This book was a great book!
The story followed Nick and Scarlett and I loved them!!
Their chemistry was a slow burn but that made me want to keep reading and when the spice finally hit it was so good!
Overall, a great book, All my workplace romance book besties are going to love this one.
Cant wait to see what Jennifer has in store for us next.
Cute romcom! Love a Valentine's Day book and fun characters.
Thank you NetGalley and Jennifer Bonds!

I love a good Valentine's Day book!
I thoroughly enjoyed "Not Today, Cupid" by Jennifer Bonds! Scarlett Evans' sharp wit and her dynamic with the grumpy CEO, Nick Hart, made for an entertaining read. The slow-burn romance was perfectly paced, and the banter had me laughing out loud. The corporate backdrop added an interesting twist, and I loved how the characters grew throughout the story. Although I wasn't a fan of the dual POV, I know many readers will appreciate it. I recommend this book to anyone who loves enemies-to-lovers romances with humor and heart. It's a perfect pick-me-up read!
Thank you to Netgally, the publishers, and Jennifer Bonds
When I requested this book I was unaware that it was apart of a series, one that requires you to read the previous books for this one to make sense. I am unable to read all the previous books along with this one before the publish date. Therefore, I will rate this a fair 3/5 stars and will adjust the rating and review when I am able to read all the books in the series along with this one.
A funny and steamy opposites attract, dual POV, office romance between an uptight boss and the woman trying to improve the work culture who are forced together to plan the company Valentine's day party. Lots of laugh out loud and toe curling moments, this was also good on audio and perfect for fans of Christina Lauren and Sally Thorne. Many thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an early digital copy in exchange for my honest review!
This one was not for me. I love a good a rom com, but I struggled to finish this one. Quite honestly, I forgot about it.
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
Upon first meeting Nick had Scarlet pegged as a meek mouse but what he didn’t expect was someone to go toe to toe with him and call him out on his crap and that’s exactly what Scarlet did in spades. The sass and snarky comments between Nick and Scarlet could easily start a fire but underneath all their sparring was an understanding and a belief in the other person something neither of them had experienced often. They are good together and challenge each other to grow and expand their horizons for the better.
One of the things I love about an inter connected romance series is the updates on the previous couple but I was missing that in this book. Minus a few mentions of Miles now being with Lucy there was no update on how they were doing or what they were up to. Hopefully we can get an update in Beck’s book on both of the previous couples 🤞🏻
Thank you @entangled_publishing and @netgalley for this eARC in exchange for my honest feedback.
I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.
Nick Hart, a meticulous co-founder of Triada Tech, struggles to retain an assistant. He resorts to borrowing his brother's assistant, Scarlett, for note-taking. At first, he perceives her as timid, but her candid, witty notes catch his attention. As they collaborate on a Valentine's Day event, their relationship blossoms.
The novel presents a delightful romance, brimming with witty exchanges, palpable chemistry, and passionate moments. Scarlett's chapters, alternating in perspective, are particularly sassy and entertaining. Both protagonists exhibit substantial character development, making them endearing to readers.
Scarlett's unique background as an industrial organizational psychology student adds depth and rationalizes her actions throughout. The plot features a communication mishap, resulting in both hilarious and cringeworthy moments, culminating in a significant gesture by one character in the climax.
An entertaining rom com. I loved the characters and their banter as well as some steamy scenes.
Many thanks to Random House and to Netgalley for providing me with a galley in exchange for my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed this gem by Jennifer Bonds! This is book 2 in The Hart's Series but can be read as a stand-alone. Definitely check out Miles and Miles of You!
Scarlett is a grad student working at Triada Tech while getting her Masters Degree in Psychology. Nick is a crabby CEO who is a complete control freak. While she works for his brother, Nick has an issue keeping an assistant so he needs her help. Together they go through the company's suggestion box to try to make Triada a more enjoyable place to work - including a Valentine Social.
Lots of sass and banter in this book with the perfect amount of tension and spice. I loved meeting these two characters, they truly are perfect for each other. Their back stories are so endearing. I love the chemistry between Nick & Scarlett. I loved the side characters including Mama Hart and the sassy pooch!
I look forward to reading the next book in this series! I do hope we see more of these characters in Beck's Story.

Not Today, Cupid is a standalone romcom that is part of the Hart series. I really enjoyed Miles and Miles of You and was looking forward to this one, and it totally delivered. I loved Scarlett and Nick, they are both good main characters with an ok amount of character development (more for Nick) and plenty of chemistry. The backdrop of planning a Valentines party for the company was fun, and then add in a furry friend and I am sold.
Oh, I loved it. Loved it. I really liked many things. Nick and Scarlett had a great connection, starting as boss and employee and becoming friends. It felt real and true to read.
And the writing, so good. Just like the plot.
Coworkers with benefits? YES PLEASE. Sneaking around? HELL YES. Insane chemistry? AMAZING. I would absolutely reccommend this book, though I did deduct a star because I felt Scarlett's story could have been wrapped up neater.
Kind of felt bored reading this, wasn't super into it. Scarlet is a timid mouse and Nick is a high strung CEO. It is another cliche rom com. I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Not Today, Cupid is the 2nd book in The Harts series and it follows a different brother – Nicholas Hart. The cold and perfectionist out of the three brothers finally meet his match with Scarlett Evans.
The plot is simple, sweet, slightly cheesy with a dash of adorableness from Oreo – the Frenchie puppy. Told in dual POV, the different in the personalities of the two main characters keep the story interesting as well as funny with their non-stop bickering.
I love Nick’s character development here from the stone cold person to a person who shows his emotion more and more throughout the story.
I also like Scarlett and how she stand up for herself in the workplace, although I wish we got to see more of how she stand up for herself to her family.
As much as I enjoy reading this one, to be honest this book really reminds me of the previous book like the chemistry between the couple, the FMC and the tropes are very similar.
Speaking of the 1st book, I feel sad that Lucy (the FMC of the 1st book) didn't made an appearance once here even though Miles (the MMC) pops up quite often. It would be nice if they made an appearance together and gave the readers a glimpse of how they're doing.
Overall, it’s a pretty good spicy romcom that comes with a happy ending.
I’m looking forward to read the next book to find out the story of the third brother – Beck Hart.

I received an advanced review copy for free through Netgalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Huge thank you to the author and publisher.
I loved miles and miles of you and couldn't wait to dive into this one! For those that love the office shenanigans of the hating game and the enemies to lovers in the unhoneymooners, Nick and Scarlett's story was so fun! She had been stuffing an anonymous work suggestion box, which leads to her and Nick planning a valentine's social to help boos employee moral. With some epic banter, and the best furry friend (who wouldn't want an office puppy named oreo?! I mean seriously!! 🥰), the reader gets to see all that building chemistry sizzle as they work through the event planning until that moment when they just can't not be together any more! The third act resolution didn't feel rushed and let's be real, it was one heck of a grand gesture!
Grab a snack from your favorite taco place and enjoy diving into this delightful romcom! And, assuming Beck's story is next, I'm anxiously awaiting the day we get to read that!!
Thank you Netgalley and Entangled Publishing LLC for the ARC in exchange for my review!
"Prepare to be swept away by the enchanting story of 'Not Today, Cupid' by Jennifer Bonds, the second installment in the Harts series. While each book can be enjoyed on its own, Bonds has crafted a wonderful standalone novel that will leave readers craving more. In this captivating tale, Bonds takes us on a journey with Nick Hart, the uptight and controlled CEO of his family's company, and Scarlett, his brother's talented executive assistant who is juggling work and school.
From the moment Nick and Scarlett cross paths at a board meeting, their chemistry is undeniable. The witty banter between them crackles with electricity, filling the pages with an intoxicating energy. Scarlett's spirited nature and knack for finding herself in humorous shenanigans had me laughing out loud, while Nick's rigid exterior slowly unraveled, revealing a depth and vulnerability I didn't expect.
As fate would have it, Nick and Scarlett find themselves reluctantly partnered up once again, this time to organize a Valentine's Day social event. The contrasts between them are stark – Nick the epitome of control and order, and Scarlett with her shy yet determined personality. But through their shared experiences and unexpected encounters, they discover that they complete each other in ways that no one else can.
What I loved most about 'Not Today, Cupid' is how Jennifer Bonds effortlessly weaves together humor, romance, and personal growth. The chemistry between Nick and Scarlett is palpable, and their journey from acquaintances to something more is a joy to witness. As they navigate their way through unexpected twists and turns, Bonds masterfully develops their characters, allowing us to see their flaws, their vulnerabilities, and ultimately, their growth.
Overall, 'Not Today, Cupid' is a charming and uplifting read that ticks all the boxes. Jennifer Bonds' talent shines through in her ability to create lovable and relatable characters, infuse the story with laughter, and deliver a touch of romance that will leave readers swooning. If you're in need of a delightful escapade filled with warmth and laughter, this book is an absolute must-read."
Thanks to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Nick is your typical career-driven CEO of his family business with his brothers and remains laser focused on only this. He keeps his circle very small and intimate to keep himself focused. Scarlett is his brother’s assistant and now Nicks partner on a new project Scarlett is trying to bring more fun to the office via the office suggestion box that no one takes seriously. Until his brother suggests they take one of the suggestions a “Valentine’s Party”.
The book is definitely an “opposites attract” book, which I enjoyed because who doesn’t?!??! It gave great banter and chemistry which any good romance/rom-com lover is ALWAYS looking for!
