The characters were fascinating, with awesome chemistry, and were well developed. The romance was smokin'!

This was a good book overall but unfortunately it was too short for me I wanted more... Though the thought of a man like Chance knocking on my door would totally make my day lol....

Rachel is overwhelmed with her kids and household chores, grieving her late husband. Even in her despair, she remains resilient. Chance, upon meeting Rachel, feels a protective urge he's never experienced. He supports her without overstepping. Their love story blossoms under unique circumstances: Rachel's chaotic home life and Chance's initial investigation into a suspected kidnapping. Despite the odds, the two form a deep connection in this blend of humor, romance, and a hint of danger. This tale seamlessly shifts between endearing moments and passionate intensity, making for an engaging read.

A baby has been kidnapped and a nurse has gone missing, ex FBI agent Chase has come to the sister of the missing nurse to see if she knows anything about what her sister may be doing but Rachel is a widowed mother with young twin boys and no idea what her sister has gotten mixed up in
I liked both Chase and Rachel as characters, they are independent in their own ways but once Chase starts to break down Rachel’s defences and she starts to slowly let him in then their bond and how they work together to look after her boys gets stronger and stronger
I enjoyed this book but there was something that I wasn’t sure about. I can’t properly put my finger on what it was but I think that they didn’t always seem like real people. They both had struggles in their pasts that has shaped who they are but at times they seemed a bit flat and I struggled to bond with them
However, even with all the issues I had with it, I did enjoy reading this book and the more I read the more I stated to see Chase and Rachel’s relationship develop and they became more genuine to me
I would recommend this book to those who enjoy a romance full of emotions and the reality of like with twin babies but which will pull you in and have you hooked

The FBI Agent’s Reluctant Love is the 3rd book in the Denver Mes series. I have not read any of the other books so it took me a few pages to catch up on the story. Chance and Rachel are instantly attracted to each other and Rachel is impressed by how great Chance is with her twins.

A big thank you to NetGalley and Relay Publishing for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is part of a series, that should probably be read in order. It is a continuation of the first book. It can be read as a stand alone but I think it makes more sense if you read them in order. This is story of Rachel and Chance. Chance is ex FBI. It is a bit convoluted, but it is almost insta-love. It is a quick cute read. Perfect for the beach. 3.5 stars

Chance a former FBI agent shows up at Rachel’s door who is a single mother raising twin boys after losing her husband who was also an FBI agent. She is having a losing battle with the boys and as much as she does not want Chance to be there to help she finds herself torn because she likes it and finds herself able to sleep. He even takes care of her two boys and gives her a spa day. He does want help with the case of the kidnap baby and Marco Bresi but really this book is about the two of them and Chance being someone different than most of this author's characters. I found myself enjoying this book a lot and is very much worth the read.

This was the third book in this series. You get to see how Chance found the woman for him. He didn’t know that it would come with so much he had been missing in his life, but he is up for the challenge and ready to start living the life he was destined to. I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

FBI Agent's Reluctant Lover by Leslie North.
Denver Men #3.
Single mother Rachel has enough on her plate with two rambunctious twin boys to raise. Still mourning her husband, she isn’t looking for romance—until Chance, a strikingly handsome ex-FBI agent, shows up at her door.
Really good read. Loved Rachel and Chance story. 5*.

Rachel is a single mother of twin boys. Her husband was killed in Afghanistan while in the military before the boys were born. Rachel has decided that she is not willing to risk her heart on a man with a dangerous job.
Chance is a former FBI agent but now freelances for his brothers security company. He meets Rachel when her sister helps his brother find a kidnapped baby. While she's gone, Chance helps Rachel with the twins.
Rachel starts falling for Chance but pushes him away. But Chance does not give up easily and even though he never expected to have a ready made family, he finds himself wanting this family. He just has to convince Rachel.

Good story. Short. Sexy. The only thing is that I felt like I was dropped in the middle of the story. It's best to read the first one first.

This is a Romantic Suspense, and this is the third book in the Denver Men series. This is a fast moving steamy Romantic Suspense. I found parts of this book to be weird and unreal. I have twin boys and my husband is a truck driver, so he is not home a lot I understand how tired and overwhelming having newborn twin babies are. I still would not let a man I did not know in my house, and he would not put a hand on my babies. I felt too many things in this book moved too fast and unreal. That is what upset me about this book. I did like the characters, and I felt there were some really cute moments in this book. I wish there was more suspense and built up in this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher or author (Leslie North) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

The writing was great and very easy to follow however sometimes it felt like there was something the reader was supposed to know but we hadn't be told anything so it was confusing at times too.

The romance just wasn't believable for me and things progressed way too quick, I understand this is a sort of novella but still they moved very quickly, especially with children involved, I like my romances a little more realistic.

This book doesn’t add anything to the story. It’s about Seth’s brother and Chelsea’s sister, how she is overwhelmed with her twins and he steps in and helps her. That’s it.

This is a great addition to the Denver Men series. I loved the way Chance saw Rachel as someone he wanted to explore a future with her and her twin boys. The story tugs at your heart strings when learning Rachel is widowed with twin boys who never met their father before he was killed in the war. Kids always add a little something special to love stories. The attraction is strong and they have their HEA. It’s a great story that is worth reading.

Leslie North's FBI Agent's Reluctant Lover is a heartwarming tale of love and rediscovery, featuring a single mother, Rachel, and a dashing ex-FBI agent, Chance. The novel balances romance and suspense as Chance becomes entangled in Rachel's life while working on a kidnapped baby case that started in book one of the series.

North excels at creating a touching story with relatable characters, allowing readers to sympathize with Rachel, a widowed single mother trying to raise her twin boys. Chance's charm and kindness shine through as he offers help to Rachel, allowing their connection to develop. The chemistry between the two characters is palpable, and the emotions they experience throughout the story are genuinely conveyed.

However, there are aspects of the novel that could be improved. Rachel's character tends to be overly trusting, particularly considering her past experiences and the fact that she has two young children to protect. This aspect of her personality contradicts her otherwise strong and resilient character. Additionally, the relationship between Rachel and Chance develops rapidly, making it difficult for the reader to believe in the depth and sincerity of their connection fully. Additionally, this is the third book in the Denver Men series, and if you haven't read the previous books, you may feel like you missed some of the story.

Despite these criticisms, FBI Agent's Reluctant Lover remains enjoyable, with a captivating plot and well-drawn characters. The novel's blend of romance and suspense keeps the reader engaged, and the emotional journey of both protagonists adds depth to the story. This book is recommended for fans of romantic suspense. However, readers may find some aspects of the story less than satisfying. FBI Agent's Reluctant Lover earns a solid 3 stars out of 5. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the free e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this eARC.

This is another enjoyable short read following on from the previous book featuring Chase and Rachel who are both likeable characters. Their romance is the main focus of the story here and I liked that both of the main characters told the story from their perspectives. The writing is good and whilst the book didn't wow me, it is nevertheless still a good read which ends well and leads nicely onto the next book. Having got to know the characters so far I will definitely want to read the next book to see what happens. I don't think this can be read on its own, I think you're best to read this series in order to get to know the characters from the beginning.

What do you get when you cross a single mother with a FBI agent? A story that is about to have you wanting turning the next page and find out what is a read that you are going to want to read to the end.

Rachel is a single mum with two boys, Chase has a case to solve (that does remind me a bit of a sort police pup) but together will they find the answers Chase needs and maybe find love along the way?

The only way to find out is by reading Leslie's new novel.

A well written, fast paced story with strong characters that weren’t looking for love but end up falling for each other and being supportive of one another. It’s a short story with good dialogue and interactions, moves quickly but smoothly and it is a good read.
