I loved the characters and the development. Even thought the book we set over a few short weeks, it makes sense that they would fall for each other quickly as they are forced into the same area.
Autumn and Elijah are forced into shearing the same house, unfortunately this doesn't go smoothly on day one as Elijah becomes a home invader. Through petty squabbling and stubborn determination of making the others life hell, both quickly find that they need each other in more ways than one.
When Autumn’s stalker rears their red rose head, and starts to create an impact on her performances, Elijah pushes the investigation onto a friend to save Autumn and Elijah’s future.
This was funny and shocking. I didn’t figure out the mystery until about three quarters through. I honestly didn’t think that stalker would be an option until it happened and the shock was there.
There were parts where I felt the pettiness level was next level in both bad and good ways. For instance, Elijah has no idea about Autumn’s chronic pain, as she hadn’t told him anything about it, and he proceeds to shut her out the house in the rain. This made me angry as well as making me laugh.
The plot is brilliant as well as obvious for the most part and then you get the slap at the end, because the culprit is unexpected. But a very enjoyable read.

this was a very sweet and fun book to read. it's such a great enemies to lovers and forced proximity romance. I loved the nice dose of suspense with the stalker plot. I think so many people would like this book. It's very endearing. I think the twist in the end was crazy and unexpected.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to read an advanced copy of the book.
tw: trauma, survivors guilt, violence, stalker

The opening chapters were very catchy. The back and forth angsty meeting was great. I did not read the fine print that said this was ROMANTIC SUSPENSE. Literally everyone felt like a suspect at one point. Really good read. Elijah and Autumn’s relationship was great, the banter and back and forth “pranks” were spot on. The first half was Elijah and Autumn trying not to fall in love the second half was Elijah trying to protect Autumn.

I had my hopes held high for this book; the premise sounded really good: the mystery, the forced proximity, the title that sounded a lot like a TS song...
I'm really sorry to say that I was kinda dissapointed.
As I said, the idea was really good, the writing style was good, but it was the plot development that had too many flaws.
I don't want to spoiler anything so I'll just say:
- In my opinion they fell in love too quickly, after living together for barely few weeks.
- The "bad guy" motive was weak
Everything said, I still enjoyed the read, and I have to admit I really liked the characters!
I was going to give it 2 stars, but it's more a 2.5, so I'll just give it 3 as encouragement

This book had 2 of my top 3 favorite tropes: grumpy/sunshine & enemies to lovers. I truly enjoyed reading this, and especially loved that Elijah (MMC) was portrayed as an emotionally available man while simultaneously respecting Autumn’s (FMC) emotional boundaries. I also enjoyed the little bit of suspense, and loved that it wasn’t too predictable.

Now on to the review!
Autumn is so fiery and spunky, I love that she sees Elijah in her life as a challenge and has fun torturing him with pranks. She’s so strong and honestly just trying her best.
Elijah and his dog Brinkley are the same character, aka Golden Retriever energy. This man falls hard and fast for our girl. I’m here for it! He’s smart and caring and can keep up with her games. Love it!
I love the mystery! It was fun and all secretly looming in the background. I will say as an American reader I was like, “what’s a plaster?” There are terms/spelling that are obviously American English, but that’s ok. Just had me confused for a second. It was a blast to read and thank you again for my ARC of this amazing book

thought this was such a cute contemporary romance with a Grumpy x Sunshine and Forced Proximity trope. It also had a bit of a mystery to it, which I thought spiced things up a bit!
Autumn and Elijah were very cute and I loved their dynamic!
This was such a cute read and it was a good slow burn, nothing happened too fast and I really liked the pace.

Ms Perfectly Fine is a dual POV, third person romantic suspense book.
Autumn is a pianist who suffers with chronic pain due to a tragic accident from her teen years. She is about to perform her first solo since then and thinks she needs no distractions. But when Tim (the landlord) offers Elijah half of the house he moves in...
Elijah is a game developer who needed a place to stay while he develops and gets ready to sell his newest game in order to build his company.
This book is so good, I loved it! The story moved at a good pace, the twists and turns that happen along the way keep you invested and on your toes. I loved the mystery aspect and I couldn't stop reading! This is one of my favourite books this year and I will definitely re-read it.
The chemistry between Elijah and Autumn is strong and the characters where written really well and had lots of depth from the beginning. The secondary characters also have depth and have roles within the story and the different storylines.
Overall I think this book is an amazing if you like a mystery element (romantic suspense), when he takes care of her, forced proximity, roommates and so much more...

i was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review
another good read !! this book had a romance with a twist of mystery that left me on the edge of my seat for the last half of the book wanting to figure out who it was and why!
↳ this book starts with elijah moving in with autumn a pianist who really likes her space and has to begrudgingly share it with a games developer.
the way their love progressed form a strong dislike to a love was so adorable it made me feel so fluffy and happy inside 🥹
except autumn has ben keeping a secret for almost 3 years she’s been finding roses on her doorstep until it begins to get more threatening…
⋆.ೃ࿔*:・- i personally really liked the mystery- it was a little predictable towards the end but in the beginning i genuinely didn’t see any of it coming- now i look back on it the signs were there which makes me feel
1. kind of stupid
2. it felt like a fulfilling mystery and knowing it didn’t come out of nowhere made the plot feel whole !
⁃ i enjoyed the plot in general- especially because it wasn’t purely romance driven which i haven’t had a book like this in awhile
⁃ i loved the characters even the small side characters that had very little to do with the plot i felt like they all had their own personalities which made reading about autumn and elijah so enjoyable !
✧˚ · . i enjoyed autumns pov the most, she was so incredibly resilient due to the roses and the chronic pain she feels she was such and inspiration and a strong female lead which was incredibly written !
✧˚ · . i liked elijah and his pov too especially how he treated and thought about autumn- even from the beginning he was so enamored by her it was adorable !

A truly sweet story, with a twist. This was a palate cleanser for me. Opposites attract, without the silliness of lies, doubts and general teen angst. Knew who the bad guy was about a quarter into the book, but this did not detract from the story. The heroine, in spite of her physical pain, made the story sing. Great read!

✨Book review✨
Ms Perfectly Fine by Kate Callaghan
⭐️⭐️⭐️
romance
enemies to lovers
grumpy X sunshine (she is grumpy)
he falls first
survivors guilt
I enjoyed the first half of this book so much, it kept me up late in the night. But I felt that the writing is too long winded and loopy. The characters keep repeating the same thing again and again and that stretches out the book for no reason.

Having recently read some pretty hard hitting books I hit a wall with reading. I picked this book as it seemed lighthearted and just the thing I needed to get back into reading. I absolutely loved it and couldn't put it down. Ms perfectly fine is easy to read and the characters are loveable. The best romance have a good mystery/twist and this one really delivered it. Can't wait to read more from this author.

i really love autumn and elijah but i think the suspense part of romantic suspense just isn’t for me.
i kinda predicted both of the major ‘plot twists’ pretty early on in the book and i think that was why i didn’t enjoy this one as much as i was hoping i would.
overall i really did like most aspects of this book & it was very different to what i usually read, i just wish i hadn’t predicted the big twists so early.
i would recommend this one still!

This book was absolutely adorable. I loved reading about Autumn and Elijah's love story. I think that Autumn's chronic pain was very well written and was realistically executed. The only thing I wish was that there was more to the suspense aspect in the book. I found that area a little lacking personally, but all in all I found the read highly enjoyable and really sweet.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Ms Perfectly Fine is a new genre of writing for the author. It’s a fairly good attempt, but I would say it slightly misses its mark. The first 75% is good, until you realise that all the events are supposed to have taken place over only three weeks. Then the last 25% feels quite frantic, with a fairly predictable whodunnit and ending. A few niggly things are never quite explained. If you enjoyed The Roommate Situation, or Under One Roof, give this a go too.

i actually hated the first person interruptions in the third-person narrative. because it was very disorienting and took me out of the reading experience.
i didn't really like the writing style because it was the definision of "tell not show", which added witht eh first-person thoughts felt very disorienting.
the plot was really interesting but i think it would have been better if it had been developed more and there was more tension.

Rating: 4.5 Stars
Ms. Perfectly Fine follows the story of Autumn, a former child-prodigy concert pianist, in her return to the stage following a tragic accident 10 years prior. Dealing with the chronic pain the accident left her in, cryptic messages being left on her doorstep, and a strange, but sexy man moving into her house unannounced, she’s finding the transition back to performance harder than she expected. The story is the perfect combination of sweet & steamy romance and suspense - The combination is bound to keep you saying “just one more chapter…”
WHAT I LOVED:
Autumn & Elijah are two of the most loveable main characters I have read in a while. They were relatable and well-developed, and had me cheering them on the whole time.
Dual POV, giving us insight into both main character’s thoughts.
Autumn is strong and independent and achieves her goals, despite her chronic pain.
Brinkley, The Golden Retriever… That’s all.
Chronic pain representation (as someone who has suffered with chronic back pain it was nice to see this depicted in a book!)
Suspense + Romance! It is the perfect combination for those who love to read romance, but also love a good mystery or thriller.
Twists and turns that keep you guessing
The mention of the Reputation Stadium Tour T-Shirt (Swifties unite!)
WHAT I DIDN’T LOVE:
I saw the ending coming, but I thought it was still well-written and enjoyable!
Overall, I thought this was a sweet and fun read that fed my romance and thriller need at the same time. It was a book that had me wanting to cancel all my plans, grab a glass of wine, and read. It was exactly what I needed. This was my first Kate Callaghan book, but it definitely won't be my last!
WHO I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO:
People getting back into reading
New romance readers
People who love both romance and thrillers
TROPES + THEMES:
Enemies to Lovers
Forced Proximity
Grumpy x Sunshine
He Falls First And Harder
Chronic Illness
TRIGGER WARNINGS:
Survivor’s Guilt, Trauma, Stalking

This was a great romance, please don't hesitate to pick it up when it's released, I read it in one sitting!! This book was so fun but it is an emotional read! I loved Elijah and Autumn and the plot kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were perfect for one another, I was smiling through the whole thing. I loved the depiction of living with chronic pain (I relate to this and I thought it was executed very well), you do get an insight into how it truly is. I want to read more from this author and I hope this book gets the hype it deserves!

I’m not really sure how to feel about this book yet.
It was intense but also a bit boring, but it also had good parts?
The two main characters are incredible. I absolutely loved both of them. I think my main issue was how their relationship felt a bit rushed. They start as enemies but about 4 chapters after there is always feelins arising for both…
Then the main focus of the book was pretty much dragged throughout the chapters and then the twist happens and it gets “solved” in about 2/3 chapters. It would’ve been nice to get it more developed as the story went on and then end it the way it did.
However, they’re adorable and I really liked the topics spoken in the books.

I did enjoy this intriguing story about Autumn and Elijah. Autumn’s experience with chronic pain serves to flesh out her character and motivations as the story develops. Elijah is a honey with a less complicated backstory and he is quickly entranced by Autumn. There’s a lot going on, and with so few characters I’m not sure how effective the suspense angle is, but it does drive the plot and the relationship forward.
Looking forward to reading more from Kate Callaghan!
Thanks so much to NetGalley for the ARC
