This book was so cute and cozy. I was able to feel the small town vibes and the author did a great job of building this community and characters.
Two critiques - I do not like dual POV in third person, it can feel clunky. I had a hard time picturing the MMC and FMC, there could have been better description of them.
My rating is 4.5 stars rounded up.... a really fun, seasonal read.
Thank you for giving me the chance to read this cute story! I was waiting until it was officially pumpkin spice season to start it :) I wish it didn't begin by sharing the ending, but I really enjoyed it. It was a cute, fast read.
Thanks!
When Jeanie takes over the Pumpkin Spice Cafe from her aunty Dot she didn’t realise she would find love with Logan.
Oh I had heard such good reviews on this and it was recommended to me but I feel cheated! Marked as Grumpy/Sunshine it was more moody bugger and she was bit of sunshine through the clouds. That said this is my review and my thoughts, if you loved it then that’s great!
Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
* The Pumpkin Spice Café •
When Jeanie's aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Cafe in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job.
Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor's gossip at all costs. But Jeanie's arrival disrupts Logan's routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her.
Will Jeanie's happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won't fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes...
Oh how I loved this book! This was the cute and cosy perfect romance.
Jeanie takes over her Aunt's café and it's perfect timing, she is recovering from finding her boss dead at his desk, and not wanting to let the stress of work affect her the same way she throws herself into small town life. She's such a lovey, lively character, I really liked her.
The obvious attraction between her and local guy Logan is a great grumpy x sunshine trope and if you like a bit a spice there's plenty towards the end of the book!
Full of all sorts of characters and a cute small town setting this book really is any Gilmore Girls fan's dream read. The perfect Autumn read.
Cute, cosy and a little bit spicy!

This book is such a cosy cute small town romance, perfect for autumn season. It’s definitely one of those books that you can start and finish in one sitting. With just the right amount of spice, mystery, cuteness and seasonal vibes - I would definitely recommend adding to your TBR.
I recently finished the ARC for The Pumpkin Spice Café by Laurie Gilmore and I loved it!
If you love The Gilmore Girls and want a cozy, autumnal, grumpy X sunshine romance then this is the book for you.
I loved the flow and fast pace of this book, it was also laughter inducing in places and whilst it had a couple of spicy scenes there are only a couple which suited this book well.
I am definitely going to be picking up the next book in the series 🍁
I gave this book 4 out of 5⭐
I’m a bit behind on reviews… :) but this book was cute! And spicy! It’s the perfect read for your autumn afternoons or evenings, burning pumpkin candles and listening to the rain in the roof. The quality of writing was okay, it could’ve been a lot better. I found out today there’s going to be a sequel so buckle up because I will read that again!
A coffee shop called The Pumpkin Spice Cafe, a hot farmer who rescues animals, a cute cat named Casper, rescue goats that eat apple cider donuts, a smutty book club and a female MC that is genuinely lovable! This book was amazing and made you feel all the fall vibes. I seriously cannot wait for book 2 in the series to come out and I have been recommending this book to everyone!
This really is the perfect book to curl up with this autumn with its heartwarming blend of romance and humour. I laughed a lot reading this book and it really lifted my mood. I gave myself a full quiet Saturday to myself to enjoy it and it was the best thing ever.
There was a little bit of mystery for added drama but nothing too serious and it provided a legitimate reason for Jeanie and Logan to spend time together. Both of these characters were likable and their interactions were adorably cute and funny. They complemented each other well.
The small-town community was very relatable with everyone knowing each other's business but generally friendly and looking out for one another. I'm looking forward to Hazel's story next.
I loved this book so much that I'm going to buy the print version for my bookshelf.
Jeanie's aunt gifts her the Pumpkin Spice Café, located in the small town of Dream Harbour, which she jumps at the change for a fresh start. Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbour’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine, who he wants nothing to do with but finds himself drawn to her.
This book was a cute conclusion to the first book in the series. I’m interested to see how the rest of the series will progress and whether it’ll feature more of the small town and characters. Although I do think that all of the characters are all surface level. I feel like we don’t know them very well. There is a lot of them which is hard to keep up with who is who. I wish it focused on less characters and getting to know them more, rather than having a lot of characters and not focusing on them a lot. Unless we will get to know them more as the series continues. I like the small town setting and grumpy x sunshine vibes but wasn’t a fan of the miscommunication as it was so unnecessary, plus the second chance romance didn’t need to happen when all they had to do was talk and it would have solved everything.

Thank you to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this book!
Thank you net galley for this cute read. This was a very hallmark type book perfect for fall . I loved their town and the book club . It also had a little mystery to it so it was fun and enjoyable . It did feel a little rushed at the end and had quite a bit of spice but I enjoyed the book and most of the characters .
The Pumpkin Spice Café - Laurie Gilmore
⭐⭐⭐⭐
Just when Jeanie feels like she needs a break from her life after an incident at work, she inherits The Pumpkin Spice Café from her aunt Dot.
Jeanie soon meets Logan and falls for the sexy farmer instantly. Unfortunately running the café is not all sunshine and rainbows and turns into a bit of a mystery as well as a romantic escape.
This book has a really wholesome Gilmore Girls, autumnal, PSL vibe. I really enjoyed reading this and was perfect to get me in the seasonal mood.
I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a seasonal romance to get them in the autumn spirit. 🎃
The title and the cover was enough to catch my attention!!! I really enjoyed this book as it was very cozy and to my surprise, a little spice!! This is the perfect read for fall season. Highly reccomend!
3.5/5 stars!!
after reading the pumpkin spice cafe, i can confirm that no other book screams fall/autumn more than this book. i absolutely adored the vibe of this book. reading it felt like enjoying a warm cup of tea, all cuddled up with a blanket, with a scented candle burning beside me.
the plot was simple but it kept me entertained throughout the whole book. this book is perfect for those who are looking for a lighthearted read!! it’s easy to follow and you’ll get really absorbed into the world whilst reading it. although i wished the author delved a little deeper into the mystery aspect of the book. the plot twist/big reveal definitely felt flat.
now for the romance aspect of the book… it was very adorable and cheesy at times (in a good way) but i thought the pacing felt a little too fast. the relationship buildup was done with all possible haste. i couldn’t quite place exactly when the main characters, jeanie and logan, fell for each other because they seemed to be in love from the very first chapter. i think i would’ve like this book more if i got to see the relationship development.
nonetheless, if you’re looking for an easy read with a similar vibe to gilmore girls, or maybe you just like fall-themed books… then you might want to give this one a try!
thank you netgalley and laurie gilmore for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review!!

Amazing book! Loved it! the characters are so relatable! Thank you so much for this gem. I have gone on to purchase the other books in this series!
What a perfect fall book! This story had the perfect mix of delectable baked goods and drinks, a homey small-town setting and the perfect amount of spice for the fall-themed romance!
Last week I read The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore and really enjoyed it! It's pegged as grumpy x sunshine but I don't think Jeanie was as much a sunshine character - she was more a fish out of water anxious person 😬.
Either way though, PSC brought all the fall vibes - Logan in a flannel shirt, a fall festival, a coffee shop - definite small town coutry, little bit cultish and there was a smutty book club. If you want something to get you in the autumn mood, I'd definitely recommend. I've just seen this book has a #1 next to it so now I'm looking forward to the follow up.
Pumpkin Spice Cafe is a quick read - less than 300 pages and it's cosy and sweet. Not overly dramatised with a little mystery rolled in and a touch of spice (could defo have more!). I think some readers will be disappointed with the lack of drama but it was just right for me for an early autumn read.
Ok, you couldn’t pick a more perfect Fall read! The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is funny, relatable and full of romance and some mystery! I really enjoyed this one!
