Great book with help to help parents with kids who are hard to deal with. I have a child who is autistic & has ADHD. I can't get him to do anything, but his dad can. This book gave me other ways to help me with him.

I connect with this book on such a deep level. As a parent of a child who is challenging you feel so alone. You are judged by others, parents, school staff, random people in public. It’s so difficult. Reading this book felt like a hug. The acknowledgment that others have been through what I’m going through. That my child isn’t the only one who has been labeled difficult, that teachers don’t know how to control, that I’m not the only parent that dreads the almost daily phone calls home, whose child was kicked out of daycare. I am not alone. I cannot tell you how validating that feels. This book has been life changing for myself and my family. I would love to meet the author in person and thank her. Thank you thank you for writing this book. You saved me and you saved my son and you saved my family. Thank you! Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to read an advanced copy.

Thank you Simon Element, S&S/Simon Element and NetGalley for providing me with an advanced copy of this book. I had the opportunity to interview Dayna for my podcast and was looking forward to finishing her book. Are you in search of a parenting guide that genuinely addresses your individual circumstances, without making you feel like something's wrong with you or your child? Do you need a source of hope that acknowledges your depleted energy levels and offers assistance not only for your kids but for you as well? If so, "Calm the Chaos" is the perfect choice for you. Dayna, who has experienced similar challenges, presents the information in an easily digestible manner so that you can recall it when you need it most. Plus, the book features helpful doodles to aid in memory retention. Well done, Dayna!

I am a mom of 5 children and most of us have ADHD to some degree. I am a dyslexia tutor and most of my students have ADHD as well. I also meet with parents as part of the screening process and I am amazed at how many of them either don't understand ADHD or their child that has it or even themselves. I am so excited to learn the tools in this book for my family, my students and the parents I interact with. I know that the information in this book will help sooooooooooooooooooooooo many children, parents, and families. Please, please read this book!

Have you gone to multiple doctors to find out what is wrong with your child; ? Afterwards your child still acts out and you are still getting calls from the school. Feeling lost, sad, frustrated and angry you want to give up… STOP and read this book. You are in crisis mode and you need to Stop , Breathe and Anchor before you can start changing your life and your childs. Dayna Abraham has created a simple way to understand not only your child but how we react to our child makes all of the difference when they are in crisis/meltdown mode. The best part this can work for caregivers, educators and anyone that works with children.
This book is easy to follow, easy to read and unlike many parenting books was written by a parent . Not only by a parent; but one that has gone through moments of feeling there is nothing they can do. .

I was able to get a "sneak peek". When everyone is in bed, it is my time. The author has "been there, done that, " she knows what it is like to parent children from hard places. As a foster family, I need daily reminders and this author has incredible "doodles" in her book. I have laughed, cried, and screamed while reading this fabulous book.
This is a MUST read for all parents. This is a great down to Earth parenting book which gives you helpful tools to "survive the storms" of life. This book has given me hope that I am not on an island by myself, trying to figure out this parenting journey. I have little "cheat" sheets around my house to remind me to stop, breathe and anchor. This book is a fool proof way to make your family go from "surviving to thriving".
