A good read witn an unpredictable plot. The ending was a bit abrupt after a lot of build up and suspense but that was my only minor gripe. It was a great read on the whole.

This was an interesting book however I don’t think gut wrenching fits the narrative. The story came to a very abrupt ending, leaving you feeling let down. I wouldn’t recommend sadly

What a physcological thriller! I did not see that one coming at all. I didn't know who to trust and I was literally knocked from my perch....

Eloise discovers her husband, Jared, has cheated on her and has a 3-year-old son with another woman, Tina. She will not ask for a divorce because she will lose everything with her prenup, so she starts to plot revenge. Eloise is a real estate agent and comes up with a “program” to help low-income individuals buy houses. She hires her cousin Ricky to move into the apartment Tine is currently living in to keep an eye on her. Tina is uncomfortable with Ricky living in the same vicinity as her and her son. She then discovers the program Eloise is offering. Eloise then helps Tina move into a house across from her and Jared. Eloise did not expect Ricky to develop a dangerous obsession towards Tina.
This is a page turning suspense having you guess how it is going to end.

Eloise has a plan. She is married to Jared and has signed a prenuptial agreement that if they get divorced she won’t get anything. So when her cousin Ricky informs her that Jared has been having an affair with Tina and that she has a son, she is incensed. That’s when she plots her revenge. She decides, will Ricky’s help, that they will befriend Tina and she will murder Jared and frame Tina for his murder. That way she will get all Jared’s money. But Louise hasn’t gambled on how Ricky will handle it. Ricky is very unstable and before long we can see how obsessed he becomes with Tina and decides to have a plan of his own. This book has a well written storyline and plot, with lots of suspense and twists and turns. An enjoyable read.

Thank you to the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a review.

Ooh, you have to love a good "wife found out, now husband's gonna get it" thriller. Eloise has recently discovered her husband Jared had an affair AND fathered a child with his mistress. Double whammy! Eloise isn't about to put herself out and divorce her husband; his murder would suit her better. Even better, frame the mistress! Of course, things never turn out that simply, as Eloise is destined to learn. I really enjoyed this quick-read thriller and was dying (no pun intended!) to find out what happens in the end! This was a fun read!

A must read for thriller fans. Well worth reading. The story has provocative characters with a great plot.

I thought the premise was somewhat unique, however the plot just became really convoluted and lacked organization. The wife decides that she is going to bring her insane cousin in on a plan to get even with her husband and trusts that he will follow through. I did not get this at all, especially after her cousin was introduced. There needed to be more build up about what the actual plan was and what the expectations were. This would have built the plot and hopefully helped create some depth in the characters. I would have really liked to see things from the husband's perspective. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

The book had everything that you are looking for in a psychological thriller. A wife seeking revenge and a cheating husband. The author knows how to build suspense and to create an unpredictable twist. I kept turning the pages, trying to see how it will end. A fantastic read

This was my first Emily Shiner book and I really enjoyed it! I felt like the story was paced really well, and I couldn’t put it down at times because there was a cliffhanger from one of the character’s viewpoints and I had to find out what was going to happen next. I liked that the story was told from multiple POVs and that it kept me interested from start to finish.

This story of a scorned woman is a gripping thriller. Although I found it slow to start, it picked up pace and I couldn't put it down. This book was gripping, exciting and had my heart racing at parts. I loved Tina's character, a loving mother who would do anything for her son. Eloise was so calculating and dangerous. Rickys character could be seen unravelling quickly, not following plans and at one point I was scared for Tina and Lukes safety. I enjoyed the twists and turns in this story and will definatley be reading more books by this author.

This book...I was so surprised by so many things that happened in this book. Even when I thought I had it all figured out, Emily Shiner proved that her mind is clearly more devious than mine, and I love that!

Another amazing read from Emily Shiner. This is a well thought out thriller with great characters. I really felt like I knew them well which helped me to kind of predict how things would go but with some definite surprises in there too. I liked how the mental wellbeing of the characters was touched upon, it created that sense of aloneness which added to the tension. Well written and kept me reading.

Eloise finds out that her husband, Jared, has fathered a son with Tina. Jared is a super rich and successful business owner. If Eloise divorces him, the prenup leaves her with nothing. Eloise decides to plot a murder, where she will let Tina take the fall. Eloise employs the help of her cousin Ricky, who is mentally unstable. Ricky decides to take matters into his own hands.

This is a quick-paced thriller told from multiple POVs. I was disappointed that there is no real plot twist - everything is laid out from the get go. Some parts are a little slow, so I glazed over some parts. All in all, it is enjoyable but a bit far fetched!

Thank you NetGalley and Inkubator Books for the ARC!
