The Lost Girl, was not only a satisfying mystery, but also contained credible subplots that worked well with the story. I enjoyed the continued dynamics between Fati Rizvi, a workaholic PI, and Detective Talvir Singh. Looking forward to book 4 to see what may develop with these 2 characters. The Lost Girl also explores family issues, especially honor, both in Fati’s family and that of the victim.
Fati is a great character and I hope we will see them featured again as there is so much potential to develop them further. This book crosses genres through its excellent and in depth character descriptions and analysis, offering both a mystery and almost a psychological or social study. I really enjoyed the setting, too, which is beautifully described.
