Who doesn’t love a good thriller? And this one certainly did not disappoint!
I was gripped from the beginning. This book had so many twists and was so tension filled, it kept me turning page after page.
This book I was so excited to read. I just knew that the plot as well as the characters would have a hold onto me, pulling me into their crazy world. Sadly after the 150th page they didn’t. The story didn’t have a spike of suspense. No thrill. No twist. No haunt. Nothing in the beginning to get me to invest my reading into this book. Sadly I’m very disappointed. The story mostly talked about two couples and their daily lives and oops there may be a mystery that has not been confirmed in the neighborhood. I didn’t enjoy the book. Read on!
This was my first book by Sheryl Browne and now I need more. A well written thriller with tension and suspense throughout the whole book. I loved the different points of view and trying to figure out who was lying, who could be trusted. So many twists, I partly figured one out but the big twist I did not see coming!
Holy cow! The twists this book threw at me! I could not put it down, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time I was reading it! The parallels between father and son; the way the ending just brought me back to the fathers’ “I didn’t do it”
I found this book really enjoyable to read. It flowed easily and went into sufficient detail. It had great character building. The suspense through out the book was great and loved how it ended.
This is a amazing twisty read kept me guessing until the end I just couldn't put it down it kept me up way past my bed time
A great story with interesting characters and enough twists and turns to make your head spin! I would definitely recommend if you like psychological thriller.
Thank you Netgalley. This was a crazy good read. The secrets and lies unfold perfectly and kept me reading late into the night. Do we really ever know someone? Not in this book!! Loved this one and will be downloading more from this author ASAP. Highly recommend
I do love Sheryl Browne's books & this one was no exception. I was invested right from the start & couldn't put this book down.
This is another creepy psychological thriller from Sheryl Browne. Naomi is married to Ben, they have two children and she is pregnant with their third child. Ben is always stressed with his job and Naomi is hoping that their move to a new job and a new house will improve their relationship. The house had been empty for a number of years and needs a lot of renovation. Naomi finds the house creepy especially when she discovers that the young girl who had lived there went missing and her father hung himself from a tree in the garden. Her next door neighbour seems very friendly but Naomi notices that she seems to dislike Ben as does most of the community. When a homeless woman turns up at their door and calls an by a different name she realises that he has been hiding secrets from his past and her world comes crashing down. This is a story of lies, secrets and deceptions with plenty of twists and turns along the way. A highly recommended read.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
My Husband’s House is the latest spine-tingling chiller from the fabulous Sheryl Browne.
Naomi can barely contain her excitement. She has just moved into her new home with her husband Ben and their two adorable children and she hopes that this move will help to bring her and her man together. The past few months have been tough for them and Ben seems to be growing more and more distant with each passing day. He’s a loving father who is always there for his kids – even if lately he seems to have built a wall around himself that Naomi just cannot seem to breach. Will their new home help them grow closer together? Or will it end up tearing them apart forever?
Naomi’s new neighbour Sara is kind, friendly and welcoming. She immediately puts Naomi at ease and makes her feel as if she might have a role in the new community she has become a part of. However, Naomi was unnerved by the flicker of anger that had crossed Sara’s face when she had met Ben for the first time. But was it really the first time the two of them had crossed paths? Do they have a history together? And could Sara be the reason why her husband is so distant?
Naomi cannot shake off this feeling that something isn’t quite right. She knows Ben is lying to her and her trepidation intensifies when there is a knock at their door one night and Naomi’s entire world comes crashing down…
Creepy, unsettling and packed with twist after twist, My Husband’s House by Sheryl Browne is another first-rate domestic noir title from this talented writer that will keep you reading all through the night. Sheryl Browne’s My Husband’s House is a juicy and addictive tale of secrets, lies and deception that is an absolute struggle to put down – don’t miss it!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance copy of My Husband's House by Sheryl Browne in exchange for my honest review and opinion. This is one fast paced psychological thriller that will leave you gasping at the craziness that ensues. It's one heck of a wild ride that I loved. Plot twist!

This is an intense and captivating read that I have adored. There is nothing about this one that I can say I’ve disliked.
I love how filled with twists this is, it definitely keeps you guessing as you read this one. Browne has kept me entertained and unable to predict where this was going.
I loved how this has played out. It keeps you guessing from beginning to end. The characters are developed perfectly so you feel as though you know them.
The plot is perfectly paced and really does keep you on edge. I have devoured this in just one sitting.

This book had so many twists and turns. Loved it. It starts right from the beginning and doesnt let up. Unpredictable endings are what I love.
Amazing Book and as with all Sheryl Browne thrillers, very well written!! Sorry I hadn't uploaded the review for this title- which I actually read ages ago now 🥹, I thought I genuinely had!
Every so often I come across a psych thriller that is so gonzo that I close my Kindle and think, “What the heck did I just read?” My Husband’s House by Sheryl Browne is that type of book.
I’ve come to the conclusion that a good psych thriller must have a prologue that pulls the reader in but also keeps them guessing about where that prologue lies within the plot. Is it the past or yet to come? I’ve said it before, but it makes for a more engaged reading experience.
Naomi and her husband Ben move into an old house, and Naomi strikes up a friendship with the next-door neighbor, Sara. Naomi is a bit on the superstitious side, so there are a few things that make her uneasy, but she chalks that up to being 6 months pregnant.
However, things soon start to spiral: Ben undergoes a complete personality change, Sara gets touchy around Ben, Sara’s boyfriend Paul starts acting cagey…it’s all a lot for a pregnant woman to take in.
And then things turn deadly.
I thought this psych thriller was a good page-turner. I was never sure where the author was going next. There were a lot of twists and turns and some worked better than others.
There was a slight “suspension of disbelief” needed for parts of the book. I can’t really elaborate without giving away major plot points. But one of the biggest ones served to illustrate just how damaged a person can become from a childhood event.
Speaking of children, for the most part they were more entertaining than kids usually are in a book. I think the author could have done a little bit more in character development with all of the characters because some of the relationships seemed to come out of left field. But I like where she left it with Naomi and her kids – especially Liam.
My Husband’s House (bad title, it gives away a major plot point) actually did have me staying up late at night to finish; I had to know how everything would turn out. I give Sheryl Browne credit for that, because not every psych thriller keeps me that entertained. I look forward to her next one.
I enjoyed this fast paced read. It was fairly predictable but entertaining enough. I would recommend to others interested in the genre.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
Great thriller with a lot of twists and turns.
Deeply disappointing. This book tried too hard to be suspenseful and gripping but failed miserably. I struggled to finish it. And the ending was weak and left the book feeling unfinished.
Not for me at all.
