What I really loved about this graphic novel was its depth. We rarely see serious topics discussed in graphic novels or at least to this degree, and they're handled so well and respectfully. We got to explore depression, premature death, grief, throughout the series and I think this was a beautiful end to the trilogy. One of my favourite elements of Sheets that I thought amplified all of the different emotions and tones of the story was the use of colours. It has the most beautiful autumn vibes, and the snowy scenes were unreal. I love all the art, but the full size pages where there are no text and just images are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen in a graphic novel and there's definitely no shortage of them. Throughout the series, I've become really attached to these characters and the end had be crying, having to say goodbye to them. So emotional and well written!

If you're a fan of "Sheets" or "Delicates" by Brenna Thummler then you'll love this 3rd book in the series. Great middle grade graphic novel about the end of 8th grade.

I think overall this was the conclusion this story needed- at least as far as Wendell was concerned - but it felt disjointed and more than a little disconnected from the previous books (particularly in terms of tone). The flashes of Wendell’s life gave the story a cinematic feel but we didn’t get a lot of context for why now and why those specific scenes. He also broke several of the rules that had been established in the earlier books (props for calling it out, even though it just gets waved off), leaving us totally disconnected from like the ghost world and everything.

I appreciate Marjorie both as a preteen and also as someone who is going through sharp grief and as someone who’s navigating complex friendship dynamics. But I was also really frustrated at the passive role she took in this installment.

Tierney was a surprising favorite character, and I think her arc was well balanced and gripping

"I do enjoy a good human evaluation." -- Eliza, who is inarguably on the spectrum and deeply relatable to me.

I read "DELICATES" just a couple of days ago, and I'm so thrilled to have gotten a chance to read "LIGHTS" through NetGalley. I adore Eliza, she's my sweet baby and I will allow no harm to come to her.

I don't know if we'd call this genre cozy horror or what... the ghosts are so sweet, and even the way this series tackles difficult topics like grief, loss, and navigating relationships are all so thoughtful and kind. The relationship between Eliza and Marj is nuanced. The humor is quirky. This was such a lovely end to the series. And of course, the dual meaning of the title is *chef's kiss.*

Lights is as perfect as I knew it would be after falling in love with Sheets and Delicates. There is so much Wendell backstory and a huge focus on the realities of friendships shifting and evolving. Emotions simply radiate off the pages in the most glorious of ways. I will forever read anything the beautiful mind of Brenna Thummler creates. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC!

These graphic novels always feel so nostalgic and Lights is no exception. It takes you back to being thirteen, whether or not that's a time in your life you want to reflect on. This was the perfect way to wrap up the story, though, and I would love a graphic novel set when Marjorie's older just to see what she's up to. I am so glad to have read these graphic novels and they are some of my favorites to recommend!

More like 4.5 stars. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy in exchange for an honest review. I have been impatiently waiting for the third and final installment in the Sheets series, I have read the other two volumes a few times, they never disappoint. I can't say anything bad about this book. I have loved following Marjorie and Wendell and seeing their friendship blossom, he as a ghost helping her in the real world, while she tries to find out what really happened to him. It is a heart warming story about the power of friendship and navigating through middle school while trying to find out who you are. I definitely will be reading this one again.

The third and final book in the heartwarming story about a girl and her best friend, a ghost who lives undercover beneath a sheet. Majorie Glatt’s life has been changed ever since she discovered the group of ghosts hiding in her family’s laundromat. One ghost in particular has made a huge impact on her life, Wendall, a lonely but charming ghost who has become her best friend. Soon they are joined by ghost-enthusiast Eliza Duncan, and now they have become three best friends. This book deals with trying to figure out Wendall’s death, he died very young and he needs to know how he died and why. Wendall’s memory is barely there and so its up to his two best friends to journey with him down memory lane and try and discover what happened to him. All the while Marjorie and Eliza’s friendship is put to the test when Marjorie starts to befriend the very people who used to bully Eliza. This was an absolutely beautiful way to end the trilogy and it was so heartwarming to see the friendship and growth of these characters throughout the books. I adored the mystery and the way that friendship is depicted and healing as well. It truly was such a magical read that I think will stick with me for a long time.

*Thanks Netgalley and Oni Press for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review*
