Thank you to Net Galley for this ARC and amazing book!

Devil’s Candy is a spooky, fun, and visually striking series that combines paranormal horror with witty humor. The artwork is vibrant, with fantastically designed characters and demons, making every panel feel alive. I agree and recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a mix of adventure and supernatural elements. Even without reading the first two volumes, I was entertained by the lore and quickly connected with the story. The fast-paced action makes this series a great read for older teens and adults who love paranormal comedies. Especially someone like me who enjoys the supernatural and something that gives Halloween vibes!

I really hope this graphic novel comes our in color. The illustrations are so detailed that they would be even more stunning in color. I can totally see this being very popular with anime and manga fans.

I must admit that I haven't read the first two volumes and just wanted to take a peek at what this series was all about, but that wasn't an issue and I ended up getting sucked into the world while reading it. This is a series that can be easy to pick up a volume partway through and then work your way backwards to get caught up on the lore before heading forward, which is perfect for new readers.

There are so many characters in this series and they're all so incredibly diverse in their designs and personalities that it's a creative aesthetic on every page. I love it. The art is just gorgeous (and I had thought it looked familiar and it was--I played River City Girls with my brother, a game in which Rem was the lead artist on!). This is a series I have no doubt will spawn countless inspired newbie artists as they develop their own styles (and worlds, because wow--what a world!!).

So this was a delightful read and I will 100% be getting it and the first two volumes while looking forward to the future installments. I'm also going to be putting in a recommendation to our acquisitions staff at our library because this is absolutely something that our teens will just eat up!

The hijinks of Kazu, Pandora, and all their classmates continues in the third volume of Devil's Candy. No sooner do we finish dealing with the seedy crime-riddled underbelly of the demon world, when mob leader Tremolo seeks out Yahgie for a rock-off. Soon the class is off on a fieldtrip deep below the surface to an entire underworld city. As one story leads into the next, this has been turning into an enjoyable series.

The artwork is adorable, easy to follow, and they even include explanations for some of the terms. I've been enjoying this fun little paranormal comedy. I hope it turns the focus back to Kazu and Pandora a bit more as we have been sidetracking a bit with the stories featuring support characters. I do find it enjoyable to get to know each of them a bit more though.

Thank you to NetGalley and VIZ media for the advanced reader copy of this manga!

Devil’s Candy is a spooky and entertaining series that follows a group of young demons as they face danger and adventure together.

I haven’t read the two previous volumes before this one, but I was still entertained by the story and I could gather enough information to enjoy it as a stand-alone. I was fascinated by the lore that was given for the demons and their world. It was especially fun to see all the character designs and demon types. I thought the art was great and that the script was witty. Panels were also formatted well for easy reading. This series would be enjoyable for older teens and adults who enjoy paranormal horror & comedy. I’m planning to find earlier volumes and follow the series in future.
