there a more beautiful and sad and precious series?...I don't think so. Each box is so beautiful that I would not know which one to choose to put in a frame, the colors, the graphics and the pattern.... i'm sobbing, it is very beautiful
.
The entire plot of the series is so great, touching themes like growing up, grief and friendship, and such deep themes as emotional well-being and mental care
.
The friendship between Marjorie, Eliza and Wendell is heartwarming, and how that relationship helps them grow and be strong in dark times. I just love it, I love every page and box and I definitely want it on my bookshelf or next to my nightstand to re read every now and then
.
Is simply precious and everyone must read this
.
Thanks to Brenna Thummler and Oni Press for give me a copy of this Beauty in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

This was my first chance to get any books from this series in my hands. I was a little lost at first, that's my fault. But I can say, that I love that the author and writing were written so that a fan of this series could just pick up and carry on. No introduction to what has already been told or revisiting anything to refresh, because a true fan of a series doesn't need all that. I LOVED IT!! I felt so connected to the characters, and their relationship dynamic. This is maybe my fourth graphic novel, and I must say... it's SUCH a breath of fresh air. No unnecessary dialogue to get the story across, yet still full of emotion and heart. The illustrations were amazing. The color shifts between time frames were (chef's kiss).

A story of two friends navigating the perfect example of what relationships are for their age, integrating and communicating those same relationships to parents while also finding themselves. Plus, and added a little twist and mystery.

I would recommend this series for sure, and look forward to the first two.

Thank you Oni Press for this ARC!!

I'm not sure whether to cheer or cry - a new installment of Sheets, but the last one. Brenna Thummler does an incredible job of mixing something somewhat whimsical - ghosts living in a laundromat - with honest and challenging themes - death of. a parent, child death, bullying, self-isolation, and more. Each of the books is emotional and Lights is no different. I loved seeing sweet Wendell the ghost learn and come to terms with what happened to him. I also loved watching Marjorie and Eliza's friendship grow, pains and all. I will definitely be recommending this one to my middle schoolers in the fall and adding it to my own shelf!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for an eARC.

Thank you @OniPress for the ARC. I have enjoyed this series and this conclusion brought it all to a satisfying end. Majorie is our main character and we see how she grows her friendship with old and new friends. Her special connection to Wendell and his will to find out how he became a ghost. Love Love.

My middle school (incoming seventh grader) read this book quickly and liked it! She said it was a really good way to end the series, which she enjoyed. She said that she liked the plot twist at the end. She said this graphic novel
showed you/kids that it's ok (and encouraged!) to make new friends. Also - it showed that all your friends don't need to like the same thing....a hot topic in middle school!
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to read the series finale!

Another brilliant book by Brenna, I throughougly loved this series, and this book finished the series just perfectly. We finally get to find out what happened to Wendell with some friendship problems for Majorie along the way. New friendships and old explored. It's absolutely amazing.

trigger warning
<spoiler> grief, mention of bullying </spoiler>

Things get weird when your dad, who is trying to do good, invites your bullies over for your birthday.

The main plot of this is trying to solve the mystery of how Wendall died and in theory, you could read it without any prior knowledge, but why deprive you of the experience of the first two installments when you can have it all?

Very atmospheric drawings, dealing with heavy topics in a way that does not hurt too much. Normally, I'd stay away from bullying thematics, but in this case, I love how it was handled.
We have character growth which is something one should really expect from a middlegrade book, since you have so many new-to-you experiences at that age, but sadly, not all stories feature that.

Feels like a great conclusion to the series, but I would like to see what the author does in the future.
The arc was provided by the publisher.

This is such a cute graphic novel!!

The struggles that the main characters face whilst figuring out their friendship groups and what they both want out of it.

The art style was really cool and a really good story.

A beautiful end to a gorgeous trilogy about trust, friendship, and learning to appreciate all of the people that contribute to the kaleidoscope of our lives. And gorgeously illustrated to boot!

Omgggggg I love these books. They are so tender and sweet! I loved the journey to find out how Wendell died. I loved the journey to find and repair friendships and family relationships. I miss this series already.

So cute! I definitely was at a disadvantage as I hadn't read the other two books in this trilogy but I found that even though I sometimes was a bit muddled the heart of this story does really shine through. The artwork is so incredible as well!

Oh my heart! This was such a beautiful and emotional story. This whole series has been so lovely and it was excellent to see more of Wendell's story. I love seeing how all these characters come together and grow.

This is one of my favorite graphic novel series. I'm sad that it is coming to an end but happy for Wendell to have closure.

This third and final installment has all of the feels! Marjorie, Eliza and Wendell are figuring out what really happened to Wendell when he died. As small flashes of memory are coming back to him, Wendell wants to rediscover his past. With high school on the horizon, Marjorie and Eliza are figuring out their friendship dynamic but things start to shake when two friends of the past who were mean to Eliza want to be friends again.

This book deals with growing up, friendship, death and being ready to move forward. I really enjoyed the book and feel like it is a well done conclusion to the series. The artwork is spectacular and the drawing of Wendell is adorable as always. It is hard to say goodbye but all good things come to an end. I cannot wait to see what is next in store for Brenna Thummler!

I have loved every book of this series and the third book didn’t disappoint. I loved the story and how it unfolds in the end. I also LOVE the colors and art in this book.

Thank you, NetGalley and the author/publisher for an eARC of this book! All opinions are my own.

What an intricately layered, emotionally resonant conclusion to the series. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Brenna Thummler is an auto-read author for me. I love her work, and Lights was no exception. She treats her characters with care and creates illustrations that wow—there were so many times I had to stop scrolling and just soak in the beautiful atmosphere.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Oni Press for a free advanced copy in exchange for an honest review!
