BookTok made me do it and I am happy I finally joined in. After finishing Brutal Prince, I downloaded the rest of the series. I am going on vacation soon and will read all of these books while sipping a cocktail at the beach. This is exactly what I want mafia romance to be. Perfect smut and heavy on the girl power!

Thank you #Netgalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review

I absolutely love this book. I originally read it on Kindle Unlimited with the rest of the series and it was the first mafia series I had ever read and I adored it. After rereading this book I still love it just as much as the first time.
Sophie Lark's writing is so addictive and so easy to read and fall in love with the characters and the story.
I love Callum and Aida so much and loved being able to reread their journey and seeing them fall in love all over again and seeing how this amazing series started.
I still think the strawberry wedding scene is one of the best scenes in any book ever and is one of the main reasons I love these books.
I'm so glad these books are being traditionally published now as I just love them and cannot wait to be able to finally have them on my bookshelves.

I could not put this down, it had me hooked from the get go. The mafia romance can be a risky one as it has to be done well and Sophie Lark did it EXCEPTIONALLY!

I have heard a lot of hype around this series, which made me reluctant at first. This was my first time reading a "mafia romance", so I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I loved the angst between the two main characters, I do love a good enemies to lovers trope. I thought the banter between the two characters was fantastic. The end was good but I felt like there could have more story to what I thought was a significant plot point. I am excited to continue this series

Thank you for the opportunity to review this book!

Callum Griffin is the heir to the Irish Mafia. He’s ruthless, arrogant, and he hates Aida after she crashes a party at his house and sets fire to his family library. Aida is the princess to the Italian mafia but she doesn’t have a soft bone in her body. After almost beginning a Mafia war between the two families, Callum and Aida are forced to marry to avoid the bloodshed but these two enemies are not going to make this marriage easy.

This is the first mafia romance that I could really get behind. These two are the true definition of enemies to lovers and I was totally here for it. The banter and revenge was amazing and Aida is a freaking boss lady. I enjoyed the twist and turns, the love story, and everything that happened in this book. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

I was so scared to go into this series because it has a lot of hype around it but OMG it did not disappoint. My jaw was on the floor from start to finish. Each page, each chapter there was something new and exciting. I am utterly in love with these characters.

my god I love Sophie Lark. Brutal Prince started my obsession with Sophie's books back in early 2021 and I have never left the Sophie fan club haha.

Sophie writes the best women - period. Enemies to lovers and arranged marriage is NEVER going to miss. Aida is one of my all time favorite characters. She really gave Callum a run for his money too. These two have such great chemistry and heat.

The illustrations are gorgeous too! <3

Sophie Lark’s enemies to lovers marriage of convenience novel definitely hits all the right notes!

The plot has everything you need with a lot of steam! Add in the illustrations and you’ve got me obsessed!

Whilst I enjoyed the palpable chemistry between the two main characters, their behaviour seemed a little below their age and in some occasions uncharacteristic.

The plot keeps you hooked but the writing style was slightly underdeveloped. Despite this, the fast paced novel is a great quick read if you’re after something fun!

I love Sophie's writing style, the plot, the main characters Aida & Callum! The blend of banter, tension and spice was perfection.

My favorite trope is enemies to lovers and this hit it on the head.

Brutal Prince is the first book of the Brutal Birthright series and WHAT A WAY TO START! I absolutely love this book so much! Enemies to lovers was done so well!!

This is such a great enemies to lovers read! Sophie Lark has me hooked! Aida is a fiery heroine who has grown up with only brothers. While Callum is the perfect politician cold and unfeeling. They come together after a forced marriage with clashing personalities and great banter. The first book in an awesome series! I love the author's writing style and creativity. When you find a genre you like a lot of the stories have the plot, so I enjoy fresh stories. I do like the rebrand to new covers, I am not a fan of male models on covers even though I mostly read ebooks. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series as well as her other work! I received an ARC through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Mafia romance with a bada** FMC and a dreamboat of a somewhat questionable MMC? Yeah, sign me up. My first Sophia Lark and I’m here to say the hype is real and so very worth it.

The tension, the banter, the spiceeee! Yes please, what more do I need? This was the perfect balance of opposites attract dripping with drama. I’ll be immediately trying to scarf down the rest of the series so don’t sleep on the illustrated editions.

When cold-blooded Callum and fire-fueled Aida are forced into a marriage linking the Irish Mob and Italian Mafia in Chicago, the two never expect to fall in love.

This is a mafia romance, so expect violence, brooding males, bullheadedness, hot tempers, and some very alpha male behavior, but Aida isn’t afraid to give back as good as she gets.

And when she and Callum begin to band together for common goals and against a common enemy, their initial antagonism turns into a fierce and fiery bond. It’s opposites-attract with lots of passion and protectiveness.

It’s a high-stakes, entertaining read.

I received a review copy from Bloom Books and NetGalley. All review opinions are my own.

One of the best introduction to Mafia romance books out there. It has everything you want, arranged marriage between feuding families, murder, betrayal, etc.

I had very high expectations for this book after seeing it around for a while. I love arranged Marrage and enemy to lovers tropes so I thought this would be perfect for me.

Overall I thought it was good but not amazing. It felt rushed and I I wish we had a different timeline for the different pov. Don’t regret reading but won’t be continuing on with the series.

Sophie Lark’s books are always super entertaining and spicy. I’m excited to see her getting picked up for traditional publishing! Brutal Prince is a great start of a good series!

Brutal Prince by Sophie Lark is an enemies to lovers, arranged marriage, dark mafia romance. It follows Aida Gallo and Callum Griffin who are from rival families. After Aida accidentally starts a fire in Callum's family home, they are put in an arranged marriage to form an alliance between the families. This was such a fun read! I flew through this book so fast because I was so invested in the romance and the crime/suspense aspects. Aida and Callum were constantly butting heads and they had the best banter but it was so satisfying to see the hate turn to love! There are also a lot of suspense in this book because we are following two mafia crime families. There was violence but it was not as dark as I expected it to be. If you are new to dark romances, this would be a great place to start! I also loved that there was not a third act breakup. I find third act breakups to be very frustrating and this book had suspense in place of the conflict which I appreciated. If you are looking for a fun and fast paced romance this one was so good!
Thanks to NetGalley and Bloom Books for the ARC in exchange for a review!

What I liked most in this book was the humor and the lines exchanged between Aida and pretty much anyone else, particularly Callum. They honestly gave this story an extra star.

Overall, I’d say this was a decent mafia book. Not much angst, not much of a love story either, some action but nothing extraordinary, all in all it was average, but the good kind of average. It was a quick and easy read.
