To really appreciate Jane Hirshfield's poetry, I need quiet, peace, and an open mind. I like the way she thinks about the world and how she puts universal feeling into words. Some of her poems sit more deeply with me than others. This is a great collection to have if you've ever enjoyed her poetry. One of my favorites from this collection is Thermopolium.
