A cute funny romance very swoon worthy great characters and great writing. The netgalley for the free read.
I felt that this book was sweet. The relationship between the characters was nice. However there were bits I didn't think needed to be in there and there were bits that also seemed a bit rushed.
Lianna and Kincaid both have trust issues from previous relationships that have made them hesitant to pursue anything new.
There were things I absolutely loved about this story and some things that fell a little short for me. The amount of time it took the character’s to start dating was refreshing - we got to see a longer, mostly healthy relationship throughout the duration of the book. However, it made the end feel very rushed and quite honestly, a little abrupt.
I loved the character development of the main characters, but felt like the supporting characters were a little wild and all over the place and it was a little bit distracting.
Overall I thought this was a cute, fun read and would recommend it - especially for a summer beach read!
From Bitter to Sweet, which is both bitter and sweet at times, is a wonderful romantic comedy starring two people who have been hurt badly before. While this book touches on many depressing issues, such as lying, infidelity, and infertility, there is enough lightness and laughs to balance the more serious topics. This book, which is third in a trilogy, truly works as a stand-alone novel. I also enjoyed how to author included a note with her personal experiences with the issues covered in the novel.
I received this book free from NetGalley in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion.
This was so cute!!! I absolutely loved this!! This is a romance that you just need to read. It was absolutely perfect for me!! I need to go and read the previous 2 books in this series and I can't wait!!
I just reviewed From Bitter to Sweet by Sheridan Jeane. #FromBittertoSweet #NetGalley

With a couple of plot twists, From Bitter to Sweet by Sheridan Jeane tells a story about two people who have trust issues due to their previous relationships falling in love with each other. The book touches on the topics of infertility and trust.
Summary: After her divorce, Lianna Alverson gets a brand new house and focuses on her career. She hires Kincaid Gillette, whom she met in high school, to help build her house and reconnects with him. They are instantly attracted to one another.
Tropes/Genres:
• best friend's brother
• instant attraction
• small town (Sewickley!)
• contemporary romance
• talks about infertility
• a lot of spicy scenes
• food (anyone fancy some tiramisu?)
Review: This book had so many twists and turns. I DID NOT SEE ANYTHING COMING. And I’m usually very good at seeing things coming. My mind is blown.
Lianna and Kincaid are so cute. Kincaid is such a green flag. He's such a green flag that whatever conflict I had expected them to have didn't happen. He's so supportive and always thinks about Lianna and her feelings instead of his own (within reason). Both have trust issues due to their traumatic past relationships (one has a cheating ex-husband, and the other has a lying ex-fianceé), but they try their best not to view each other through the lens of their exes. Isn't that just so mature?
In a way, this story is realistic because it talks about very real topics: infertility, trust in relationships, gaslighting, etc. But the book also handles such heavy topics in a gentle way, balancing them out with sweet (and sexy) moments that fill readers' hearts.
The characters, particularly those we may not agree with, are three-dimensional, and I know such people do exist in this world... sadly. It's interesting to see how the bad guys in the book actually have good sides as well. And even the good guys in the book can say mean things that they don't mean. I'm glad that the main characters have such a good support system.
I recommend this book to readers who like to read light-hearted books with heavy topics and a couple of twists and turns. This is the third book of a series of interconnected stand-alone books. While you can read each book as a stand-alone, I think it's better to read the books in chronological order, so do read Slow Simmer and Here's the Scoop first before reading this book!
Thank you, NetGalley, for the read.
I received a copy of From Bitter To Sweet by Sheridan Jane from Net Galley for an honest review. This is a contemporary romance. Both main characters, Lianna and Kincaid, have had broken trust in previous relationships. But they fall hard and fast. I thought the middle was too "meaty". It was longer than it should have been, and it dragged. 3 ⭐️
Thank you, Flowers and Fullerton and NetGalley, for the advanced copy of From Bitter to Sweet.
From Bitter to Sweet rounds out the Coming Home trilogy, and it did not disappoint. All of the books in the trilogy can be read as stand-alones, but read all of them. You'll really enjoy them. You'll find the characters in the other books as well. This just made me smile all the way through. Every woman deserves her own Kincaid Gillete.
Liana's in the process of remodeling her new house after the divorce of her cheating husband. She hires Kincaid Gillette, owner of Gillette Construction, after he impresses her at the estimate meeting by recommending adding an upstairs closet as well as the addition to her downstairs for minimal increases in cost. As construction begins, she finds herself falling for Kincaid. After Liana is laid off due to her company filing bankruptcy, Liana decides to throw her energy into her job. And why shouldn't she? She's a single woman who has been diagnosed as infertile so why not focus on making her career the best it can be? But when the condom breaks and surprises the couple with a pregnancy. will the two be able to overcome the curve ball thrown their way?
Such a lighthearted and fun romantic comedy! Lianna's fresh start leads her to Kincaid, the owner of a construction company that Lianna found while working on remodeling her home. Lianna and Kincaid actually knew each other in high school and Kincaid is quick to make innuendos that make Lianna speechless. They both decide to take a chance on each other and on love. Sheridan Jeane makes you feel like you personally know her characters, which is part of why I rated this book so highly. I loved all the fun and flirty parts of this book. This was such an easy read that I devoured in only a couple of sittings. I hope others enjoy this book as much as I did!
From Bitter to Sweet by Sheridan Jeane is a heartwarming and charming romantic comedy that follows Lianna as she navigates the ups and downs of life after catching her husband cheating.
Although it would have been beneficial to read the first two books in the series before diving into From Bitter to Sweet, the novel still stands well on its own. The characters are relatable, and the plot is engaging, with unexpected twists and turns that keep readers on their toes. Overall, From Bitter to Sweet is a delightful and heartwarming read that is perfect for fans of romantic comedies. I would give it four stars.
Book boyfriend - check, cute funny moments - check, love story you wish would happen to you - check. Romantic comedy perfection - check check! Kincaid is the dreamy man that you know will listen to your problems and hold your hand through the tough times. Now my standards are even higher!
Such a good read. Two very battered individuals trying to navigate their future together whilst their exes, and exes new partners make life so difficult for them. A good group of friends and family strengthen the reading of this book and chocolate recipes never hurt either.
First, thank you NetGalley, the author and publisher for providing me a copy in exchange of my honest review.
This book is a 4 star for me. It was sweet, lighthearted, flirty and so cute. For me is one of those books that makes you feel happy; I love the communication that both MC’s have since the beginning and how their attraction grow into love, also I love how supportive they were from each other. It was an easy read, a palate cleanser and so many good feelings. I read it in one sitting and I just was relaxed and enjoying the story.
I wanted to love it, because i really thought Lianna would have had an interesting angle after reading Slow Simmer...but it just didn't click for me.
Their love story was constant whiplash. They move super quickly into a relationship - like a full on relationship- what happened to just dating for a bit?
Then Kincaid is all amaaazing and the perfect boyfriend and the greatest thing everrrrr. Sure. Then Lianna catches him after a bad day, when he's in a stroppy mood and drunk and seeing all this she still dumps major news on him. He naturally flips out and she's all like who is this and what has happened to my sweet doscile Kincaid, what is my life, what be happening, I can't even.
Like lady, that's life! Sometimes people are in bad moods, the guy ain't always going to be there cooking your meals and making sweet love to you. This is a grown up relationship, like chill out and deal with it.
I dont know. I feel like they just rushed this love story. Maybe they could have had had it so that the two of them were pining for awhile and then got together. But nope. Whiplash, I tell you.
Still, it was nice visiting this town and these characters again and I do think I'd read any future instalment. But give me some slow burn next time!
Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC! You guys are the real deal. All views are my own.
This is the 3rd book of Coming Home series, it can be read as stand alone. I read the previous book (Slow Simmer and Here's The Scoop) and this series was good. Lianna and Kincaid relationship move too soon. First there is happiness, solid, drama hit Kincaid can handle it able to compromise. Then his ex give problems, Lianna give unexpect news, finally he can handle it and let his fear talk. That happend when something move too fast. I give Lianna applause, she not get trigger by angry, she able to see different perspective.
Thank you to NetGalley for provide this book, it is pleasure to review this book.

This interconnected standalone will have you wanting to read all books by Sheridan Jeane
The book is about learning to trust after you’ve been betrayed in a relationship and I think it was done really well!
I really enjoyed this book! The spice scenes were a little awkward but it definitely wasn’t a deal breaker! The book was fast paced and fun and I would easily recommend this book to any romance lover!
This is the third in series but can be read as a standalone. However, I do recommend reading this last if you do not wish to be spoiled about the endings of the previous books. This book stars Kincaid and Lianna.
I won’t go too much into the background, since most folks will know Lianna and Kincaid already. Lianna is a project manager and attends the book club we all know and love. Kincaid is a contractor who attends Dante’s cooking classes. He is also Connor and a Courtney’s brother. They officially meet when Lianna hired Kincaid to build an addition into her home. These two made for very strong main characters. Although their stories seem far fetched, they are technically plausible.
I very much enjoyed watching these two grow, adapt, thrive, and fall in love. I was thrilled to see old friends and meet some new ones. And I highly recommend if you want a rom con that deals with some heavier topics but also has some fun and lighthearted scenes. Case in point …Courtney the matchmaker was amazing. Also, a certain cat was spectacular.
I know this is a trilogy but I kinda really definitely want a book starring Connor and another starring Sin. Maybe a Sin and Courtney connection? Oh and Dante! Please and thank you.
TW: Infertility, cheating exes, gaslighting
Thanks to NetGalley and Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for an arc of this book.
Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC copy of this book to read and review. All of these thoughts and comments are my own.
This is a romance novel about learning to trust again after you’ve been betrayed. Kincaid and Lianna have both recently got out of a bad relationship and marriage. They both now have trust issues and aren’t sure if they will ever find someone to be with again. They have known each other for a while so when Kincaid starts renovating Lianna’s house, sparks start flying. Will they be able to look past their past trauma and start an amazing relationship or will the past drag them back down?
This was a fun read. It was super fast pace and enjoyable. It also was a bit spicy. Some of the words used were a bit weird but all in all it wasn’t bad for smut. I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. So, if you like romance then I’d definitely check this out.
4 stars.
They knew each other in high school but did not keep in touch, then Lianna and Kincaid reconnected years later when he ended up working on an addition to her new house. With the encouragement of her friend (his sister!), they decided to get to know each other better and go on a couple dates. Both were both burned by previous relationships, but were honest with each other about their trust issues. Those issues obviously come into play later in the book.
This is the third book in a series, although I don’t think it’s necessary to read the others first. Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for From Bitter to Sweet to come out June 5, 2023.
Loved this lighthearted, fun and flirty romantic comedy! I feel like I know these characters from the detailed descriptions given by Sheridan Jeane ( author). Lianna, recently divorced, has moved on and is trying to find her way while putting the past behind her. A new beginning in an older home leads her to Kincaid, the owner of Gillette Construction as she seeks out someone to do an add-on in her home. Kincaid happens to be someone she knew from high school and is quickly reminiscing their history. Their relationship quickly develops with the help of Kincaid sister, Courtney. Kincaid is handsome, charming and quick with innuendos leaving Lianna breathless! Despite both of their histories and lack of trust, they take a chance on love. Filled with surprises, a few lies and hope for love , “ From Bitter to Sweet” is a heartwarming easy joyful read.
I gave this book 5 stars for its lighthearted, fun, yet intriguing storyline. I read it in one day. I appreciated how the chapters connected and the topic jumped right to the next important part. Sheridan gave such detail by describing the moment , movements and expression leaving the reader without question what it was really like. This is the first book I’ve read that included animals and I loved it ! They are a part of our lives and it was so appropriate to include them! I also thought the title was so poignant and you’ll see why. To be published June 5th, 2023!
Thansk NetGalley and Sheridan Jeane for this ARC, appreciate it so much!
