A comfortable, quirky, and cozy read perfect for the fall that will have you stocking up on mini Snickers bars.

Jessica Gold isn't a stranger to unexpected or unexplained things happening in her little town of West Harbor at least she wasn't until Derrick Winters shows up and now literal gods and monsters are popping up when and where they're least expected.

Derrick Winters has one hell of a family tree, Seriously, his family is large, complex, and has a little bit of just about everything. He also has the added responsibility of saving the world, well small towns over and over and over again.

Showing up in West Harbor Derrick has no idea what he's walked into, All he knows is that from the moment he sees Jessica he has to keep her safe and help the bringer of light and the chosen one save this little town that's made him feel like he's home for the first time in his life.

With witches, wolves, and romance this book has everything I look for in a good fall read and is the perfect start to what I hope will be a very long series.

Thank you to Avon Harper Voyager and NetGalley for providing a copy of this E-Book, I have voluntarily read and reviewed it and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC.

I was very excited to grab this one because I really do enjoy Meg Cabot. I mean who doesn't love the Princess Diaries? And I adored her Heather Wells series, it was so fun. I did enjoy Enchanted to Meet You and getting a chance to meet Jessica and Derrick and all the other characters in West Harbor. The thing that prevents me from giving it four stars is just that it all felt so fast. Not just the love affair, I can do insta-love, but the entire overarching storyline just seemed to go by in a blink. It felt too rushed. Either the book could have been longer or, and I rarely say this, I would have been ok with this being two or even three books.

Jessica Gold lives in the picturesque seaside town of West Harbor, Connecticut. She owns a lovely boutique, Enchantments, and excels at making her clients look and feel amazing in her clothes. Is it magic or just good tailoring? Jessica grew up in West Harbor and lives a pretty tame life, playing trivia with her best friends and hanging out with her black cat. All is pretty normal until Derrick Winter, a sexy witch in a leather jacket, rolls into town and informs her that she is the Chosen One and it is up to her to help save West Harbor.

Look, this is a fast read and it has all the humor and heart that you expect from a Cabot novel. With the coming spooky season, it makes for a fun Halloween read, it is perfectly atmospheric. And I’ll be checking out the next book because I really want to spend more time with Jessica and Derrick so obviously I liked the book. I just wanted a little bit more time watching it develop.

My ARC was provided by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. The male love interest was dreamy and I was interested in the couple’s story snd therefore the main plot but the book fell flat for me. Maybe I’ve been reading too much smut lately but I feel like it was too surface level and safe and could have been developed to be a more interesting with some vulnerable moments and keep the reader more invested in the story. It felt a bit rushed at the end to wrap it up and anti-climactic.

well that was fun for quick and light read. I love that the romance wasn't really "problematic" even though it's insta-love, since the conflict is about witch stuff. I enjoyed it but the problem solving felt... anticlimactic?

anyway, I love Jess and Dina's friendship, I like how the magic is subtle but enchanting (see what I did here, iykyk). ANd I think it's going to have a sequel? will definitely read it!

Enchanted to Meet You:⁣

Thank you @bibliolifestyle @avonbooks partner for my gifted copy. ⁣

“People are always trying to brush off the things that women love, like fashion and makeup, as superficial or frivolous. But they’re not, because for some people, those things are armor they put on to feel more confident in a world that can sometimes feel cruel. They’re transformative and empowering.”⁣

Listen, I’ve been reading Meg Cabot for a hot minute. Like I had braces hot minute. And I’ll say something loud. Enchanted to Meet You is my favorite of hers for quite some time. For the fans of Practical Magic and Bewitched, this is for you. ⁣

This book was SO GOOD. We have Jessica who is “just a cottage witch” that loves using magic for making her boutique customers really feel special in their clothes. She might have casted a love spell in 2007, and has been paying back years to right it. Derrick is this Viking of a man comes to town to tell her she’s “The Chosen One” to save her town for impending doom. ⁣

This book gave us early 2000s nostalgia, a badass trivia team, a broody love interest, not a third act breakup (y’all know those are the worst for me and this didn’t really happen), amazing supportive cast of characters, perfect banter. This book had it all. I did kick my legs in the air and squeal when the love interests finally said something. Out now, y’all grab it! Oh, and it’s the first of a series 👀 Consider me invested.

A cute, modern-day fantasy romance. I was excited to see a new book from Meg Cabot (I haven't read a book of hers since The Princess Diaries). But my expectations were too high here. I found the plot slow and the climax was underwhelming. If you go in expecting a rom-com with some fantasy sprinkled in, you might enjoy it more. I found it a bit inta-lovey with rushed fantasy elements.

Sometimes when the plot isn't compelling the characters make up for it. But I didn't find myself particularly attached to either of the main characters. The FMC's main character trait was stress eating chocolate... The side characters had more personality. I probably wont continue this series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for providing an eARC of this book.

I received a free copy from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This was a weird, fun, sweet story. It had some of my favorite character traits she’s used in past novels, with mean girls, mystery, and a little bit of saving the town for good measure. If you like paranormal cozies, you’ll definitely enjoy this; and if you’re looking for romance? You also definitely like this.

Thank you so much to Avon Books, Netgalley, and Meg Cabot for providing me with an ARC of Enchanted to Meet You to review!!

This was a super cute and festive read for fall/Halloween! This was my first Meg Cabot novel and I really did enjoy the writing style and dialogue.

Jess + Derrick were super cute and it felt like they clicked immediately. Adding in Esther + Gabby to the mix was a fun way to add childhood innocence into a normal paranormal(ish) romance.

I really enjoyed the witchy elements of the novel and seeing the whole world created by Cabot.

Knowing + loving all of this, the book fell a little flat for me towards the end of the novel. Some of the twists and turns of the novel felt forced and it didn’t really leave with an ending that made a lot of sense.

I still really enjoyed the novel and I definitely think this is a cute read if you’re looking to get into the spirit of the season- just expect so interesting turns to be taken towards the end of the book!

I tried to like this one, I really did. Everything between the FMC and MMC were happening just way too fast and inorganic in my opinion. Did not finish at around 50%

I may try to read another book in the future. But the writing and storytelling here just did not do it for me. I was really excited about some cute spooky vibes, and I'm sorry that it fell flat.

I suspect that this was a case of me, not the book.

I'm a long time Meg Cabot fan and I absolutely hoovered her books when I was younger - the Princess Diaries, the Mediator, etc.

Unfortunately, this one absolutely didn't work for me. Due to the unethical magic spell that our main character cast in her teens.

The main character cast a love spell on a boy as a teenager and proceeded to sleep with him. A lot. It's not a spoiler. And it's a very murky, icky consent area for me that wasn't expressing apologized for in a meaningful way, at least up until the 25% mark where I put the book down.

Also, for featuring a plus-sized protagonist, I found this one a bit mindlessly fatphobic in a really frustrating way.

So, what's it about? Jessica gets banned from the World Council of Witches for the spell that she cast when she was younger. So she goes about her days, living a magic-free life until a man that was described as a missing Hemsworth rolls into town and tells her that the apocalypse is nigh unless she stalks a fledgling witch at the local high school and gets her on board with saving their little town.

Toss in a gratuitous shake of mean girl behavior that really should have been left in high school and... that's it. That's where I landed.

I do get the impression that a lot of people will love the cutesy, coziness of this and so would I, had it not pressed all the wrong buttons. It also takes place in Autumn, nearing Halloween, which is the day all the bad stuff is meant to go down.

It was giving a plot worthy of a Buffy episode and felt like it could easily be grouped into a category with books like The Ex Hex. If that's your vibe, then this is the one for you.

The perfect soft, witchy read to enjoy during the spooky season! Based on the synopsis and cover, I knew this would be a sweet read and it did not disappoint! I can't wait until we get more books from this small town! As you can tell from all the exclamation points - I'm very excited for everyone to get around to reading this one.

It’s witching season.
Jessica has the weight of the world on her shoulder so she’s riding a little low on the broomstick. Can she save West Harbor and what is going on with Derrick?
It’s fast flirty read and will satisfy anyone who has an urgent need to be a witch.
I think Mia from Princess Diaries needs to meet up with Jessica!

I’ve made a habit of reading a witchy book each fall, and Enchanted to Meet You was my pick for this year. I was immediately drawn by the Taylor Swift lyrics in the title and the gorgeous purple cover.

I loved the character of Jessica Gold and that she was plus sized. I felt that this book read like a young adult book, but with a little more spice, which was a good balance. There were little related spells that started each of Jessica’s chapters and I thought that was a clever touch.

I do wish that the chemistry had been a little more sparkling between Jessica and Derrick. Also, I’m personally not a fan of plots that reunite high school rivals or lovers, or both in this case.

All in all, this was a fun, witchy read to get me in the mood for spooky season. A sincere thank you to Netgalley and Harper Collins for an electronic arc of Enchanted to Meet You. This review is my honest, unbiased opinion.

* I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley. Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for this book. All thoughts are my own.

3.5 stars

I was really enjoying this and thought I would give it 4 stars until I got towards the end. I expected some sort of big action scene and it just really felt like a let down. It didn’t seem to match the angst that led up to it. Other than that the characters were good, but I also really didn’t get any chemistry. I really badly wanted a romance between Derrick and Jessica but something just wasn’t working for me.

I guess I would recommend it but I would suggest borrowing from your library.

This book is absolutely adorable! It very much gives off Practical Magic vibes, with the perfect amount of cheesy, witchy vibes, easy-to-follow magic system, and sweet and thrilling romance. I was a HUGE fan of Meg Cabot’s YA books as a teen, and her adult work gives me the same comfortable, fuzzy feelings. It’s not the most deep, mind-blowing book you’ll ever read, but that’s really not what I’m looking for in a witchy romcom. All in all, this book was an absolute delight and the perfect read to start this spooky season.

This is a cute paranormal rom-com start to a new series. The story is interesting and the two main love interest characters are great. I did think the book was a little slow, but overall I definitely enjoyed it. Jessica is proud to be a witch, even if her heritage doesn’t have documented witches and she isn’t eligible for membership with the world council of witches. She and her best friend both are practicing cottage witches until one day the mysterious Derrick Winters comes to town telling Jessica she is the Chosen one and needs to find the Bringer of Light so that they can stop the from being destroyed. I liked that the story had a good bit of humor in it. The romance was ok for me but it wasn’t my favorite trope. Overall I gave this one 3.5 stars rounded up and I will keep an eye out for book two.

4/5 stars

I have always loved Meg Cabot, ever since the Mediator series and here she comes with another amazing book to add to the collection. We love the plus size representation in this. Jessica is my favorite with her quick wit and charm. The aspect of flipping back and forth between present and past added to the storytelling.

The story is witty, charming, fast paced for sure. if you love Meg and in the mood for a witchy read, this one is for you.

The title of this book is perfect in that this is an enchanting witchy romcom which delights from start to finish. Jess was banned by the world witchrs council (WCW) when she was in high school for a love spell gone wrong. She’s now back to her hometown to open a clothing shop. Things are going great in her town for her, but then Derrick from the WCW shows up and says she is the key to saving the town. There are shenanigans galore in this book and I am here for it. You can see that Jess and Derrick have chemistry and it’s fun to see them explore their feelings. The main part of the story though is saving the town which also includes having flashbacks to when Jess was in high school. It’s really a fascinating book with just having to work with both Derrick and Esther who is supposed to be the bringer of light as well as deal with her high school nemesis all while getting feelings for Derrick, who ends up having secrets of his own. I found a book to be interesting from start to finish, and I highly enjoyed all of the character arcs. This is one of my favorite witchy romances of the year.
