I received this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
I LOVE Meg Cabot. I've been reading her books since they were first published and I'm living her new adult books as well. This was a fun Halloween read but don't limit yourself to only reading it then!
I liked the world built in this novel and look forward to reading more of the series!
I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.
Loved the Taylor Swift spin on this rom com. Thanks for allowing me an early read of Enchanted to Meet You!
Okay it took me a while to get into the story but after getting to the 25% mark it started to pick up. This book had all the perfect October vibes and the fact that it took place during and around Halloween time made it more enjoyable and ambient. I decided to give this book 4 stars because while it was enjoyable and well written i found myself struggling to get started with the story/plot.
I have read many other Meg Cabot books and I was so excited to read Enchanted to Meet You. With that said...this was not it. The plot was hard to follow and I found myself confused for a large portion of the story. Something also felt off about the love story...
Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for an ARC of this book, in exchange for my honest opinion.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an arch of this book. I loved all the witchy, cozy vibes of the book. It was so much fun.
I really wanted to like this book because it hit on so many elements I love, but there were several times I put the book down from the slow-pacing or lack of connection to the characters. The plot and romance (which had no chemistry) didn't come together for me and the ending anticlimactic.
Meg Cabot has a reader in me for life because of the way Princess Diaries changed my life at a young age. I will continue to read and support her always. This was a fun and silly read!
I read this for my October goal and let me tell you it was a blast. I loved the fantasy rom com feel and the romance was executed amazingly. I was definitely getting Taylor Swift vibes and perhaps that was the point considering the title. The humor hit well and I was enthralled with the relationship these two had.
This was a great mix of a fall, cozy romance, and a bit of mystery. Look no further for those who want a sweeter romance with a great plot!
This witchy romance was a little different for Meg Cabot. I highly enjoyed it! The characters were fun and complex and the story moved along well.
I love witchy reads so I was excited to get through this one this season. I loved the atmosphere of the book and the storyline!
4 stars
This was a cute and charming paranormal rom-com, perfect for spooky season! I loved the small town vibes and the premise was super fun; however, I found the plot to be difficult to follow at times with so much going on and the ending felt a bit rushed.
I completely loved that the romance was not the main focus and can’t wait for more from this author.
Thanks to Netgalley and Avon for the ARC
DNF at 10%. Started this a month ago, got 10% before I lost interest. Picked it up again and started from the beginning as it was not memorable.
This is a cute paranormal rom-com start to a new series. The story is interesting and the two main love interest characters are great. I did think the book was a little slow, but overall I definitely enjoyed it. Jessica is proud to be a witch, even if her heritage doesn’t have documented witches and she isn’t eligible for membership with the world council of witches. She and her best friend both are practicing cottage witches until one day the mysterious Derrick Winters comes to town telling Jessica she is the Chosen one and needs to find the Bringer of Light so that they can stop the from being destroyed. I liked that the story had a good bit of humor in it. The romance was ok for me but it wasn’t my favorite trope. Overall I gave this one 3.5 stars rounded up and I will keep an eye out for book two.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for allowing me to review this book.
This is cute and fluffy. Just what you'd expect from a Meg Cabot book. I will say I don't think it has the magic that some of her other books and series have, however.
Enchanted To Meet You by Meg Cabot (Witches of West Harbor,#1)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
What an enjoyable read filled with witchy and paranormal elements, grumpy/sunshine, and dual POV. My best way to describe the journey that takes place is that it gave me Disney channel movie vibes but add some spice. I loved the main character Jessica has the best personality as she’s relatable and funny. She sticks true to herself. It’s cute to see her first encounter with the grumpy/serious Derrick and how he slowly turns into the same sunshine she is. Also love how much Derrick loves for Jessica’s cat, Pye from day one 😻.
I would highly recommend checking the adventure of Jessica finding out she’s The Chosen One and the events that lead to her needing to save her town. This witchy rom-com is available to read now, and it’s the perfect time of year to check it out! I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Thank you to HarperCollins and NetGalley for a copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thanks to NetGalley for the eARC, Avon Books and Harper Voyager for the paperback ARC, and my library for the audiobook.

What I’m Starry-Eyed Over:
🤩 Dual POV.
🤩 Past and present chapters.
🤩 I thought I might be bored until Derrick had nowhere to stay. Forced proximity to the rescue!
🤩 Fake dating.
🤩 Love muffins! Seriously, the Mark part is my favorite part and made me laugh out loud.
🤩 Okay, that is my second favorite part.
🤩 My favorite part is Tim Paige as the MMC narrator. His voice works on me. The narrators are amazing storytellers.
🤩 At about 60%, the story finally drew me in and I finally felt a connection between the MCs.
🤩 The witchy book quotes are so fun to start each chapter.
🤩 The wolves.
What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About:
💫 The witchy story took me a while to get interested.
💫 The steam seemed weird between these two because I didn’t feel the physical attraction between them.
💫 Usually I love secret pining, but I didn’t feel it here without feeling their desire for each other.
This was a perfect Halloween read. It was witchy and slightly spooky but in a lighthearted way. We had romance, friendship and a full cast of characters. It didn’t fully hook me the whole time but I enjoyed it. Some open door scenes fyi. 3.5 stars.
First time reading a novel by Meg Cabot after decades of seeing her name pop up on reading lists and libraries. Based on the cover and the obviously referenced Taylor Swift lyric in the title, lead me to wanting to read this book. To be frank, I was very underwhelmed by this novel. Felt like the characters were very dry and lacked an character development. Happy to have read it, but not a book I would recommend to everyone.
