Unfortunately, I just could not get into this one. It was nice and sweet and I was bored. Maybe I will try it again on audio

This is the third in series but can be read as a standalone. However, I do recommend reading this last if you do not wish to be spoiled about the endings of the previous books. This book stars Kincaid and Lianna.

I have recently been going through my own journey when it comes through love so it was interesting to read about something going through the same things as me. Loved it and couldn't put it down. Would recommend to a friend.

From Bitter to Sweet is part of a series but can be read easily as a standalone, the characters from the previous books appear but do not really feature. I didnt love this one but it was an easy quick read. The characters were ok, Lianna and Kincaid have been hurt before and are nervous about falling in love again. But for two people who were nervous and cautious, it was still an insta-love type story with one complication. There were time jumps that confused me a little, they werent long but they were weeks at a time and it came out of nowhere.

I didn’t believe some of the drama that flowed through the book. It seemed unrealistic to a point where I just rolled my eyes. The story was fine but a lot of the plot points were not great. The third act break up basically centering around the male main character being drunk was not my favorite.

This book is short but carries a lot of heart. Every time Kincaid called Lianna love I just melted, the best nickname ever! Though the ending felt a bit rushed, I'm definitely reading this one again!

I thought the premise of this book was interesting but I ended up not liking the execution. Jut not for me.

From Bitter to Sweet has all the components of a great love story, I binge read this book and I loved every moment. The dual perspective was definitely one of my favourite aspects and Sheridan Jean encapsulates the cute friends to lovers relationship perfectly.

This story touches on some sensitive topics like betrayal, cheating and infertility and the author tackles them head on and shows how both FMC and MMC understand and heal together. Other gritty topics also include gaslighting and emotional abuse but again these subjects are handled with care and I really appreciated the epilogue at the end as well.

All in all, this is one of the most realistic and endearing romantic stories I have read in a while and I thoroughly recommend this to all romance enthusiasts.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC.

4 stars rounded up from 3.75

Overall, this was a cute fun read! It does deal with some issues such as cheating, infertility, and lying, but all of these issues shed light into why the main characters, Lianna and Kincaid, are they way they are and why the react in certain ways throughout the book. I loved the development of the relationship between Lianna and Kincaid! There were plenty of twists and turns in this one to keep it going.

Small town romance with plenty of spice. I really enjoyed this best friend’s brother romance. After a terrible divorce Lianna is definitely cautious and Kincaid’s also had his share of drama so their path to their HEA isn’t necessarily a smooth one.

I liked the whole cast of characters, the great dialogue and the chemistry between the two main characters.

I didn't hate this one. But I also didn't love it. To me the heroine was just un likeable. But I did like the hero.

Recently divorced Lianna hires Kincaide, whom she’s known since childhood to do some home remodeling. The storyline was lighthearted and the plot was solid. The character development was done so well that I found myself really rooting for them. This is the third in a series and I loved the sprinkling of previous characters popping back in for updates.

Special thanks to Netgalley and Author Sheridan Jeane for yet another amazing, feel good novel.

I think From Bitter to Sweet by Sheridan Jeane is the perfect book to read when you don't want to put a lot of (or any) thought on the actual words that are on the page. Say you want to read a romance that introduces the love interest in the very first sentence because you actually get to read about him before the main character is even introduced. Say you want to be told repeatedly how said main character and said love interest used to have a crush on each other when they were in high school but never said anything until they meet again because the love interest's sister convinces the main character to hire the love interest to work on her house. Oh, you do want that? Okay, well, then you have From Bitter to Sweet, although I probably described the plot of like ten thousand other romance books out there. It wasn't worth my time and/or braincells.

The third book in this series. Lianna is recently divorced and hires Kincaid to work on her new house. They both have been hurt by past relationships so will this drive them apart?
Looking forward to more books from this author.

This story had very mature characters who were responsible adults. They actually owned up to their mistakes and faults. No crazy drama or anything, just good old-fashioned communication and genuine apologies. Their relationship was so healthy, and I loved that.

I liked Lianna, and I felt bad for everything she went through with her ex-husband. She deserved all the love. Kincaid is also an upstanding guy, and they make the perfect match. I feel like they both helped each other heal in subtle ways. And Kincaid made a built-in closet for Lianna. How sweet is that? Major brownie points there.

These two people who genuinely cared for each other and wanted to make things work. And they did it the right way, with open and honest communication.

Another thing I loved about the story was that the author mentioned that these characters, Lianna and Kincaid, were based on real-life stories. It made the whole book even more special to me.

From Bitter To Sweet was one sweet story. Sure, there were a few chapters that felt a bit filler-ish. But overall, it was such a delightful and heartwarming story.

I am so sad this is the final book in this series, I’ve loved getting to know these characters and their journeys to finding love and happiness . I loved the storyline in this story 2 people hurt by past relationships come together and learn to fall in love again with a few bumps along the way . One lied to about a pregnancy the other finding out her spouse was a cheater. It’s a sweet story , a quick read and perfect for summer reading

I love Kincaid and Lianna. They are both scarred characters who manage to find love with each other. I found them entertaining, captivating, relatable and strong. They sucked me in from the start and held my attention until the very end. I love that despite their various histories these characters were willing to put themselves out there for the right person. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and provided many humours moments. I love that we get to see the friend and family relationships again in this book. I especially love that we got to see my favourite couple of the series Ford and Mara (from the first book). There was one story thread that I wish we had gotten more of.
