Complex Heroes + *Dark* Villains + Taut Suspense = Winning Combo. While this particular tale almost seems like the ending of at least Phase 1 of these heroes (and you should absolutely start at the beginning of this series, rather than jumping directly into this book), this is also a book that features some of the most complex and complicated heroes I've come across in fiction - which is a worthy aim as an author, and one Leadbeater pulls off remarkably well. It also has some of the most brutal, sadistic killers I've ever come across in fiction - which is another win, certainly for those who like that particular type of villain. And seriously, from pretty well Page 1, the stakes are sky-high and never really drop, even as different team members get different parts of this particular tale to truly shine in. Truly one of the better crafted team-based adventure series I've ever come across. Very much recommended.

As I'm Italian born and bread I always have fun in reading thriller that talks about Vatican and conspiracies considering that usually really is even more complex.
This was a good one and I had a lot of fun. Gripping, action packed and fast paced
Recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine

Ahh, dear. I'm kicking myself as I usually manage to keep my eyes on the archive date and download before they occur, but I somehow managed to miss this one. I have just purchased it as I still want to read it as much as ever, My apologies for missing the archive date.

I thoroughly enjoyed 'The Babylon Plot' by David Leadbeater. The narrative grips you from the very beginning, making it a real page-turner. The tension and suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, eager to see how the story unfolds. Some plot twists were surprising, adding an exciting layer to the overall experience.
Being book number 4 in the series, It left me curious about the characters' past experiences, making me want to explore earlier instalments, even if I read the previous one. These characters are very complex and I love how the author made them more appealing and intriguing even if they only seem to be way too ordinary ones.
The protagonist, Joe Mason, is a compelling character, and his pursuit of justice against the vengeful Marduk is both intense and riveting.
Leadbeater's writing style is clear and engaging, making the story easy to follow and enjoy. The themes of revenge, survival, and the battle between good and evil are woven skillfully into the plot. I look forward to diving into the author's future works and exploring more of this captivating series.

Joe and the rest of the Quest Investigations team are back in action. Their fledgling business is getting noticed and they are working flat out. But when Marduk escapes prisons, Joe and the team will have to track down their number one enemy. Again!

As usual no one on the team, or any of their allies, are safe. They'll race across Europe and the UK traying to put Marduk either behind bars or in the ground. They do have some new allies they can rely on but will they manage to work quickly enough to save the Vatican, Christianity and Joe himself.

I really enjoy this series. There is plenty of action and adventure, history and even a smidge of a hint of a potential romance! This crew of misfits put the fun in dysfunctional found family! They're all trying to make up for past sins in their own way - and each dealing with their traumas in their own inimitable way!

The gruesome twosome really gave me the ick - the callous disregard they have for life is horrifying and sadly all too believable. Can't wait to see what awaits the team in book #5!

WOW!!! The author has an incredible gift of writing thrillers…I was just blown away by everything in this book and need to read more by this author. Needless to say I am an instant huge fan

The biggest skill of the writer is never letting you realise all these flaws while you are reading the book. He places enough cherries on top and on every side so that the reader picks the cherries and ignores everything else. The Babylon Plot can please the reader who is interested in spending a few hours basking in nail-biting thrills, action, violence, and some minor conspiracy theories and who doesn't mind half-baked characters or convenient plot devices.

As action thrillers go I think “Full On” about covers it. Unfinished business is re-opened following a jail break and all paths, strewn with violence, lead to the Vatican and one mans attempt to bring it down, with a side order of Mason and his team along the way. This time it ends………
