Meg Cabot doing a witchy romance is exactly what I didn’t know I needed in my life. I am so glad this is a series and will be sharing on my bookstagram numerous times!

A witchy small-town romance book that's perfect for the fall! Jess is a cottage witch - not affiliated with the World Council of Witches in any way - who teams up with hottie Derrick Winters in order to save her town.

I’m a huge Meg Cabot fan; in fact, my favourite book series ever is The Mediator series. I even forced my fiancé to go to Carmel during our last US road trip so I could see where Suze and Jesse lived in real life! So you can imagine my excitement when I was offered an ARC of her new book. I was promised witches, romance, laughs and major fall vibes, and I wasn’t disappointed. This book is the best romance I’ve read so far this year.
I can’t express how much fun I had reading this book, and felt like I’d been transported back to my early teens when I read Meg Cabot’s other supernatural romances for the first time. The story centres on West Harbor, a small quaint village where strange things have been happening. Picture the town from the Gilmore Girls but with a boutique clothing shop run by a witch (our main character Jess). Everything is ‘normal’ until Derrick Winters comes along, and he reveals that Jess is the Chosen One and that she must work with Derrick and others to save her village and friends.
The chemistry between the couples and banter was *chef's kiss*. I loved every minute of this book and cannot wait for the next one in the series. Until then, I will have to console myself with re-reading the Meg Cabot’s other books.
Thank you again to Meg Cabot and Avon Books for giving me an advanced copy!

This was a delightful book! I really love Meg Cabot's style of writing. Her descriptions bring the settings to life and I loved the relationship of the two main characters. The dress shop was wonderful and so were the secondary characters. I also thought that the idea of having the women convicted of being witches in the 1600's exonerated was terrific. I will definitely give this book a shout out on my social media channels. Thanks for the advance read.

Thank you to Netgally for an early eARC of this new on by Meg Cabot.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story and all its characters. This story was cute but not overwhelming and super easy to follow. I loved all the characters and their friendships. The humor was super funny. The location was also well described. I read a lot of Meg Cabot's books when I was younger, so this felt like a blast from the past (in a great way). I do feel like the ending/climax was rushing a litte and I would've enjoyed seeing it flushed out a little more. This was a solid read, but it wasn't the best ever so I gave it three stars. I will definitely continue on with the series if she writes more.

Thank you Meg Cabot, Avon and Harper Voyager, and NetGalley for this arc in exchange for my honest review.
This was a fast paced and cute witchy read perfect for fall. The chapters were really short and plot moved along fairly quick. I will be honest and say that it did read a little more YA to me than adult. I would’ve enjoyed learning more about the magic system or at least more about the different classifications of which. However, it is the first book in the series, so maybe we will get to learn more about both of those in the coming books.

The element of believability needs to be present in every book no matter the genre and this was lacking. I had a hard time imagining the characters on this “mission to save the town” and it just came off like an overdone c-list level rendition of Sabrina the Teenage Witch… Jess the FMC even had a black cat 🐈⬛ the magic was missing 🪄

Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley and Avon Books! I was looking for a feel-good, cozy book, so I was thrilled to pick up this Meg Cabot book. I really enjoyed this read and found myself looking forward to diving deeper into each character. This is the perfect read for Fall, and I look forward to rereading it at that time and recommending it to others!

Enchanted To Meet You is classic Meg Cabot – a feel good romcom, with a dash of magical realism / paranormal vibes. Enchanted seems to set the stage for a new series in small town West Harbor Connecticut. A small New England town with history, charm and in this case witches too. This one reminded me a bit of her Heather Wells and Mediator series a bit.
Meg’s books always have some great female friendships (present – loved Dina and Jess), banter, cute funny moments, and a loveable and independent female lead. This story has some fun elements / tropes at play – magical realism a la ‘cottage’ witches, a Chosen One to save them all trope, and a he falls for the one he’s sent to save type element too.
I enjoyed the cozy small town feel, the realistic magical elements and the quirky sweet characters. I especially enjoyed the portrayals of our leading characters as authentic and normal-ish in looks, ability, etc. A charming, quick read – perfect to get in the mood for fall. I look forward to adding a copy to my physical collection and am already excited for the next book in the series - hoping that ending was a lead in on next books couple / cast. 😊
Thank you to the author, netgalley and publisher Avon Books for the opportunity to read an early copy! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Classic Meg Cabot! I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and am excited to explore more characters in future books. I love the witchy vibes and found the characters fun. I would have loved to see a little more development between the two leads - a few more dates or conversation, especially if he had shown up in town maybe a few days earlier? I will definitely be recommending this book when it is published in the Fall!

This was extremely fun and a great return to the classic Meg Cabot novel (I unfortunately haven’t loved all her recent works)- Size 12 is not fat energy. This is cozy fantasy-lite. The big conflict at the end is a bit underwhelming but I had a lot of fun with the settings and the characters.

This is a delight, and the perfect summer beach read. Jess lives in a small, historic seaside town among all the people she's grown up with. Evil forces seem to be threatening the town, and Jess, possessed of "powers" of her own (she might be a witch) is enlisted by a mysterious, newly arrived (and very handsome) stranger to help defeat those forces. Lighthearted, romantic, and full of fun and humor!

Give me ALLLL the fall vibes. This was my first book I’ve read by Meg Cabot and I cannot believe I didn’t read anything by this author any sooner! This is a paranormal, sweet rom-com based in the small town of West Harbor, Connecticut. The FMC, Jess, is a cottage witch and owns a cute little boutique called Enchantments. The MMC, Derrick, comes to West Harbor, from Montana, in hopes to help Jess, “the chosen one”, and Esther, “the bringer of light”, in saving their small town from the rift. If you’re a fan of witches, small town romances, and fake dating with HEA’s, this one is for you 🥰 This book was very plot driven with drama, romance, and LOL moments with dual POV’s and short chapters (HUGE plus for me), which made it a super quick and easy read. I just finished, and I want to read it ALL over again to feel everything I felt while reading this the first time.

I have loved Meg Cabot’s books since the first time I picked up The Princess Diaries almost 15 years ago, and she keeps writing delightful books! This witchy romance follows a pretty typical trope with a bit cosmic event happening that has the power to change everything, and Jessica, our heroine, might be the only one who can stop it! What I liked most was the flashbacks that helped illuminate Jessica’s history with the town, and gave a little twist to a well-loved witchy narrative.
As a side note, has anyone every noticed that every romance novel has a pet that notoriously hates everyone except it immediately takes to the love interest?! What a classic moment 😂

This was a cozy-witchy book that I couldn't put down. The main character is a strong female lead that uses her powers to help those around her. I enjoyed the mentorship in this book and how women were empowering women throughout the entirety.

meg cabot is one of my favorite writers ever because her books always make me feel like i’m wrapped in a warm blanket.
i was lucky enough to snag an arc for her new book, a witchy romance!!!, enchanted to meet you, and it was the perfect vacation read. headstrong mc, bad boy love interest with a secret, ✨magic✨, and the end of times?? sign me UP.
meg always does conflict well, to me. every chapter has some form of tension, whether it’s with the greater story arc or between characters. jessica and derrick were often in a push and pull with their feelings for each other, their approaches to saving west harbor, and how much they were willing to open up. i loved how jessica’s decisions were led by her heart, her empathy for others.
esther was one of my favorite characters, obviously. the ~bringer of light~ is smart, caring, sassy, and totally badass. she’s fearless! even when unsure, she knew her worth, her talent, and that she’d succeed if she tried.
derrick is no michael moskovitz either but i may be softening to the long haired biker guy thing. maybe. it’s a possibility. commanding but not overly dominant, intelligent, passionate. phew, i can get into that.
like many witchy romances i’ve read, the overall plot arc doesn’t necessarily feel as fleshed out as it could be—but that’s just me comparing it to the discovery of witches series tbh. i always hope for a little more context, history, or detail. this just isn’t that type of book. and i do feel like mayhaps the climax could have had a bit more umph.
overall, i was *enchanted* to read this one.

Myth: 3.5/5
A cute witchy romance that features democracy of magic. Jessica was an easy heroine to read. She was just trying to live her life in a small town on the east coast. While a practicing witch for most of her life, she’s certainly not used to some handsome stranger showing up to tell her she needs to help save the town from destruction.
Magic: 3/5
A dash of cottage witch vibe, a chosen one trope, and a lot of just believing in yourself and others.
Overall: 3.5/5
It was cute and a quick read. A perfect fall afternoon book with plenty of paranormal vibes to get you into the spooky spirit.

I don't normally seek out romance novels but this one caught me with the title (I'm a swiftie who loves "speak now" and this turned out to not have anything to do with any of that but that's okay!!). I love the cover. This turned out to be an easy and quick read for me with likable characters and a cozy setting. I loved Jess, I'm biased because I'm a plus-sized girlie myself, but anyone could relate! She's likable, strong-willed, fashionable, kind, and relatable. I can't wait to add this to our library cart. Thank you NetGalley and Harper Voyager for the ARC and the chance to review this book.

***Thank you Netgalley, Avon Books and Meg Cabot for the ARC. Opinions are my own.***
I ... had to think about this review. Growing up I ate everything Meg put out, so I was eager to get my hands on this one. I think maybe I was expecting too much because this one fell short, but lets get into it-
Jessica is a witch, her family doesn't really know, and she dabbled with it in high school only for it to essentially backfire when she had Billy fall in love with her. After that, high school enemy, Rosalie had a problem with her - after all she wanted Billy. Fast forward years later and Jessica moved back to her small town, into her childhood home and owns a witchy type store (crystals, clothing, etc). Then she meets Derrick, a handsome witch, who tells her essentially that her little town is in danger, she's the chosen one, she is the only one who can save the day - oh and they fake date but real fuck. They save the town, fall in love. etc etc.
I think the resolution came too quickly. There was no build up for me, I knew what to expect with this genre but it just ... fell flat. I thought it was a cute romcom but the magical element of Meg I grew up feeling was not in this one. I see this is part of a series so I may give the next one a try.

good romance and love that there are witches in this small town.. loved that she is helping to stop it along with a youth and trying to save the town. Great romance and sexy times. I adore reading meg cabot.
