Thank you to Net Galley and the publisher for this arc. This story was an okay read. I didn't really like the characters.
"Filthy Desires" by R.M. Grey is a captivating and steamy read. The chemistry between Reese and Lucas is electrifying, making their interactions a highlight of the novel. The erotic scenes are well-written, with a creative flair that keeps you engaged. However, the pacing felt a bit uneven at times, and I would have loved more depth in character development. While the focus on erotica is intense, the overall narrative could be stronger. This book is perfect for those who enjoy a steamy, straightforward romance with fiery interactions.
This is a good book. The two main characters are Reese and Lucas. Reese is in her last year of college. Lucas is the CEO of his company. They meet at a night club that Lucas owns. They start dating. They each have issues but together they work them out and fall in love.
Thank you to Netgalley and R.M. Grey for an arc of this novel.
In this story we follow Reese and Lucas. Reese is an economics student about to graduate when her best friend takes her to a bar which is owned by Lucas. Lucas and Reese have sex in his office and when they are done her best friend texts her because she was injected with a drug that would make her fall asleep so she goes to the hospital. While there Reese is flirted by the doctor taking care of her best friend and he gives her her number. Lucas goes to Reese's school and becomes a guest lecturer in her economics class. They start dating and one night when they are having dinner the guy that attacked Reese's best friend shows up who happens to be Lucas's half brother and Reese leaves. Reese is so upset that she gets coffee with the doctor who took care of her best friend and. he tries to sexually assault her and ends up getting arrested and charges filed. Reese graduates and she and Lucas get back together after Reese sees him talking to another female student and believes him to be just like her dad who left her and her mom who died of caner. Reese and Lucas announce their relationship and it ends with their relationship going smoothly and lots of sex.
Oh my God! This novel was incredible. The content within the pages hits all the marks when it comes to erotica. I mean, I tried to read it out loud at one point but man it was so detailed i decided to keep it in my mind as i have children. I did however read it out loud to my partner when the kids were in bed and sleeping that way they never heard anything haha. What an novel. I was thoroughly amused and entertained. In terms of erotic content , the author has done an exceptional job and i highly commend them for this novel. I would highly recommend that people take a read for themselves as i am sure that they will pleasantly surprised especially if erotica is what they are seeking because the scenes in this novel are creative and detailed and leaves nothing to the imagination. One of my favourite novels to date. Well done and congratulations on such an amazing novel.
Reese and Lucas are explosive together.... I read it in one sitting and I loved it... A bit of forbidden love, drama, and some scorching hot scenes...
I receved a complimentary copy of Filthy Desires in exchange for an honest review. This was a quick and easy to read erotica romance. It packed a lot of plot into a short space, but it worked. There were a few surprises along the way which helped. I'd defintely read more by R.M. Grey.
This was DNF for me. the prose read like it hadn't been through any beta reviews. very jerky, inconsistent voice with a sentence structure issue that went beyond basic grammar or style errors. the lack of white space made it very hard to read as well,.
thank you to netgalley for the advnaced reading copy of filthy desires. this was good and alot like other high romance almost erotica books
This book was mediocre. I felt the main character Reese insufferable at times. She felt whiny and childlike. I can appreciate the “not hearing someone out” trope for a bit but the way it was handled in this book just seemed ridiculous and unnecessary. I would’ve liked to see more about Carter and Melissa, I liked them together. I did believe the chemistry between Lucas and Reese but he was almost too attached too quickly. Overall a quick read, but not a favourite and certainly not memorable
Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this quick read. Spicy and so so good. When a billionaire playboy walks into a classroom, sparks will fly.
I am well aware that this is supposed to be an erotica but the lack of chemistry between both characters, honestly all the characters, was a huge disappointment. It would have been much nicer if they try to communicate or have a talk without someone snapping or trying to be "I am not like the other girl" type of conversation. He wants to be a regular guy but then he goes around flaunting his money. The consent did not feel like consent. The powerplay made me feel uncomfortable. It is daddy kink but it was so icky to read. If this book has over more than 200 pages, it would have been fine. We could get to know the characters more. A little over 100 pages was not doing its justice. Thank you netgalley for giving me a chance to read and review this book.
I enjoyed the storyline between Reese and Lucas - just enough balance between romance and a little substance.
This book simply wasn't for me. It was too fast paced. That's why I couldn't connect with any of the characters. There was a decent amount of smut, which was mostly the whole plot, which I don't mind. But also these scenes weren't described very detailed and felt rushed.
This book was hot. I was delightfully surprised to find out it was novella length. If you don't like age gaps or when the guy really chases the FMC, this ain't for you. However, if you want some short and steamy fun? go for it. you're not reading this book for it's stellar plot or well developed characters, but it's fun and hot and a quick read.
This is an age gap romance book. Rich older man, young woman, you get the picture. I did not enjoy the dirty talk. If you are into Daddy/Kitten/Baby dirty talk, this one is for you.
It was a nice quick steamy read with a splash of mystery and suspense.. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it.
I enjoyed the first book in the series, so I was excited to read this one. Unfortunately, this did not hold up and I struggled to finish it. Lucas and Reese had no chemistry and said all of 20 words to each other before they’re going at it on his desk with no condom, and he takes her word for it that she's on birth control. No billionaire is having unprotected sex with a woman he just met in a club unless he's fishing for a paternity suit or worse. And I did not like Reese at all. She was wishy washy, rude, at times TSTL, and she did that thing I hate where she jumped to conclusions and didn’t give him a chance to explain. Their relationship moved so quickly I kept flipping back to see if I missed something, and the sex, which seemed to be the only focus of their relationship, were so awkward to read. There were 5 pages of sex scenes for every half page of story and I finally had to start skipping them to get to the end.
This was not for me. I appreciate the ARC but DNF about 10 percent in. I love a dominating male character but this wasn’t it for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and R.M. Grey/publishers for the ARC.
If you are looking for a short, enjoyable, low stakes, and low intensity this is the book for you! Spice in the first chapter? Sign me up! I would say the spice is at about a 4 for me!
The plot was fast paced, but more spice focused then plot forward.
I love the friendship between Reece and Melissa. Ride or die!
Summary:
One night in a club with a handsome stranger who turns out to her professor! Come a long with Reece and Lucas as they navigate this new, taboo relationship. It include a small age gap, some kink, and a whole-lotta spice.
I will say I felt like this book was a bit rushed especially towards the end!
Overall, if this is the kinda book you are looking for this is it! Make sure you check triggers before reading!
