Thank you Net Galley and Harper Collins for the ARC,

One of my favorite Meg Cabot books growing up was Jinx, another witchy book. I loved it so much I kept borrowing for the library. So it feels very full circle for me to pick up a Meg Cabot book as an adult and it’s also a witchy book!!!

We follow Jess who got banned from the World witch council from doing spells when she was younger to years later a member from the council telling her he needs her help in saving her town because she is the “chosen one” this book was fast paced, funny, charming and very whimsical if you love Practical magic, the small magic town vibes of Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown, grimoires, small cats and prophecies you will eat this up. I felt like this book gave me a warm magical hug! Add this to your fall TBR.

I’ve been reading Meg Cabot’s books since I was 13 yo, there’s something about her books that feel almost like magic, the way she pulls us in from the very first chapter and keep us entertained throughout the whole book. It happened with The mediator series, Queen of Babbles, All american girl, and now it happed with Enchanted to Meet You.

From the very first page I was pulled in and I couldn’t stop reading until the very last page, I loved Jessica and Derrick, I loved the small town of West Harbor and I loved the story.

Jessica is a self taught cottage witch, she uses herbs and spices to make smalls spells that bring good fortune, wealth and even love, she’s the proud owner of a shop called Enchantment, where she works her special kind of magic selling all types of clothes for the people of West Harbor.

The book starts with Derrick showing up at Jessica’s shop and telling her she’s the Chosen One, the person who’s going to help the Bringer of Light, who just so happens to be a teenager girl, to come into her powers and save the town from the forces of demons.

Enchanting to Meet You was a very captivating book, I’m glad I gave it a chance, and I can’t wait to find out if Meg’s going to write more about West Harbor, I definitely wouldn’t mind finding out more about Jessica’s brother, Ethan.

Thanks Netgalley and Avon and Harper Voyager for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review

Can you imagine being a teenager and casting a spell on your crush? Only to have it come true 15 years later? This was such a cute read that had a great balance of love, comedy, and magic! I loved the banter between the characters and I often found myself laughing out loud. There is something about magic and witchy books that gets me so excited for Fall!

This was my first Meg Cabot read in a looooong time, and it was just as charming and fun as I remember her writing being. This was a quick and fun read with magical and witchy elements that make it a great choice for this upcoming fall. While there was nothing particularly groundbreaking, or that really stood out to me about this one I would recommend it to those who are fans of Meg Cabot or are looking for something cute with a witchy/paranormal touch.

As a teenager, Jessica cast a love spell. It was a disaster, and as a result she was banned from being a member of the World Council of Witches. So, she is shocked when a handsome WCW officer shows up at her door telling her she is the Chosen One and her help is needed to save her town. As Jess grapples with this revelation, she must work with the Bringer of Light to come up with a plan to save them all. Will she be able to survive this and prove she’s a worthy witch after all?

This was the cute and delightful witchy rom com that I needed in my life. I absolutely loved the characters and the plot. It was wonderfully paced, and it kept me wanting for more up until the last second. I loved that while the characters were well developed, there is plenty enough to learn in the next book of the series. I also appreciated that the characters seemed to be utterly realistic people. Not everyone is walking around with a 6-pack, and that was the case here. The characters had real bodies. I also loved the spice, it was very well written, and believable and not over the top. It wasn’t a closed door romance, but it wasn’t door wide open spice. The banter between the characters was fun and engaging, which I enjoyed.

Reading about magic and witches is so much fun for me, so if you’re looking for that with a bit of spice, then check this one out.

This book was a super cute, really fun and easy read. The characters were great. If you're going through Erin Sterling withdrawl this witchy book season, I feel like Enchanted to Meet You will fill the void. The literal only bad thing is that I sing Taylor Swift in my head every time I see the cover. (Not that I don't love Enchanted, but like, it's been a few days.)

I was so excited to get this to get this ARC copy because I’m a huge fan of Meg Cabot. I really enjoy the storyline. Jessica was a kind & generous character always looking on the positive side of things. I really love the character of Derrick. There was a bit of mystery behind his character When he comes on the scene you are not sure if he’s a good guy or bad guy and who's the mystery caller he works for. I really enjoyed the storyline. It is a closed door romance, but also bit spicy it might also be considered a fade to Black story. This is an adult romance. I wouldn’t encourage it for a young teen. There’s also small amount of foul language, which I’m not a fan of but aside from the language I really enjoyed the book.

I decided to DNF this at 52%—I was just not connecting to this whatsoever and I am not quite sure why.

Thank you for the pre-release e-arc.

Overall, I give this book a 2.75

This book, while adult, definitely gave a YA feel, which I'm okay with when it comes to witch-y Halloween books. It was cozy and cute. I enjoyed the representation of normal bodies (not everyone was described as insanely gorgeous with 6-pack abs, etc.), as it was refreshing. I would say the spice level is 0.5 out of 5. The plot and magic system were also refreshing, as it was not your standard "either you're born a witch or you're not a witch," type of situation. The banter was funny and the dual timeline/dual POV kept things interesting. Fun and entertaining but nothing outstanding.

Enchanted to Meet You was a really fun and cozy paranormal romcom. Jessica Gold realized she was a witch when she was in her early teens, basically memorized a spell book, and then just went about her life. Now she's in her 30s and running a popular clothing store when a witch named Derrick shows up and tells her she is The Chosen One and it's up to her to fix a rift that's going to destroy her town in less than a week. The story was fun, though the ending did leave a lot to be desired. I think it's good for readers who are interested in a lowkey read.

A cozy witch romance written by Meg Cabot?! SIGN ME UP!

I really enjoyed my time reading Enchanted to Meet You by Meg Cabot. It felt very much like a Meg Cabot book. It's funny, cute and filled with the perfect amount of romance.

I cannot wait to read more from this series.

A cozy, witchy romcom by Meg Cabot sounded right up my alley – but unfortunately, this book ultimately fell flat for me.

Though I really enjoyed the characters and much of the humor that Cabot brings to this story about a cottage witch who is suddenly told by a hot, dark stranger that she's the chosen one and needs to mentor a teenaged witch to save their town, the way the town was saved was extremely anti-climactic and quite disappointing after lots of build up.

And unfortunately, no matter how much I liked the small-town Connecticut setting and the main character and the precocious teenager savior, at the end of the book, the plot just didn't do them justice.,

Also: I can't decide if all the human men in the book constantly saying "bro" was pointed social commentary or not. (I want to go with yes, to be honest.)

I’ve been a fan of Meg Cabot since I was a child so when I heard she was coming out with an adult witchy rom-com I was so excited. Thankfully it did not disappoint!

Enchanted to Meet You has dual POVs and (for a bit) dual timelines. I really enjoyed the supporting characters and the town of West Harbor. It was a cozy and fun read perfect for fall. I only wish was the ending was a bit more climatic.

I’m so excited that this will be a series and can’t wait to see who the next book focuses on.

Enchanted to Meet You was a delight to read!

When Jessica Gold was a teen, she placed a spell that unknowningly to her at that moment, would change history. Fifteen years after that day, Jess is approached by a handsome warlock, Derrick Winters, to let her knonw she is the Chosen One. Jess has been selected to save her hometown of West Harbor by Halloween night. But will she be able to trust Derrick and all the World Council of Witches members who once despised her? Or will she be enchanted to meet Derrick and go all out in trusting him?

Meg Cabot's latest had some great elements: small town setting, witchy little tidbits at the beginning of each chapter, a plus size heroine and fun gang of characters. While I felt the story was a little slow pacing wise in the middle, overall; the chapters were well written out and had some fun cliffhangers. This was espeically true when Cabot would move back and forth between Jessica and Derrick's point of views. I recommend anyone who wants a fun witchy read to pick this one up and I cannot wait to read where Meg Cabot goes next with the series!!

"Enchanted To Meet You" is the ideal witchy romance choice for the spooky season. The book kept a smile on my face throughout, thanks to its heartwarming characters. Personally, I'd love to befriend Jessica and experience her magic in finding the perfect dress. The inclusion of subtle queer representation and the exploration of Connecticut's witch trials history added perfect layers to the story. While not a life-altering read, it certainly offered a charming and cozy escape within its pages.

This book was Gilmore Girls small town vibes meets Practical Magic. It was so perfect to read time at this time of year. From the very beginning it grabbed my attention and I found myself excited to continue to read the story to find out what happens next. They’re just enough suspense, humor and romance mixed together to make this a great fall read. I do wish the end had tied things together a little bit better. There seemed to be a big build up and then not much of an ending that tied the ends together.

* Enchanted to Meet You - Meg Cabot
* Pub Day: Sept 5, 2023
# Blurb:
"A witchy rom-com from New York Times bestseller
Meg Cabot about a plus size witch who must team up with a handsome stranger to help protect her village from an otherworldly force-but will she be able to protect her heart?"
# Thoughts:
SO cute! I really enjoyed this! This book was quirky, had plenty of laughable moments, but also had that "feel good" quality that keeps you engaged.
Jessica was fun, and relatable. I loved that she wasn't your "typical" heroine. She was very smart and kinda shy. But she finds her strength throughout the book, with the help of Derrick. What a dreamboat * I loved him! I liked that he came in and assisted Jessica and didn't try to steal her shine!
1 also LOVED the side characters. Esther was a WHOLE vibe. She was awesome and brought a lot of comedic relief.
Highly suggest if you like cozy witchy romances!
# Thank you @netgalley and @officialmegcabot for
allowing me to review this book! I hope there will be more books from this town!

This book was just what I needed as we transition into Fall, Halloween, and all things spooky! Jessica Gold is a clothing boutique owner in a small Connecticut town that has a long history of witches. From a young age, her and her friend Dina loved to practice spells. But one day, Jessica cast a spell that went disastrously wrong, and started a feud with another witch named Rosalie.

We also meet Derrick who was sent to save Jessica’s town from a devastating rift that was going to happen the night before Halloween. Jessica learned that it was up to her to save the town, as she was “the Chosen One”. Of course, Jessica and Derrick catch feelings for one another, so they have to decide whether they are going to give into those feelings or not.

I give this book 3 stars, because it was a super cute read and I loved following Jess’ character. I do wish the ending was a little more drawn out and we got to dive deeper into certain aspects of story, but overall I enjoyed it!

Thank you so much to Meg Cabot, HarperCollins, and NetGalley for a digital advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!

This is the first in a series about a small town in the north that has witches BUT everyone in the town is not aware of this little fact. I had a hard time connecting with the characters. Things in this book happened rather quickly in regards to the FMC and the MMC BUT the whole book was premised around this showdown that was supposed to go down between two witches and a big bad and then it just fell FLAT...like HARD flat. The "showdown" didn't even happen until 75% of the way through the book. I just felt like there was some room on the flow and structure of the story.

Jessica Gold is a cottage witch in the town of West Harbor. She runs a cute boutique downtown and mostly keeps to herself in regards to her powers after a disastrous love spell went awry when she was in high school. She is going along with life as usual when a Nordic god as she thinks shows up and tells her that the town is on the brink of disaster unless she (who is the Chosen One) can get a high school girl who doesn't know about being a witch to take the big bad down. Jessica and Derrick (Nordic god) have to work together to get the high schooler who doesn't know she is a witch to fight the bad guy. In the meantime, Derrick has nowhere to sleep. All the hotels are booked so close proximity trope happens which leads to them catching feelings and wondering what will happen when Derrick gets another call to save another town? Will they decide to take a change on each other?

Overall, this was just ok in my opinion. It had potential and to give it credit was an easy read but the characters and plot just weren't super engaging. Also the sex scenes were fade to black. Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher got an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Enchanted to Meet You by Meg Cabot
4/5 Stars
Thank you to NetGalley and Avon for my advanced copy in exchange for my honest review!

Like many girls my age, I grew up reading The Princess Diaries and obsessed with witches. When I saw that this book was essentially the combination of those two things, I knew I had to read it. Because let’s be honest, I still am waiting for the day when my witch powers manifest.

Jessica lives in a small town, has fabulous friends, a successful clothing shop, and is a witch. While she is barred from the World Council of Witches, for reasons she does not agree with, she is happy with her witchy life. Until suddenly, one day, handsome and mysterious Derrick comes to town. He brings his silver eyes and half answers about a town-wide upcoming calamity, and turns Jess’s world upside down. How can Jessica concentrate on saving her town when Derrick is just as distracting as he is helpful?

Generally, I enjoyed this book a lot. It was an easy read and the characters were engaging, particularly Jess. It jumps timelines slightly, which helped flesh out the world in the beginning, and helped me get into the story. While I did enjoy it, I felt the ending could have been a bit more detailed, and a few of the interactions felt a bit “easy”. These didn’t hinder my enjoyment too much, but I would have liked those sections of the story to be a bit fuller. However, one of the key mysteries of the book was solved in a clever way, and I felt the ending was very sweet. Anyone who is a Meg Cabot fan will be a fan of Enchanted to Meet You!
