It is no secret that I do love a good desert Prince story and this one ticked all of the boxes for a great story, handsome caring prince and a strong and caring heroine, Sharif has lots of pressures on him at the moment and is taking some time out in the desert, when a terrible sand storm brings him Doctor Lauren Stephens the attraction is instant, but love never runs smoothly.

Lauren has been volunteering in Karesh as a surgeon when she discovers a cache of illegal weapons and knows that she must get out as soon as possible, but her escape also coincides with a sand storm and she is soon in terrible danger from that until she is rescued by Bedouin Herder, Sharif, sheltering in the tent soon opens up to a lot more.

The pressure to marry and take over ruling the country is hard on Sharif and none of the woman he has met cause a spark but when he meets Lauren things change and very quickly, after spending a few nights in each other’s arms Sharif is suddenly called back to the capital and the short affair they agreed to is over but Sharif cannot forget the beautiful Lauren.

Both get on with their lives but not for long when Sharif discovers something about Lauren and he now knows he must find her and convince her to marry him, but Lauren is not so easy to convince. Their journey is and up and down one filled with beautiful sensuality and strong convictions about love and trust and honesty and this is a story that I would highly recommend to any romance reader who loves to be swept away in a passionate journey.

My thanks to the publisher Escape and Netgalley for my digital copy to read and review.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading Desiring Her Desert Prince although some saccharine moments detracted from the story. Lauren’s reflection on the likelihood of Sharif not loving her late in the book was particularly trying to read without rolling my eyes: “An unseen hand drove a knife through her ribs and into her heart.” That aside, there were some lovely intimate scenes between Lauren and Sharif and the characters themselves were mostly believable. The story flowed well and had more than enough meat in it to keep me reading.

This was a nice read. I like how the author built the desire and tension of her storyline. Very easy to get in to.

There's just something about a Sheik! There could be worse things than sandstorms too. Jump into a fun adventure

I enjoyed this book so much. I have always enjoyed a desert prince dream, blame Disney for it with Aladdin. This was very good and I really enjoyed it.

BLURB:
Dr Lauren Stephens is volunteering in Karesh when she uncovers a crime and is forced to flee for her life. When a huge sandstorm leaves her stranded in the middle of the desert, a handsome stranger comes to her rescue, taking her to his luxurious camp. As they shelter there, the attraction between career-focused Lauren and the man she assumes is a simple Bedouin herder becomes undeniable.

Crown Prince Sharif has come to this remote camp to escape from the pressure to find a suitable wife before his 30th birthday - a prerequisite for inheriting the throne. He rescues Lauren out of traditional Kareshian hospitality, but is soon captivated by her beauty and intelligence - and the fact that she is falling for him rather than his title. As they give in to their passion, they know that their affair will be brief. But when a threat against his father's rule reunites them, will they find a way to make a future together?

MY REVIEW:
I’m a sucker for the ‘secret royalty’ trope, so was excited to be able to read this.

The plot is one that has been done before, but I still enjoyed this read. The characters are likeable, and the book is well-paced.

There is just enough conflict to make things interesting between the main characters, the setting is exotic, and there is, of course, a happy ending.

This was a quick, light read, that was finished in an hour.

Thank you to NetGalley for a copy of this book in return for my honest review.

This book started off in a way I was not sure I would enjoy it. This English woman really had the audacity to call him exotic in his home country? If anything, wasn't she the exotic one based on looks? It took me a little to get past it, but once they reunited after there passion filled time together, I really liked the MMC. And I appreciated how her being in the medical field wasn't just discussed as a passion but essential to the story. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing MS to read this arc for my honest opinion.
