Very cute and rom com!
Love the banter of both of these characters.
Enemies to lovers but too fast too soon.
Wish there was more of a chemistry with these too or a longer connection.

This book has a sweet storyline, but also several structural issues that would have benefited from additional rounds of editing. Although Kate Callaghan’s MS PERFECTLY FINE wasn’t for me, I can see it appealing to other romance readers.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC. All opinions my own.

I am a sucker for a great cover and Ms. Perfectly Fine had me from the beginning. This is the second book that I have read by Kate Callaghan and it was a cute one! I love Kate's writing style and can't wait to read more of her work!

Autumn is a brilliant pianist who was in a bad accident and still suffers from chronic pain 10 years later. She is trying to make a big comeback and was shocked to wake up to find a stranger in her beloved townhouse moving her stuff into storage! Autumn is very schedule oriented and is kind of on the grumpy side so this did not work out for her. Elijah is a game designer, night owl who didn’t realize that Autumn was still living in the townhouse. They immediately butt heads and try to get one another to move out. On top of their fighting, Autumn has a stalker! They call a truce until they can figure out who is behind the threats.

This book is a mix of romance and thriller/suspense. With some twists that kept me asking who this stalker was. I did appreciate that part of the book. While I did enjoy this book - it did fall a little flat for me. I read it in a day but there were parts that I thought dragged out and there were a few small plot holes.

I did adore these characters. I loved the banter between them. Elijah was fabulous. It was refreshing that he did not treat her as though she was disabled. My favorite character was probably Brinkley!

I did not finish this one, it was not for me, I couldn't relate to the characters, and just did not care for the story.

My reading took a backseat to other things in life in the months leading up to pub date for this book and I was not able to read and review. I still haven’t fully caught up on my backlist, but I hope to get to this book in the future and I look forward to reading it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher and my sincere apologies. Life is like that sometimes.

First of all, I should have done some exploring of this book before I requested it to read. I am NOT a fan of romance books and so it’s obvious why I didn’t care for the book that much. A quick and easy read, there was just not enough to keep my attention and make me care about the lives of the characters. There is no depth to the characters and the story line did not keep my attention.

A cute and perfect romance. I loved and enjoyed the story soo much! The characters are relatable and realistic. I love the atmosphere and theme of the story. It was refreshing even though there was a flawed characters. The pace was good and the romance was too tier! I'm looking forward to the other books by the author!

3.5 stars!

This one was fun, quick, and a little spicy! ;) The romance was cute and although it was a little fast, their banter/hijinks were fun to read. It did lean a little too close to instalove for me, but I still loved Autumn and Elijah's chemistry.

I felt like the plot twist was a bit predictable, but it was still enjoyable.

Thanks to Kate Callaghan and NetGalley for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very sweet cosy romcom with a twist. I'm always fan of a good enemies-to-lovers story and this book delivered. The end was suspenseful and had me on the edge of my seat. It was a quick and very enjoyable read overall. I applaud the mental health representation especially when tackling anxiety but also addressing what it is like to have chronic pain, something that I hadn't encountered before in a book.
I also loved the dog.

This book was okay.

It felt a little rushed. The whole story takes place over the span of like... one, maybe two months. The two main characters meet, hate each other, and then fall in love? All within a span of a few weeks this story takes place. While I enjoyed the writing itself, and the plot had a lot of good potential... it just fell short in a lot of places.

If only the book was as cute as the cover.

I'll admit I was sucked in initially by the cute cover and went in completely blind. That being said, based on the cover, I was expecting a cute fun romance and was taken by surprise when I started reading. I loved this. So. Freaking. Much. Autumn traumatic past, and how she overcame her obstacles and took charge of her life, was inspiring. I also wasn't expecting to be on the edge of my seat, trying to guess who was stalking Autumn (and guessing wrong!) for pretty much the entire book. Elijah and Autumn's relationship felt a little immature at times when they were arguing, I think maybe because some arguments just seemed to drag on for a while. Overall, I really enjoyed reading about them and felt that their love was very authentic and wholesome. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a bit of a thriller with your romance and if you like the forced proximity trope. Thank you to NetGalley for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review!

This was so cute! I really felt the chemistry between these characters and I really appreciated the chronic pain representation, which I thought was done really well. I also really liked that this book is centered around music, it's like another sense is added to the reading experience when you imagine Autumn's playing.

There was also a great mystery aspect. I thought the author did a pretty good job of blending two genres, while still keeping it cozy. It felt authentic. I read a lot of thrillers and I am very impressed by the author, because when I thought I had everything figured out, turns out I didn't!

Overall, my only complaint was that it took awhile to get into and the pacing was heavily weighted on the back half of the book. Not necessarily bad, but I felt like some of the mystery was rushed and had plot holes (like things that were mentioned as "clues" early in the book were not brought back later, even though they could've been, which left for some confusion and a little more desired. I just wish the mystery part was included more throughout the book.

3.5/5 Stars!!

Thank you so much for the ARC!!!

This was such a cute read!! I really enjoyed the enemies to lovers and the forced proximity trope in this book, I surprisingly don't read many with the forced proximity/shared space trope so this was a nice change of pace for me! I loved the way this was written, and how although it was in third person we got the different POVs. Elijah and Autumn were sooooooo cute.

However....I could not really stay focused on this book and the story. I felt like i knew who the culprit was the whole time, and it was very blatantly obvious instead of being more of a plot twist. I wasn't sure if that was on purpose, or if the plot twist just wasnt all that twisty. I would've loved some more angst between Autumn and Elijah as well, because it felt a littttttle close to instalove trope– which is one of my least favorites because of the lack of build up. Like i said this was written super well, but i found myself skimming through some parts especially when it came to Garret and Nina or when she would be at rehearsals, i just wasn't that interested.

Overall, this was a really cute story. It really highlighted the struggle of having chronic pain and what that can do to a person. I do wish we wouldve gotten more of Autumns backstory, and i think the issue i have is that i felt like i just didn't really know the characters. All their problems just kinda seemed....random....? I'm honestly not sure how to describe it but i had a hard time connecting to any of the characters in the story. For example, Autumn didn't like talking about her parents and if they were such a sore spot, I would've enjoyed reading more about that. Instead i think they only are mentioned maybe three times and then never again. Not sure if that makes sense but I wish these plot points were just a lil more fleshed out.

In the end, I enjoyed this read!

The cover, title and the description of the story really did grab me; and I was really excited for this story but I'm not sure it didn't fully catch me. The romance and the interactions were cute and I'd be interested in reading more by the author in the future. Overall it was a fun easy simple romance.

- grumpy sunshine
- he falls first
- hates everyone but you
- forced proximity
- hate to love
- chronic illness rep

This was my first time reading Kate Callahan. The story was really cute. Autumn has chronic back pain from an accident when she was a teenager. I myself have multiple chronic health issues. I found it so relatable when Autumn said she can barely take care of herself how would she ever care for a dog or plant. Autumn and Eli have a bit of a rough start living together. The back and forward banter between Autumn and Eli was so good.

The only thing that was missing for me was a resolution to her parents not supporting her music career. I would have liked to see them attend her show.

This book was alright. I likely wouldnt recommend it but I also wouldn’t say it’s the worst book I’ve ever read. I found it difficult to really care about the characters and their story. I also didn’t feel like the story developed organically. It was more of being told what was happening rather than it just happening.

I had a difficult time getting into Ms Perfectly Fine. I've been reading it off and on for a few months, and I've realized I must not be the target audience. I see the appeal. It contains many of my favorite tropes. The mystery aspect is intriguing. I just couldn't connect with the characters.

Fans of Sarah Adams "When in Rome" will enjoy the pacing, the banter, and the reluctant romance between the characters.

Thank you, Kate Callaghan and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read this book!

The main characters fell in love way to soon for my liking, I am not a big fan of the “InstaLove Trope” It was a cute book, but wasn’t something I will ever see myself reading again. The writing wasn’t bad. It just felt like it lacked a bit of substance. The relationship felt a tad bit forced and way to quick. It was a quick and easy read. Maybe a good palette cleanser between books.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley. This review is honest, unbiased, and completely my own.

This book was so good! This had everything a book needs to be good. It was a very unique story but with relatable, fun characters. I love the chronic pain representation, this is something thats not written about enough. It has tragic backstory, a meetcute, some enemies to lovers though. It has mystery, and a villain, as well as good friendships and romance. Overall i really really enjoyed this book!

This was a first time read for me by this author. The story was cute with a grumpy/sunshine trope and is a good read for a lazy afternoon. Eli and Autumn are balancing on a fine line between love and hate. Much to her dismay, Autumn's landlord rents out the ground floor of her townhouse to Eli. Being forced to live in the same house, Eli is willing to go along with it, but Autunm is stubborn and is not willing to accept the situation without a fight. On top of dealing with their living arrangements, they are also going through their own personal and professional problems. Eli is drawn to Autumn, and Autumn does everything she can to try and make him leave. But no matter what she does, Eli is only more drawn to her and he isn't going anywhere.
I enjoyed the banter between them and they had good chemistry. The story flowed well and was entertaining and came to a satisfying conclusion. All in all, an enjoyable read.
