When a blurb for this proclaims “Ted Lasso meets Bridgerton for a 19th century spin on The Hangover, I, for one, am intrigued.

With friendship, romance, and adventures, this Regency-romance-with-a-twist was engagingly written and I found Earls Trip an irresistible, enjoyable and very very fun read.

Thank you to Kensington Books and NetGalley for the sampler DRC

I only got to read an early excerpt, but I anticipate that the full novel will continue the clever banter and thoughtful relationship building. This is a sparkling twist of the Regency romance conventions, and I look forward to reading more, especially since it is going to be a series.

This fun Regency era novel brings humor and a lively look at a group of male friends on a yearly excursion. It has a modern feel that adds to the romantic charm when two lovely
ladies become the focus of their attention. Loved it!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Opinions are mine.

Fantastic story!

I loved the relationship between Archie, Simon, and Effie, and how the glimpses of their past adventures together developed into a realistic and solid friendship. I also appreciated the depiction of Clementine and Olive's sisterly relationship, and how the motivations for their choices were revealed in such a way as to deepen their connection. I finished reading and wanted to flip back to the first page and read it all again.

I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Much appreciation to #NetGalley for a review copy of #EarlsTrip.

Oh I’m so excited for the full book! I can already tell it’s going to be screwball comedy-esque with maybe a twist of Hangover or something?? I also know that Girl’s Trip got crazy, so I expect SHENANIGANS. I’ll be interested to see if there’s spice. Will update when I get the full book!

I liked what I read so far I love regency era. I cannot wait to see the full novel.

I know there’s going to be some hilarious trauma that is going to and see you and I’m looking forward to it. The cover was also very beautiful. I could see that as a face out in my store.

Although this was only a short preview (20 pages of the digital copy), this seems like an entertaining book! I'd be curious to see how this story plays out, as the first available section did grab my attention, and I would willingly continue to read the rest of the story when it becomes available. I am interested in seeing how this more modern tone works as we get further into the story, but the beginning was charming. You just have to be prepared for the more modern writing, and I expect this book to be a light and fun read.

I’m so exited for this one, even though we only got the first chapter! I’m excited to see the earls’ friendships develop over the book as it already seems so sweet.

I was granted an ARC of Earls Trip (thank you NetGalley!) and I almost cried when I realized it was just a sample. I am so excited for the release!

Jenny Holiday creates a world in which I automatically want to join up on this boys trip in 1820, if only to learn more about the hilarious adventures of this group of friends. I love the unique take on a boys trip!

Holiday has created a fun loving group of friends and sprinkled an entire romance story in the middle of it, making me want more of both stories. I can’t wait for release day!

Thanks for the advanced snippet of the work! I enjoyed the section very much. Upon reading the description I was a bit worried I would confuse the characters, but the writing was clear and character development sufficient to ensure that the characters remained "straight" in my head. I'm hesitant to put a review on GoodReads because I wasn't able to read the entire book, but hope to receive a full copy of Earls Trip. The snippet left me wanting more! Thanks again!

4*

Please note that this review is based on a preview, not the full story.

An interesting opening to the story, with a trio of quirky characters that seem capable of driving an interesting plot forward. I'm excited to see how the titular Earls tackle the trials coming their way, particularly the damsel in distress who I'm sure doesn't need saving.

Only had a small segment sent me as an ARC but so far I’m intrigued. Earls are sent to track down old friends to stop a wedding? I’m feeling some hijinks are afoot! Can’t wait to read the rest!

Ok I cannot wait to see what happens during this earls trip after reading the sample. This is such a fun premise of a guys trip overtaken by the request to save fair ladies! Oh this book is going to be such fun!

This was adorable. I love the characters already. It felt a bit like if Austen time traveled into present day and was familiar with our references. Holiday's usual banter is absolutely on point, and although the premise is something that fits well in the regency era it still feels fresh and fun.

I will definitely want to read the rest of Earl's Trip when it's available!

I just read a little excerpt and i already fell in love. Earls Trip is a “romance” historial/era book that introduce us to a three-male friends group, which are Archie, Simon and Effie and they’re about to go on a trip, their annual’s Earls trip.
The way Jenny Holiday writes makes reading this book so easily, and giving us some glimpse to the characters interests and backgrounds, boost even more the want of keep reading it. It made me so excited for what’s going to happen next, after the teaser phrase of “what happens on earls trip, stay on earls trip”.
can’t wait to read this!
