This was my first ever Jenny holiday book & I am obsessed! This one is such a fun historical fiction novel with a modern twist that is filled with laughter & friendship!

This was a charming and super fun regency romance.

I loved the premise: 3 best friends who take a yearly guys trip together. I loved how Jenny Holiday described the phenomenon of spending time with the people you love, how we often forfeit sleep in order together the most time together. “It was a fortnight of physical fatigue, trades for mental replenishment that would last the year.” And isn’t that so often the case. This year their boys trip gets crashed by two sisters. Making this Earl’s trip one everyone will remember.

You will absolutely fall in love with the 3 Earl’s and their friendship. It is the pure and true friendship that only comes around once or twice in a lifetime. And it’s that same type of friendship that paves the way for Archie and Clementine.

Clementine is vehemently against marriage, seeing it as its own type of prison. But she asks Archie to show her the pleasures of marriage, free from the shackles of it. And Archie just wants to give Clem what she wants. He knows he could never tame anyone so wild as Clementine. He wouldn’t want to. But the more entangled Clem becomes with Archie, the more she begins to question if all marriages are cages, or if sometimes a man can be home.

Honestly adored this book. It’s such a feel good story that will sweep you away to the English Country side and make you want to call your best friend!

Thank you to NetGalley, Kensington Books, and to the author for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I took about 100 screenshots of quotes that I loved as I was reading the book, and now that I’ve finished it I’m just sitting here in happy shock, unable to sort them all into any sort of coherence. It originally felt like I was reading a male version of Little Women, men who don’t have an ounce of toxic masculinity anywhere near their general vicinities that is, and I had already fallen in love with the book at that point. But then it took a turn into a gentle, slow-burning romance that I couldn’t look away from for even a minute. I just can’t even express how much I loved it!!! The book was effortlessly witty, and soothing, and perfect in every way. I can’t wait to have a copy sitting on my shelf so that I can revisit like an old friend.

Well this was just delightful! I saw a friend post this ARC and I immediately requested - so glad I did. It was so much fun and the MMC’s were flamed but still charming. It actually made me laugh out loud. The regency era vibes were very fun but it was unique and had a nice modern tone. The friendship between Archie, Simon and Effie was top tier and well written. I read for my job all day long a lot of the time and this was a perfect book for a nice pallet cleanser. Would recommend!

Earls Trip opens with a Ted Lasso quote and that couldn’t have been more appropriate. A romantic comedy set in 1820s England with not a drop of toxicity in it and men talking about their feelings with each other? Is that even possible? This book was a delight to read, especially as a fan of character focused and driven stories. I felt like I knew each character so well and adored the relationships. The fact that there were full chapters of the three men simply enjoying each other’s company and expressing how fond they are of each other warmed my heart - likewise with the sister focused chapters. I will say the amount of conversations in the first half did make me feel impatient for the romance to start, but by the time I finished the book I was thankful for every second we had with these characters. Adored!

I adored this book. First, the MCs were men. Fully realized, incredibly flawed, and yet so yummy. Very Big Themes addressed, realistically and compassionately. Oh, and laugh=out-loud funny. What's not to adore? I cannot wait for the next one!

When a blurb for this proclaims “Ted Lasso meets Bridgerton for a 19th century spin on The Hangover, I, for one, am intrigued.

With friendship, romance, and adventures, this Regency-romance-with-a-twist was engagingly written and I found Earls Trip an irresistible, enjoyable and very very fun read.

I only got to read an early excerpt, but I anticipate that the full novel will continue the clever banter and thoughtful relationship building. This is a sparkling twist of the Regency romance conventions, and I look forward to reading more, especially since it is going to be a series.

This fun Regency era novel brings humor and a lively look at a group of male friends on a yearly excursion. It has a modern feel that adds to the romantic charm when two lovely
ladies become the focus of their attention. Loved it!

Thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for the ARC.

Opinions are mine.

Fantastic story!

I loved the relationship between Archie, Simon, and Effie, and how the glimpses of their past adventures together developed into a realistic and solid friendship. I also appreciated the depiction of Clementine and Olive's sisterly relationship, and how the motivations for their choices were revealed in such a way as to deepen their connection. I finished reading and wanted to flip back to the first page and read it all again.

I can't wait for the next book in the series!

Much appreciation to #NetGalley for a review copy of #EarlsTrip.

Oh I’m so excited for the full book! I can already tell it’s going to be screwball comedy-esque with maybe a twist of Hangover or something?? I also know that Girl’s Trip got crazy, so I expect SHENANIGANS. I’ll be interested to see if there’s spice. Will update when I get the full book!

I liked what I read so far I love regency era. I cannot wait to see the full novel.

I know there’s going to be some hilarious trauma that is going to and see you and I’m looking forward to it. The cover was also very beautiful. I could see that as a face out in my store.

Although this was only a short preview (20 pages of the digital copy), this seems like an entertaining book! I'd be curious to see how this story plays out, as the first available section did grab my attention, and I would willingly continue to read the rest of the story when it becomes available. I am interested in seeing how this more modern tone works as we get further into the story, but the beginning was charming. You just have to be prepared for the more modern writing, and I expect this book to be a light and fun read.
