Fantastic debut! Loved this book and couldn’t put it down. I had so many different theories but I was very wrong. I finished this in a little over a day. Very engaging and and it kept me reading and guessing until the end.

What an incredible ride this book took me on! Sooo many times I thought I'd figured out the twists but was floored to find out I was wrong.!

It's hars to believe that this is a debut novel because the writing is incredible and I couldn't put it down.

If I could give this book 10 🌟 , I would! 2 words - HOLY CRAP!!!!! I was hooked from the first line. Not many books do that for me. This had so many twists and turns that I didn't know if I was coming or going, but the story line wasn't so in depth that I got lost or confused. It was like being underwater and swimming for the surface. Just when you're almost there, ready to take a breath, something comes from behind and pulls you back down. I had this book figured out 15 different times. They were all the killer. Until they weren't. But were they? Subtle hints throughout the chapters came in and took turns knocking me off my feet in the closing lines. And then, as I sit reeling after finally finishing, thinking I can breathe and trying to process what had just happened, it hits me - could this story be somewhat true?! Could this...battle...be taking place between the author and another extremely well-known writer of the same genre?! Mark - there's NO WAY this is your first book! Absolutely no way. But MAN, you KILLED IT!!!!!!!! Watch out, TikTok - here's your new viral author!!!!!

A decent, twisty thriller. Didn't blow me away like some other reviewers here, but an enjoyable story nonetheless.

Holy moly, wow!!! I genuinely want to say I have NEVER read anything like this. I highly recommend this book. I am blown away, speechless really. The story line is so intriguing and truly kept me on my toes. This book had me glued to my kindle, I could not stop. I am going to need a physical copy of this book because I think it just got bumped into my top 5 favorite books of all time. I really enjoyed how different it was from the other popular mystery and thriller books out there right now, I am craving more like this now! Mark truly crushed it with this book - do yourself a favor and read this book when you can!

Well that was definitely different! I don't think I've read anything like it?! It was a great book! It had suspense, intrigue, murder, abuse, greed, and some really crazy crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and had me glued to my Kindle! I highly recommend reading this book! It was well worth reading! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! It was definitely different that's for sure! Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
