This was rather cute and fun.
The children behaved in a rather weird manner to me in some places, but it was not that bad.
I adored the big adventurous journey the children are going on.
This was only the first volume, and I am intrigued to see how the story will continue.
Will definitely be reading the sequel.

This was a very good start to what will be such a fun series. I found all the characters to be loveable and have their own distinct personalities, and I had a lot of fun reading about them. I loved the art style and colour scheme in this book, and can see this as a Summery beach read for a young reader. And the cliffhanger! Would definitely recommend.

The pictures pull you along in this story of child’s play adventure. Is it totally imagination or part real too? The story is a little bit ambiguous, and I couldn’t decide either way. The text is longer than in many comics. This is not a complete story. But I certainly enjoyed the first instalment. Thank you to Europe comics and NetGalley for the ARC. Pirates only existed in the distant past. At least that was what the children thought until the brig they used to play in was about to be sold.
It is a fun-filled adventure of a story. The graphics are adorable. It is a perfect graphic novel for LKS2 students.
