This book was a perfectly splendid and cute small town hallmark romance for fall!

4.25 stars/5.

It hits all the tropes perfectly while still providing depth to the characters, their fears, wants, needs, and leaves room for a romance to blossom. Logan and Jeanie are so cute together and perfect with each other. They also feel like real people. They have realistic thought processes and actions for the most part, even if I personally wouldn’t do things how Jeanie or Logan do them, I get where they’re coming from. I’m not the biggest fan of insta love or love at first sight, but it’s done right in pumpkin spice cafe! I hope that anybody who picks it up loves it like I did.

Pumpkin spice has the perfect small town feel. Gave me real Stars Hollow Gilmore Girls vibes starting off. The exception is that Jeanie is a single woman. She is very quirky and animated. While Logan is very quiet and calm. So Lorelei and Luke. This reads more as a romance to me. There was a slight mystery that gets solved quickly. Then there was another mystery with a very (even stated in the book) anticlimactic ending. For this I rate 4 stars and not 5 because it was categorized as cozy mystery romance. There wasn’t much mystery in my opinion. However, I did enjoy the read and the town. It seems like there will be another book but following other characters. I would continue the series if this is the case.

A perfect little cosy romance for the autumn season. I was definitely attracted to this book by its cover! Isn’t it the prettiest!

This is a typical grumpy x sunshine romance with spice and… a cat 🐈‍⬛!

Janie has escaped the hustle and bustle of NYC by taking over her aunts cafe in a cute little New England town called ‘Dream Harbour’ where everyone knows everyone. She meets the irresistible farmer, Logan. Janie disturbs his routine yet he can’t help but be drawn to her. If beard and plaid is your thing then this your man.

It’s a predictable yet sweet story. The characters are very likeable!

I did feel there was no plot, nothing seemed to happen in the grander scheme of things, just a little mystery at what is causing Janie disturbances at the cafe at night.

I’m clearly expecting death or something heartbreaking… maybe I just prefer horrors and thrillers.

Overall, would recommend for the Autumn season whilst you’re drinking a PSL in a cafe 🤭!

Let me start by saying that I am a major sucker for “girl moves to small town to run a family member’s business and finds her true place among friends and love interest” genres, and this did not disappoint!

The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is that perfect blend of small town charm with predictable (but oh so cozy) storyline. From start to finish, this novel wrapped around me like an extra chunky scarf and went down as smooth as a warm cup of tea (or perhaps chai latte, if you prefer).

I cannot wait to read more from this author. Thank you so much for such a pleasurable and enjoyable read!

Thank you to Netgalley and One More Chapter for an ARC of this novel in return for a honest review. A cosy grumpy x sunshine read set in a pleasant country town.

The cafe reminded me of Luke’s from Gilmore girls and Jeanie and Logan gave off Loralei and Luke vibes. Having lived in a small town most of my life the townsfolk were relatable characters.

A nice cosy romance read.

I really enjoyed this book it gave awesome fall vibes. I would definently recommend it if y0u are looking for a cozy fall read. The book was in third person which some readers do not enjoy but this author was able to pull it off and still make the book an easy read. This book gives us a cheesy romance but very adorable and includes spicey scenes!

This was a really warm and cheery read, I was grinning pretty much throughout. The grumpy/sunshine vibes were so good, and I totally loved the small town nosiness and the found family! And the grand gesture at the end was <333

Also bonus, some very cute animals 😭 aaand hints of ships to be featured in future books in this small town!

When her aunt bequeathed Jeanie her Pumpkin Spice Cafe, Jeanie moved to this small town determined to be the best owner of the town's only coffee shop, but weird things started to happen in the cafe, which worried Jeanie, and with the help of this hot lumberjack, they tried to figure out what happened.

It was such a fun, cute little read. The story is so light, but I don't really feel the chemistry between them because everything happened so fast. The insta-love and the miscommunication between them stress the hell out of me.

The plot feels messy and out of place, and with the trauma each of them has experienced in the past, I feel like they should get to know each other more.

But I love the cozy feeling this book gives me. I love the people in their small town. The people in the book club? I adore them, and I would love to join them.

This was cute and fluffy in all the right places. Think a little Fall-themed Hallmark movie, with traits of small town Stars Hollow.

I thought this one was just okay, I wasn’t overly impressed by it. If you dislike insta-love and the miscommunication trope, then I wouldn’t bother with it. But it got me in the mood for fall, and sometimes that’s all you need!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with this arc in exchange for my honest opinions!

Am I going to reread this book during fall? Yes, yes I am. This was so cute and cosy and everything I needed to get out of my fantasy reading streak. Give me all the romance !!

Meet Jeanie. She just moved to Dream Harbour from New York to take over her aunt’s café, the Pumpkin Spice café. But as she wishes to reinvent herself and her life here, weird things over weird things keep on happening at her new job. Convinced there is a ghost lurking around, one night she gets done the stairs, baseball club in hand almost decapitates Logan. The poor man was just delivering some pumpkins for the store but quickly gets untangled with Jeanie’s life.

It’s a novel that explores a lot of different themes, such as fitting in and finding your place, abandonment issues, and trauma. But it still manages to be the sweetest thing you will read this fall. The structure of the story is quite simple but it uses the codes of romance very well. The whole book is extremely entertaining and the story hooks you right from the start. I do not have anything point to improve in mind, as it was in its genre a very well written and narrated story!

If you like Grumpy x Sunshine, forced proximity and small-town romances, this one is for you!!

This was a very sweet, easy read.

I did feel like the 'mystery' aspect fell a bit flat and its not the sort of book that will keep you up late because you NEED to know what happens, but I did enjoy it.

*Thank you NetGalley and One More Chapter for the ARC.*

This was an autumn-themed book about a woman who was in love with a vet, and the vet who was in love with the woman - but they very much suffered from the Sally Rooney Syndrome (aka miscommunication).

If you like this trope then you’ll like the book. It’s set in New England, during autumn, very Gilmore Girls-ish.

It’s easy to read, cute, short - it just wasn’t for me sadly.

The Pumpkin Spice Café is a very addictive cozy romance.
I really enjoyed meeting Jeanie and Logan, who from the start have great chemistry.
It's the perfect book to read in the fall with a cup of coffee.

This was a sweet Hallmark type feel good book. I did enjoy the sorry and a little bit of mystery. It was pretty easy to figure out but I was curious to see how it would turn out.

This book is like holding a warm cup of coffee on a cold rainy day, like curling up with your dog while watching the leaves fall. It’s set in what is arguably my favourite season, fall and it has all the best features of autumn that make you want to live in this book!!

It’s got:
- Fall aesthetic
- Coffee shop
- Farm with pick your own apples/pumpkins
- Small town vibes
- Grumpy farmer who wears flannel
- Pumpkin Spice Lattes!!!

And so many other good things! I love how straightforward and dreamy (pun intended) this contemporary romance is. Jeanie and Logan had realistic anxieties when it came to starting their relationship in their small town and this book was extremely relatable. If you are a Gilmore Girl's fan, you will LOVE this book. It's got a town full of quirky characters, and Jeanie and Logan will remind you of Luke and Lorelai. I highly recommend reading this during the fall, and I will most definitely be picking up the next books set in this world.

A cozy, sweet romance that sets the mood for fall. It’s a great read while curling up in a blanket with a hot beverage (e.g. a pumpkin spice latte). It reminded me of Gilmore Girls. The main characters were kind of opposite in character, but made a great couple. Jeanie is on the path of self-discovery and uncertain to settle down. Logan is stuck in the past and afraid to commit to his heart. However, when they spend time together these feelings that hold them back start to gradually fade away and eventually they become brave enough to overcome their fears. The small town with its people is quite charming and the animals in the story are cute. Also, I hope Hazel and Annie get their own books in the future.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of the book.

Thank you to NetGalley, and Harper Collins UK - One More Chapter for the ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review.

What a great, cozy fall read🤎 I can appreciate a nice fluffy romance that is perfect for when you are in between those really heavy books.

In this book we meet MC Jeanie, and Mr Grump - Logan. It’s a great grump sunshine, insta-love type of story. Although, insta-love isn’t my total favourite, the story was written in a way that made this seem right for the characters. The ONLY reason why I didn’t give this one more stars was because of the miscommunication between the two MC. This is a totally subjective opinion, and I can fully acknowledge that if you like the miscommunication trope, then you will absolutely adore this book!

Other than that, this book was still a great read, and made me wish it were a little cooler out - and that the trees would go a little more colourful!

Thanks again for the ARC of The Pumpkin Spice Cafe!

The Pumpkin Cafe is a delightful little romance. Jeanie inherits the cafe from her aunt and finds herself enjoying it.
She meets Logan, a local who tends to shy away from other folks, but he finds himself fascinated.
I enjoyed the book and it was perfect with a cup of tea.

This book was so stinking cute. Laurie Gilmore is really living up to the Gilmore name, this book has given me every ounce of Stars Hallow I've missed since my last rewatch of Gilmore Girls. My hallmark-movie-loving soul drank this book up like I was stranded in the desert and had just found an oasis. I didn't know that an angsty lumper jack farmer is what I wanted but this book has so graciously opened my eyes to this dream of mine and has me craving fall like nothing else. Thank you Laurie Gilmore for writing this adorable, perfect, giggle worthy, small town romance. I want about 10000 more of them.

I really enjoyed this book. It's a cute, fast read. The romance is super sweet with some spice thrown in as well. I definately got strong Gilmore Girls meets Hallmark movie vibes while reading this. It's the perfect cosy, autumnal read paired with a pumpkin spice latte and cosy blanket, and even features a bit of mystery. If you enjoy grumpy/sunshine and she moves to the small town to find herself tropes than this is for you.
