Once Upon the Very First Christmas for Little Ones is a simplified version of the first Christmas and the circumstances of Jesus birth in a manger. Entertaining pictures and told in rhyme, this is a really cute religious holiday book for young kids!

Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this advanced review copy (ARC) in exchange for my honest review on the book!

This is a simple and sweet re-enactment of the story of Jesus' birth. I especially liked the fact that the rhymes were actually done well, which is not always the case with children's books, rhythm and meter being thrown to the winds all too often!

The illustrations are cute and appealing, and will be attractive to young children. The diversity of the people portrayed was also a nice touch.

This is a good book through which to introduce children to the origin story of Christmas. And that too, in a way that goes beyond the decorations and the presents that are the more commonplace indicators of the festive season!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson: Children's for my copy of Once Upon the Very First Christmas for Little Ones by Rory Feek in exchange for an honest review. It publishes October 3, 2023.
This is such a sweet Children's Christmas book! I loved the cute poem, and the adorable illustrations! I loved seeing Indy, too! My toddler was totally enthralled, and I think he may receive this as an early Christmas gift this year! This would make an excellent gift for any little in your life this Christmas!

This was a sweet quick read about the very first Christmas. The illustrations were so wonderful. I think this would be a good book to read at bedtime to a child during Christmas.

A lovely telling of the Christmas story complete with eye-catching and colorful illustrations; as a children's storybook should be - at least, in my opinion.

I love that the story of Jesus' birth is told in poem rather than prose, giving a fresh perspective.

This was cute. It was shorter than I thought it would be for what the content was about, but it was great artwork!

The season is almost upon us. My little reader enjoyed the illustrations and the length of this well known story. After the first read she went back and added more details of her own to the story she knows. I appreciated the diversity depicted through the illustration
