most of it was delightful and some of it was a tad too much for me personally.
Overall this book was a hysterical, lighthearted romcom with all the sexual tension one could ask for. Chase was the perfect cinnamon roll hero to balance out Brooke's absolute chaos. Be prepared for a slow burn and a long ride, she is 600 pages.
I actually really overall liked the characters, Chase and Brooke but the story felt so long. That is completely unexpected given Max Monroe typically have fast moving, hilarious books. The premise is adorable- Brooke is an author and she accidentally sends her crush, editor Chase, a story that she wrote about them. And then for so much of the story after then, it just kind of droned on with cute but forgettable scenarios. Both characters were so sweet, loved the dog addition, but I started losing interest and would come back to it but then lost interest again. The authors note that this was their longest book ever- I think they should have aimed for brevity to keep the readers more invested in the totality of the story.
I absolutely loved this book! We follow Brooke, a successful writer, and her new editor, Chase, through their romance. Brooke, who accidentally sends a steamy manuscript to her new editor, finds herself now trapped with him while the revise the story. The reader is definitely kept on their toes, waiting for the ball to drop for when Chase realizes who she wrote the novel about.
The reader experiences the love, laughs, and pain the characters go through together. While also being able to experience a FMC who has a medical condition, not often written about. Brooke is such a relatable character that every reader will love. I could not put this one down!
