Where to even start?! What a fabulous book. It really does have everything you'd want in a thriller, the twists and turns, a good pace, that ominous atmosphere that builds up throughout and so many jaw dropping reveals! It's so well plotted out with so much going on that your head will spin! I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend
A new home. A loving wife. A secret that could kill… I read through the night to finish this thriller that turns into a nightmare. Spooky, tense, richly atmospheric and profoundly moving! This author turns the psychological thumbscrews with relish. This great read spirals towards its dark conclusion, wrong footing the increasingly uneasy reader at every turn. This twisty thriller is jam-packed with tense moments and a growing sense of unease…..
I don't think I'll ever get tired of reading Sheryl Browne's books - preferably when I have time to keep reading for hours because they're terribly hard to put down, and this one is no exception. Even when you think you have the situation roughly figured out, there's still suspense about the details, and sooner or later there will be a twist that you hadn't expected at all. At least it was like that for me with this book. I even enjoyed knowing a couple of things before they were revealed, and I strongly suspect it was meant to be like that - we're supposed to guess a thing or two, so what we didn't guess will take us even more by surprise. Anyway, very good book again - definitely recommended (maybe just not to pregnant women, especially if they're about to move to a new house).
This book was just mediocre to me. I put Sheryl's books into three categories: great! middle, or just couldn't get through it. This was def in the middle. There was some good suspense with how do these characters know each other? What happened to the missing child? But I feel like it was longer than it needed to be. Some twists. Some sadness, Some wow moments.
Wow! Just wow! When I sat down to read My Husband's House yesterday, I didn't plan on reading the entire book. Well, Sheryl's writing hooked me from the beginning, kept me enchanted from the first page to the last, and didn't let me go until I finished.
I love Sheryl's psychological thrillers, and this one tops the list!
Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Oooh yes please!!!! Everything about this book big huge yes!!! Sheryl Browne certainly knows how to write a psychological thriller. Page after page more drama going on I couldn't wait to see how this ended. And still pulling punches to the very end! Yes please is always the answer to reading any book from her.
Thanks to the author, the publisher and NetGalley for an early release of this book.
Heart pounding thriller that left me on the edge of my seat. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. Definitely one of the best books this year.
