This book is all about trains round the world.

For children who takes interest in Rails will find it enthusiastic. There is lot to know from this short picture book about different types of trains running or used to ran all over the world. There were monorails, trams, Trans-siberian tracks and even bullet-trains. There were diesel, electric and steam engines that used to run these trains.

It is a nice piece of work on this one of the greatest inventions in human history.

On the Tracks is an adorable children's book explaining train travel, train stations, and the different types of trains. My young boys are interested in all things travel so they really enjoyed this book. We liked the colorful illustration with the silly looking characters. I do wish the font was different as my 5 year old was trying to help me read it and it wasn't clear to him at times. But overall a cute and fun children's book.

This house, who have given me some wonderful looks at lost picture books, hits on this, which looks to have originally been a British primer for trains. It covers everything from famous tourist services, to maglevs, to types of train, and the Channel tunnel. We briefly visit the restaurant car and a sleeper service's (ridiculously spacious) bedroom. It's very bright and breezy, for a very bright and active young audience, with all the choo-choos given a face and something to quip at us, and it's not bad at all, if this is what you're in the market for. I did facepalm when it said an electric service gave out no pollution, until I remembered it was powered by magical blue unicorns pedalling a giant hamster wheel – thank god nothing is burnt or undergoes fission to create that electricity, then. This childish fallacy aside, this probably earns four stars, but I saw so much that was British about it to make some audiences wonder if it was the best option for them.

A great book about trains. The two year old loved the pictures but not so much the information. The four year old loved every bit of it! Great for young train enthusiasts.

This was a cute run through of the various types of trains there are. I like that it includes so many different types (I am no train connoisseur, so many that were new to me!) of trains, as well as some "famous train." A fun book that transportation-lovers will surely enjoy.

On the Tracks! Is an educational and fun book on trains. You learn all about different types of trains from all over the world, how they move and so much more. Great book for a train loving kid.
