This story focuses on Clara, the middle sister. We are one again transported back to Port Promise. Clara is excited to marry her longtime boyfriend Loga. But when he buys a London and expects her to move there, Clara has to think about what SHE truly wants. I enjoyed this story slightly more than the first. I think the father’s death in the first book was a little bit of a downer for me.

These were my first books by this author, but they won’t be my last! Many thanks to the author, Bookouture and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of the book. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

This second book in the Lifeboat Sisters series by Tilly Tennant focuses on Clara Morrow who is busy planning her upcoming wedding to Logan, until it seems that they may want different things for the future. Perhaps it is a chance for Clara to start over. Enjoy this return to lovely Port Promise and catch up with the Morrow family.

We return to Port Promise for book 2 in Tilly Tennant latest series, Second Chances for the Lifeboat Sisters and this time the focus is on Clara, the middle sister. Clara is planning her wedding to Logan while dreaming of becoming a chef but things go up in the air when Logan inherits a London home and wants them to move there. Throw in Cormac, Clara's boss and there's a lot for her to think about - is really better off with Cormac or Logan?

The characters in both books have been so relatable and easy to know. I'm their new best friend they've yet to meet! The setting is glorious. Loved it

This book is second in the series and is the story of Clara Morrow. She longs to be a chef and dreams of opening her own place. She is planning her wedding to Logan.. Logan’s grandma isn’t doing well and he gets excited that he might inherit her house and be able to leave Port Promise. He hates living there and being in a small town and all the traditions.

Clara goes to visit Logan’s family and realizes that she hates it there and doesn’t want to leave Port Promise. She finally realizes what makes her happy and decides to be honest with her family and Logan.

Cormac is just so charming and kind it seems to take Clara forever to realize they are better suited together as they listen and support each other..Cormac has a big heart and is always giving to others and the fact that he injures himself saving a child makes him perfect father material.

The second in a series although it could stand alone.
This is the story of a Lifeboat sister and her ties to her home in Port Morrow.
Clara's fiance lives with her in the idyllic village in Cornwall but the pressure is on them to go to the big city.
This is Clara's journey to find what she really wants.

Port Promise seems lovely. Clara thinks it is- and her family does too. But Logan, her artist fiance, isn't happy and wants to move back to London. Should she go? Well, for one thing, there's also Cormac, who she works with. Fans of the genre know that Logan (and his mother) are not right for Clara who has a big heart and an open mind, But is Cormac? Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. I enjoyed the first book and this one as well- and know that this will be fine as a standalone.

I adore Tilly Tennant’s writing, so was really excited to find a new series of books by her.
So far, this is a two book series; I am unaware if there are any further books in planned, but she often writes in twos, soI wouldn’t be surprised if this series was also a two.
To use a sea analogy, I plunged straight into the series & didn’t come up for air until I’d finished both books. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story, set in an idyllic sounding seaside town populated with interesting & fully-formed characters. I do feel that Ava’s story in the first book was more interesting than her sister’s in this second and I found myself becoming frustrated with Clara at times as her story progressed. However, both are lovely books, filled with touching storylines & the importance of family, friends & those we love, and following the path to happiness & fulfilment, even when there are many obstacles to overcome.
A wonderful feel-good book, perfect summer reading.

This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone, however, I would suggest reading the first one because (a) it is a great book and (b) you get a much fuller reading experience.

We met Ava, Clara's sister, in the first book. This one is all about Clara and her life with her fiance, Logan. Logan is a moody artist and that is all good and well in the beginning, but it is clear that he is not exactly enjoying life in the tiny town of Port Promise. Clara is torn between a possible life in London and her life with her family in Cornwall. It doesn't make things easier to know that her mother-in-law-to-be barely tolerates her.

Cormac is a handsome Irishman who is running a shack which is doing so well, he needs a hand. Since Clara has the time and has been trained as a chef, she offers to help, which brings out the green-eyed monster in Logan. He doesn't have anything to worry about though because Betty, Clara's best friend, is quite smitten with Cormac and things might just be about to heat up, there.

It has to be said that Port Promise sounds very idyllic to me, but then again, I have never been much of a city person. I love the descriptions of village life and the various rituals that they have. It feels like a very inclusive place.

A great book and I have to admit that with the ending as it was, I really want to read the next book in the series!

4.5 stars from me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture.

It was great being back with the Morrow sisters. We met Clara in the first book when her sister got her happy ever after with Harry. Now Clara gets a turn. She’s engaged to Logan and plodding along but not everything is plain sailing. I really enjoyed this, Clara was very relatable and I could identify with her wanting to sacrifice her own happiness in order to make others happy. Logan just doesn’t get her, he doesn’t see her for who she really is and it takes an accident at home for her to realise she has to put herself first. Cormac is perfect for Clara, his heart is as big as hers and he sees her true soul. His feelings are so obvious for her, yet he tries really hard to step back as be respectful as she’s unavailable. That moment when he says he just has to tell her and he knows her little secret too and it doesn’t change anything was so beautiful. Great from start to finish.

Having loved the previous book in this series I couldn’t wait to start this one. Such fabulous characters and storyline and love how this series brings our attention to the importance of the RNLI and what a fabulous job they do.

This could be read as a standalone but recommend reading the life boat sisters first for the full experience. It was great to be back in port promise and this instalment focused on the characters of Claire and Logan and the telling of their story. This as a heartwarming and at times heartbreaking read and a story of family friends community and how everything seems better when everyone pulls together to help and what can be achieved. I love how this author writes about relatable issues and gets to the heart of the matter in immersive and engaging stories that are so much more than just romantic reads.

I am looking forward to the next book in this series and to read more about the characters and their lives in port promise.

Another enjoyable book in this series. This is Claire's story, and her struggle to make a life changing decision.
I love the characters and setting of this series. While I liked the first book better, this was still a great read. Recommend to all who love a happy ending.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Sweet book telling the story of Clara who is planning her wedding to artist Logan on the Cornish Coast. I felt it was a little slow and the inevitable was going to happen, Logan just wasn't likable and the second contender, Cormac the hottie restaurant owner was always going to win (spoiler sorry).

Loved the descriptions and names.

I dived into this book straight after finishing Book 1, The Lifeboat Sisters, which will be published on the same day.
I'm so glad I could continue straight on with life in Port Promise, a small Cornish fishing village. It just seems like a perfect place to live.
The main storyline is Clara, the middle Morrow sister, and her fiance Logan.
We still get to follow the rest of the residents in the village, I especially liked Cormac.
Such a heartwarming book, I love the sense of community and family relationships.
I loved everything about this book. Fabulous!
Can be read as a standalone too.
Many thanks to Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read a review copy, I give my honest opinion.

Another really lovely book from Tilly. Tilly just has a way of writing where you instantly connect with the characters and get drawn into the storyline and feel like you are a part of the journey. This book is no exceptions, with a wonderful feel good storyline, about friendship, finding yourself and about love for yourself, love for friends as well as romantic love. Perfect for summer holidays.

A series but this read fine on it's own. I've not read the others and may have enjoyed it more if I had, but it was sort of more breakup than romance in all. Still a fine story.

I loved the descriptions of scenery in this book. A beautiful, heartbreaking read about love, life and starting again, It is a well written novel, with punchy dialogue that rings true, and the descriptive writing brings the scenes to life.A book that stands out from the crowd. The characters and the setting are written exceptionally well.

I found this book a little slow to start with but once I was a few chapters in I was hooked. The story is based on Clara and her relationship with fiancé Logan in Port Promise and is a sequel to The Lifeboat Sisters although can be read as a stand alone book.I loved the setting of the story and Clara’s character, even though toward the end I was willing Clara to make the correct decision and say a few home truths. I can’t wait for the next instalment of the Lifeboat Sisters and would recommend this as a feel good summer read.
Thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture and Tilly Tennant for an advanced copy in exchange for an unbiased and honest review.
