A serial arsonist is looking for revenge against Hazel and her family. When Hazel finds out her son and his Championship friends are missing possibly kidnapped in the middle of the forest she will do everything she can to find him. Especially since there are so many elements that could get the boys as well as the serial arsonist she will work together with Mitchell a firefighter who will do everything we can to help Hazel find the boys.

Whew this book jumps right into the middle of the action. From the moment the book starts readers will be hooked by the massive of amounts of things that happen it was barely a minute to rest. I enjoyed following along I say follow the bread crumbs to finding the boys and figuring out how to deal with their faith that was really being tested throughout the book. I like that while there was interest between Hazel and Mitchell it really didn't do much in this book I mean there is no time for Romance time is of the essence with this book. I thought it was interested in the family dynamic and the issues people had with Hazel's father he really was something else. Overall I really enjoyed this action packed book it really will leave you hooked.

Kept Me Guessing

This romantic suspense truly keeps the suspense going throughout and kept me guessing up to the very end. It had a lot of surprising twists and turns which kept me turning pages to see what was next. The romance was in the background, but it kept me wondering how Hazel and Mitchell would ever come to terms. This is a quick read that will keep you glued to the pages up to the very end.

I have to say right at the start that the cover of this new book by Darlene L. Turner grabbed my attention. The story drew me in right from the beginning. Canadian Rocky Mountain Park Warden Hazel Hoyt has a lot going on. She has an overbearing father for her supervisor, wild fires in the park and now her young son is missing along with other campers. There is a serial arsonist terrorizing the area. Fire fighter, Mitchell Booth is on the scene, one of the last people Hazel wants to see. Can she let her best friend's older brother help her look for her little boy? Can she let hurt from the past allow her to trust again?
I received this book from the publisher and NetGalley. This is my personal and unsolicited opinion about it. I like these characters. Both Hazel and Mitchell have traumatic pain from the past accompanied by low trust issues and severely shaken faith. The story is filled with twists and turns, immersing the characters in danger. It's a good read for someone who likes to try to figure out 'who done it' and why these things are happening.

3.5 stars. Fast-paced adventure

This story moves along quickly, lots of twists and turns trying to find the arsonist/kidnapper. Hazel’s son goes missing during a camping trip and it turns out he and other children were kidnapped by someone who wanted revenge on Hazel. Mitchell, the brother of Hazel’s best friend and her childhood crush is partnered with her to find the boys and solve the mystery.

This was a good book to spend a quiet Sunday reading. Strong Christian themes.

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

Mountain Abduction Rescue by Darlene Turner is one heart-racing story. Hazel Holt teams up with her childhood crush Mitchell Booth to find her abducted son. They race through the mountains, chasing an illusive arsonist known as Firebug. Only Firebug has targeted Hazel.

This story is intense. Hazel’s son is missing and lost in the wilderness. And Firebug seems one step ahead of Hazel’s attempt to get him back. I thought that Hazel’s father was a bit too intense though. He seemed to have major anger issues – his gruffness was kind of over the top. But I do like second chance stories, and having Hazel’s high school crush be the hero of the story is sweet. Mitchell had to come to terms with the fact that Hazel wasn’t just his kid sister’s friend.

I definitely enjoyed the non-stop danger, and the mountains are full of all kinds of trouble, from animal predators to those of the human-kind.  This story packs a lot of action into a short space, and I love stories that race against the clock. If you like missing in the wilderness survival stories, this is one novel you won’t want to miss.

This book gives us a glimpse into the life of wildfire fighters and park rangers. It takes place in Canada, but could happen anywhere. The author is good at leading you astray when you try to figure out who is setting fires in a national park and why. The main characters' faith is tested many times. There are encouragements from God throughout the book. The suspense builds and comes to a head near the end of the book. The characters are likeable and the plot is engaging. I just noticed the cover of the book. It depicts one terrifying moment in the story.

Thank you to NetGalley for an advanced reader copy for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading this book. It had lots of action and suspense going for it. It showed how far a mother will go to rescue their child. Without giving too many spoilers, I did find it interesting how someone who was stabbed, then gone down rapids could do all the things that Hazel did. I liked Mitchell also. He was willing to risk it all to help Hazel find her son. Hazel's father I did not like. He was a bully.

I recommend this book to all who like a good mystery.

The author has done it again - an edge-of-your-seat story that you will be hard pressed to figure out.

There is a firebug starting fires in the Rocky Mountains and in towns in Alberta. For Hazel, a park warden, this is scary and very dangerous. And now her son and several members of his scout troop have been kidnapped in the Micmore National Park. Who would do such a thing and what do they want with the boys?

Mitchell is a wildland firefighter, concerned that they seem to be unable to catch this firebug. Will there be loss of life as well, or will they manage to find the boys before the fires catch them? Everyone says he should give their safety over to the Lord, but how on earth can he trust that God will give a positive outcome?

An early copy was received through Love Inspired Suspense. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

This book will keep you on the edge of your seat! It's full of action, suspense, twists and turns, faith and romance. Hazel and Mitchell's story hooks you on the first page and doesn't let go. Loved it and highly recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Christian romantic suspense.

Mountain Abduction Rescue by Darlene L. Turner is an exciting tale. I thought it was well-written with developed characters. The author’s vivid descriptions of the Canadian Rocky Mountains brought the area to life for me. I loved all the action, tension, and suspense (kidnapping, arson, controlling father who is also her boss). I enjoyed the mystery. I love solving whodunits and I had fun figuring this one out. There were some good twists along the way (and a red herring or two). You can tell that there is still a connection between Hazel and Mitchell. The pair must work together if they are to save Hazel’s son as well as the other campers plus stop an arsonist. The romance is about the rekindling of buried feelings. Mountain Abduction Rescue is the third book in Crisis Rescue Team series. It can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the first two books in the series (they are as enticing as this one). I found myself staying up late and quickly turning the pages to see how Mountain Abduction Rescue would turn out (but also sorry to see it end). Mountain Abduction Rescue is a suspenseful story with prolific fires, captured campers, a domineering dad, revived feelings, a dismayed mother, treacherous trails, and a vengeful foe.

Very well written Christian suspense. I loved the setting of the state park in the Canadian wilderness. It was the perfect setup for the romantic suspense. High nonstop action will have you holding your breath. A madman firebug is setting dangerous fires in the wilderness and won’t let anyone stop him.

When young boys turn up missing a mother will go to any extent to bring them back including putting herself in danger. You can feel the rush of adrenaline as time ticks away with dangerous fires popping up everywhere but when young missing children are thrown into the mix there is a whole new sense of urgency to find them.

With red herrings thrown into the mix to throw you off track this is a high stakes edge of your seat case to solve. Having read other books by this author I can recommend them all and look forward to solving more cases soon in the books to come.

A fast-paced romantic suspense. I realize this is inspirational romance, but there were too many God references for me. I get tired of clothing descriptions in books as I feel as if it is just filler. None of that in this story, just lots of prayers, etc. Exciting action and sweet romance. Tragic back stories for each in the couple. Never would have guessed the bad guys. Cleverly done. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.

Fast passed action set over just a few days. A firebug is setting fires to the local national park and geeds to be stopped. Meanwhile, someone is bent on to kidnapping the son of the local warden, sending a group of 8 year old boys on the run into the wilderness away from the kidnappers. Can all the boys be found before the kidnappers get to them and can the firebug be stopped? Things take a strange turn when all the events seem to be personal against Warden Hazel Hoyt. Can Mitchell, head of the local wilderness firefighters help? On top of this, sparks seem to be flying between Hazel and Mitchell but they both have relationship issues they have to deal with first, as well as learning to trust in God.

Mountain abduction rescue.
By Darlene L Turner
Comes out August 22, 2023

This is Hazel, Hoyts and Michell Booth’s story.

Hazel is a Park Worden and Michell is a wild fire crew leader. There has been an underlying attraction for many years. But Michell is Hazel‘s best friends, brother. So they have held their feelings at bay.
After years of not seeing each other they are now on a case together. They are trying to find a serial arsonist and to add to the action, they also have to find three boys who were kidnapped while on a camping trip. One of the boys is Hazel’s son, Jackson.
The story is filled with twist, turns and nailbiting moments.

Darlene has done it again! A very suspenseful page turner!
I highly recommend this action packed clean Christian story.

As a part of Darlene L Turner’s review team, I was given this book by NetGalley and return for my honest opinion.

This book was redundant in many places but the overlying theme of second chances and forgiveness was evident regardless. It is easy reading and enjoyable.

Wow - nonstop action! It starts with a bang and doesn’t stop all the way through. There are many touching moments regarding family, children, a love interest, and sibling bonding. All throughout there are conversations with God. Some people trust in Him through difficult times, and some lose all faith and turn away. I highly recommend this author if you’re looking for an action filled story.

Thank you to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the ARC.
