Titus de Wolfe is an Executioner Knight. He is a spy and an assassin. He will do whatever it takes to protect England. He doesn't have time for love with England on the edge of war within. But a runaway horse and saving Katiana renews a connection from twenty years ago. It may seem crazy but Titus knows this is the woman he wants for his wife. Unfortunately this comes with complications that will put Katiana's life in danger. There's only one solution, but it will take the de Wolfe empire to protect Titus and Katiana's decision.
Mild descriptive sex. Violence.

Medieval Romantic Adventure

When Titus saw a child being beaten by her brother, he protected her. Little did he know that she would be his destiny. The two children grew up, as children must, and they met again. It was an instant spark, but Katiana did not think she had a chance with such a noble knight. However, Titus was a man used to getting his way. Unfortunately, there were those who did not want the two to be together. A vicious and greedy woman wanted Titus for herself. An evil brother with an agenda wanted to sell Katiana to the highest bidder. Titus would marry the woman he loved without permission, but what were the consequences? Danger was coming, but beware of the de Wolfe Pack. They will go to any length to protect their own. I enjoyed this medieval romantic adventure and would recommend it to lovers of the genre. It kept me turning the pages.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.

It was so nice to see Titus and Katiana meet again and fall for each other but nothing runs smoothly in this love story!

Katiana's brother has been an evil influence in her life and now will threaten her marriage. Along with Titus's jealous neighbor who is not happy that he married someone else.

This book was action packed and non-stop drama so it was hard to put down and glad that the evil plots were overturned and Titus and Katiana got their HEA.

I love having any of the de Wolfe family in the story - so fun to see them again and again!

Wolfeborn
By none other than Kathryn Le Veque

When he sees a Katrina, he determines to marry her right there and does. After all, once in love it is forever for a de Wolfe. However, over plans were supposed to have made happen, so no one is safe. An excellent read. There is so much detail in the story that it makes you feel as if you are watching the actions play out in front of you. This is an action packed story going back and forth between a possible war and the romance between Titus and Katiana. You never know what is going to happen next but one thing is for sure and that is, the deWolfe’s stand together and defend their own, first and foremost. This is an excellent story, I loved it and would highly recommend it. I received a free copy of this book via Netgalley and are voluntarily leaving a review....

First, when I read a de Wolfe book I always compare it to The Wolfe. While none has surpassed it, the new book must at least compare and WolfeBorn absolutely rises to that challenge. This book made me crave the original to the point I've had to start reading all 800 pages of The Wolfe again.

Titus is a man who is noble and falls in love with a woman, Katiana de Edington, who is not necessarily of his station. To make matters worse, her father is uncaring at best and her brother is a sociopath. They fall into that once in a lifetime love and marry without anyone's consent. This causes problems for Titus and the de Wolfe family.

This was a wonderful story which was expertly written. Kathryn Le Veque crafts as close to perfection as you can get once again and highly recommend WolfeBorne, 5🌟/5🌟.

I just reviewed WolfeBorn by Kathryn Le Veque. #WolfeBorn #NetGalley

In a country torn by war and jockeying for power, a sweet romance emerges between Titus and Katiana. As a small child, Titus had come to her rescue and he is doing it again. The political situation makes the course of their romance rocky, to say the least, and with her vicious brother snapping at her heels in an attempt to exploit her to his best advantage, Katiana is once again placed in a perilous situation. Over the years, Katiana has learned to stand up for herself, but it takes more than her quick thinking to save herself. Fortunately, the de Wolfe Clan stands together and revenge is sweet. The novel comes to a beautiful conclusion with their enemies receiving their just and gruesome reward. The plot is suspenseful and very well-researched, and by contrast, Titus and Katiana's love story brings a sweet breath of fresh air. I received a copy of this exciting novel as a gift through Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and this is my honest and voluntary review.

This was a very well-written, entertaining medieval romance. It was spellbinding, sweet, sensual, action packed and I didn't want to put it down. I enjoyed this book and will continue to be on the lookout for more books by this author.

Wolfeborn by KathrynLe Veque is a story about the grandson of the great William Wolfe, and son of Patrick “Atty” and Brighton. Titus had solidified himself as an enemy of Ansel de Edington when the two of them were fifteen years of age and Titus had rescued Ansel’s sister, Katiana, from his abuse. He was whipping her with a switch. His uncle and grandfather had caught the fight, and made Titus her protector from that time forward. Ansel had been sent home in disgrace. Now twenty years later, when Titus was in London in his occupation as an Executioner Knight, he had cause to stop a runaway horse whose rider turned out to be Katiana. She had grown into a beautiful woman and he was captivated. They spent several days together before she had to travel north because she had been summoned to her father’s death bed. He was to go apprise his father of the major political happenings underfoot so he volunteered to escort her, along with two servants. Along the way he determined he wanted to marry her. She said no as their social standings were nowhere near equal and she had no dowry. As a member of the de Wolfe family he could expect both. Finally, as they arrived at his brother’s fortress, he convinced her and they snuck off to the local priest and did the deed. He had no doubt her brother would refuse his request to marry her and no telling what he would do to her once she was in his power. He was depending on his father to help him break the news to Ansel.

Titus is what we’ve come to expect from a Wolfe descendant, big, bold, courageous, and loving. Katiana was well past marriageable age and did not expect ever to marry. She was bright, and cheerful, but realistic. Both good characters, as one come to expect from Le Veque. The plot was a little different, although “stealing” a bride has happened before in the series. Evil brothers are common, usually motivated by greed. Ansel was indeed evil. As always, love won. It was a nice break to read a de Wolfe novel. I enjoyed it.

I was invited to read a free e-ARC of Wolfeborn by Dragonblade, through Netgalley. All thoughts and opinions are mine. #Netgalley #Dragonblade #KathrynLeVeque #Wolfeborn

Get ready to step back in time and one de Wolfe's Titus.

When he sees a Katrina, he determines to marry her right there and does. After all, once in love it is forever for a de Wolfe.

Unfortunately, others are not happy, due to wanting an alliance with the powerful family and it may be a race to keep everyone safe!

Politics, Betrayals, Romance:
A very intriguing beginning of this epic story where a very young Katiana and Titus first meet.
Their romance story starts many years later after Titus again saves Katiana in a most unexpected way.
Rekindling their friendship and realizing they are both enjoying each other's company along with a budding attraction that has them rethinking their relationship the more time they spend together. It doesn't take long for desire to show its lovely face.
A very in depth exciting emotional story filled with a large cast of characters and as much turmoil, betrayals, and disasters as you can possibly imagine.
Reuniting with some of the large family was a highlight and added a good amount of joy to the story.
Espionage and politics filled most of the pages along with a few terrifying situations. At one point while I was so deeply immersed in the reunion of a father and son that I was so caught off guard I almost fell out of my chair when the despicable solution to a problem occurred. I had to stop and take a breath at that point.

“You are the easiest decision I have ever made.”

Titus may be impulsive and is more playful than grumpy, but he has a true romantic's heart deep inside. Katiana is pragmatic and has a realistic outlook on her unfortunate life, being born to an aloof, neglectful father and a truly sinister, abusive brother. These two met as children and Titus immediately took on the role of her protector, but twenty years would go by before they could meet again.

Titus and Katiana have a very sweet romance, full of light-hearted teasing and soul-searing chemistry, and I loved the way they challenged each other when discussing the obstacles they faced on their way to their HEA.

As with all KLV books, I really appreciate the expansive historical research that is evident throughout the story and in the author's notes. This book, more than others, really brings together all the de Wolfe branches as they face a political crisis in 1312. There is such a rich tapestry of characters, familiar faces and new acquaintances, and so much emphasis on the familial bonds across generations. It's a truly immersive experience each time I open a de Wolfe book and I absolutely adore getting lost in this author's world.

You haven't read medieval romance until you've read a Kathryn Le Veque book. Grab this one, or start with any one of her series - they're all standalone romances with plenty of heat and heart. I've read dozens of her books over the years, and they just keep getting better and better. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
💋💋

Wish I could give this so many more stars.
It was riveting, to the point I finally finished at 2 am last night.
Kathryn writes such good books I wish I had half her talent.

Our hero is Titus, a tall, strong wonderful knight, a member of the Executioner Knights under the control of Morgen de Lohr.
He’s never taken things seriously, never fallen in love. Until now.
His lady is Katiana de Edington, she’s five when they first meet and Titus is Fifteen, he’s told he’s her protector by his grandfather William de Wolfe , and that’s where their story begins.

It’s fast full of information (so be ready) the characters are wonderful, full of life and some full of darkness too.
When this is set England is on the verge of war and upheaval, and our characters have much to deal with.
This book is epic, it one of those you’ll definitely remember.
And a bonus is that all Titus’s brothers are in it and most of his uncles.
Enjoy, it’s breathtaking.

Titus de Wolfe is the youngest of four brothers. He is also an Executioner knight and spends his time touring the country collecting important information. With the political intrigue happening at the time our tale is set that is a full time job.

Katiana de Edington is quite happy living with an elderly aunt in London. Most of her life she has been ignored by her father or bullied by her vicious brother. Her peace is about to be completely shattered.

This visit to the wonderful medieval world of the De Wolfe family is just as exciting and fulfilling as you can want.

There is danger, excitement, giggles and steamy sex scenes. Our hero is often like a naughty little boy, even though he is a huge battle tested warrior. Our lonely, unloved heroine is about to find out what a family should really be like.

Our author never fails to give us stories that are so different from each other, yet linked by family ties. Regular readers will know most of the characters, but even if this is the first one you have picked up you will fall in love with them all. Then you will go directly back to your bookshop for more. As always once I picked this up, I couldn't put it down.

I loved every page.

In days of old when knights were bold!______2.5 stars

I was looking for a quick engaging read. Sadly this didn’t quite fill the bill.
It’s 1292. Five year old Katiana de Edington, is being beaten by her brother Ansel Edington in the stables. The children were both being fostered at Roxburgh Castle as was the custom. When Titus son of Patrick de Wolfe, Earl of Berwick, witnesses this he pulls Ansel off the wee mite in no uncertain terms. Ansel is sent back home and Titus is told that he in charge of protecting Katiana.
Fast forward twenty years (1312) to London and Katiana is saved once again by Titus when her horse bolts. Not that they recognize each other at this stage.
It’s the time when Lancaster begins his move for the throne. Titus is an Executioner Knight, a group formed a hundred years ago whose aim is to keep England stable.
It seems Lancaster has broken away from a rebel group who oppose Edward. His ally, the Earl of Warwick, against custom, abducted Edward II’s supporter, Piers Gaveston from Pembroke’s charge, and taken him to stand trial at Warwick Castle for crimes against England.
I’ve got to say I found characters somewhat wooden. Katiana, the poor little rich girl, whose father sends her to try to her Aunt Ethyl to make a good marriage. Of course she no dowry.
Her brother Ansel calls her home because their father’s died. In reality he’s going to sell her to the highest bidder. Titus is to be her escort.
I feel like I’ve met the characters before in other guises, particularly the Lady Zora the spoilt pathological liar who demands her own way and turns situations to her bent.
A fairly predictable Middle Ages romance that is not as exciting as its blurb. I wished it were.

A Dragonblade ARC via NetGalley.
Many thanks to the author and publisher.

It’s been way too long since I’ve read a medieval romance and WolfeBorn was the perfect book to break the dry spell.

I loved that an act of protection was the thing that brought this couple together. The fact that Katiana was a small child when this took place only added to the charm of their story. Once they are reunited their quick banter and witty flirtations solidified my total enjoyment in this book.

While this does deal with a bit of political drama, it does not consume the story line but adds a touch of flavor to it. There is definitely some danger and struggle from a different source that had me turning the pages as fast as possible to reach the resolution. This was my first by this author and I’m definitely planning to dig deeper into her rich and luscious backlist.

WolfeBorn brings us the story about Katiana de Edington and Titus de Wolfe who is a grandson of William de Wolfe whom many of this author's books stem from. It's not necessary to read any of the books before this one but it is amazing how the author ties in other family members and describes them so you feel like you know everyone. There was a big family gathering in the second half and I admit I lost track of everyone but it didn't detract from the story. I'm guessing the author partly included all these members for those readers that avidly follow the books.

I gave the book 4 starts and felt the second half was more engaging to me as a reader than the first half. Titus was an amazing hero from the start and I can't say enough good things about him. There's a comment he makes to Katiana during one of their initial meetings "I want to inspire men" that just shows how much good he wants to do in the world. He starts out the book championing and standing up for Katiana when they're children(he was actually a teen) and finishes in the same way. He's a leader, strong, protector, handsome(of course) and also had me smiling with his sense of humor. He actually named his horse Jesus...so just imagine some of those scenes. It seemed the first half of the book had more detail about Titus and his work as a knight. It almost felt like information was given that may set the tone for future books with some of the political powers in play. I probably glossed over some of this as this doesn't interest me as much as the story between the main characters.

Titus meets Katiana first as children then later in life as adults. While it wasn't insta-love, the two definitely shared an attraction and the first half shows them becoming reacquainted. The book is in alternating POV's so you are really able to see how each one feels about the other as they talk. Katiana was a great heroine as well although I didn't feel as strongly about her as I did about Titus. They end up married...which didn't happen through the usual/proper channels and this creates some havoc. They had good reasons for the. marriage which I don't want to spoil. Their arrival at Titus's parents home and ensuing activities takes up much of the second part of the story which I went through fairly quickly. There's drama with a jealous woman as well as Katiana's brother who is a horrible person. Between them, the deWolfe family and other drama you'll find yourself quickly finishing this story. I'll share I enjoyed the ending scene...I don't want to spoil it but always like it when the author gives us a little insight into the future.

Overall I really enjoyed this book and while I've read some of the other de Wolfe stories, I have yet to read them all. After finishing this book, I find myself wanting to read about more of this family so will be looking up some of the characters mentioned in this book for their stories.

Thank you to NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my advanced reader copy. I really enjoyed this book!

Another good read. I loved both Titus and Katiana which of course helps. And of course the whole de Wolfe clan.

The story was interesting and I was fully behind the romance. And we also have true evil in the form of Ansel and Zora.
So all I can say is bring on the next one.

Wow is all I can say about this book. If I could give it more than a 5 star I would. This author always has a way with words and bringing you into her world. There's suspense, action, drama, craziness and love. Come join the de Wolfe's has they fight and love for their own. Excellent read.
