This was a very moving story about the early days of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawaii. This story is about George Q. Cannon and Hawaiian native Jonathan Hawaii Napela. This is a beautiful look at the people of Hawaii and the also beautiful friendship between Goerge and Jonathan. This novel shows the many trials that went on in those early days but despite the trials, many miracles took place. This well-researched book by Gale Sears was written with so much heart.
