I loved this book. It's a beautiful look at going out in the world and searching more something more.
I loved that bear found the place he belongs is a library with books galore.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
A beautifully illustrated book about a bear on a journey to see something new.
The thing I am left enamored most by this book are the illustrations. They were stunning! I found myself not wanting to turn the page because I was busy absorbing each and every piece of artwork this story had to offer.
I found the story itself an easy read and felt it had a cute journey to follow. I would have liked to see a stronger commitment to the rhyming scheme and a bit more detailed ending, as it felt unclear and abrupt, but overall it was an easy and beautiful read about finding your place that I’d be happy to share with young ones.
Thanks NetGalley for an ARC of this book.
"The Bear and Her Book" story follows a bear who loves to read books and learn new things. The bear is portrayed as a positive and helpful character who explores the outside world to support her fellow beings.
The story teaches several important values, including the importance of helping others, finding reliable solutions to problems, having a thirst for knowledge, and never stop learning. The bear is a relatable and engaging character, brought to life through expressive and colorful illustrations.
The author narrates the story in the third person, allowing readers to travel with the bear and experience the adventures she undergoes. Through the bear's journey, readers will not only learn how animals help each other, but they will also see the world from an animal's unique perspective.
Overall, "The Bear and Her Book" is a well-written and beautifully illustrated children's book that teaches important values in an engaging and relatable way. It's a book that children will enjoy reading and learning from, and it's a great way to introduce them to the idea that all beings on earth have unique experiences and perspectives.

I loved that this book showed how much you can learn and see from books and then use your knowledge to help others. The adorable illustrations added to this sweet story.
Thank you, Netgalley and North Star Editions, for the ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
The illustrations were darling and I loved the story, I just wish that in certain spots they would continue the rhyming. Having it abruptly stop doesn’t help the flow of the book.
This was such a sweet book about friendship, going new places, and finding where you are comfortable!
A bear sets off with her "Bear's Big Book of Being Wise," and meets friends in different climates along the way. The bear helps the new friends she makes, but realizes there's more out there in the world to explore. She keeps heading to new places until in the end she finds a cozy place she wants to stay.
Not a fully rhyming book, but very cute, though a few sentences get a bit jumbled when reading aloud.
The illustrations are gentle, endearing, and adorable, and Bear is adorable!
Overall a great read that shows a love of books, friends, and being brave enough to go to new places.
