this book will take your breath away this book is exactly what I needed. my lose of my grandma was so heavy that this book reminded me that connecting with your loved ones spirit you will be able filled with this unconditional love and connection. that never ends. I cried everytime I read that passage of her encounter and I read that to anyone who would listen to me. truly amazing story of hope love and reassurance
“Hope from Heaven: A True Story of Devine Intervention and the Girl Who Came Back as God’s Messenger,” is a book based on a Near Death Experience and the author’s life thereafter. I’ve read a significant number of books on NDE’s, After-Life Communications, and Mediumship from researchers and experts on these topics and was always able to fully take them to heart. However, “Hope from Heaven” varies greatly from these books. I found it challenging to continue reading as it bounced around making it difficult to follow, appeared self-aggrandizing with considerable name-dropping, and the way she talked of mature love in her 50’s took on a quality of a high-school romance.
I wanted to like this book, but it just didn’t resonant with me.
I am grateful to Author Elissa Hope, John-Hunt Publishing, and NetGalley for allowing me the opportunity to review this Advanced Reader’s Copy. This is a voluntary review, and all comments and opinions are entirely my own.
I have always been fascinated by NDE’s. When I lost my Mom, I wanted to know where she is, what it’s like. I think as humans we all wonder that. I was brought up Catholic so for me it’s always been that there is a Heaven. I know others have different beliefs and that’s what makes the world so beautiful. I choose to believe that God will be there when we die. Thank you Elissa for sharing your story with us. Thank you to John Hunt Publishing, and Netgalley for the ARC of Hope from Heaven.
The notion of near death experiences is somewhat controversial. Looks of skeptics think it is a hoax. I think I have a lot to learn about my spiritual existence and how it is connected to but not forever linked with my physical body. If we have spiritual life after we pass it seems we should be able to connect with other spirits. doing so while still in our current physical state - that is an ability that I have not learned yet.
Thank you to John Hunt Publishing and NetGalley for an e-ARC of this title in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. I have read many books of this genre. I liked this one, and I know it's the author's story, but it had a rambling quality at times that was difficult for me. I liked the book, but I didn't love it.
A wonderful book full of divine intervention, hope, praise, and faith in our Lord.
I literally couldn't wait to pick up this book because I truly believe in life after death as well as coming back from near death experiences as a messenger to share in God's word.
For many who can't relate it might seem far fetched but as a cat with nine lives I can assure you that God is glorious, loving, and full of blessings beyond our wildest dreams.
To be an empath after living in a state of fight or flight means you must be conditioned to know who you are and know your worth as many will try to destroy both aspects of one's physical, emotional, psychological, and social make-up.
Upon reading this book we are taken upon this journey with the author who passed during a routine procedure only to learn she was given a gift to be able to return and share with those who hold hope for a brighter future.
Hope From Heaven was written well and provided the message that we are all God's children and that we are here to fulfill a legacy that is one of hope, healing, prayer, and divine faith.
Thank you to Elissa Hope, the publisher, NetGalley, and Amazon Kindle for this ARC in exchange for this honest review.
Good book. A few things I kind of disagreed with, but it is AUTHORS story. Overall, good book.
Thanks to author, publisher and Netgalley for the chance to read this book. While I got the book for free it had no bearing on the rating I gave it.
