This is the first I've read from this series and I'll be going back to read the others. I enjoyed all aspects of this story - the suspense, the plot twists, Ashley and Nate's romance and Ashley finally finding out what happened with her long lost father. Great character-building, humor, suspense and a bit of a tear-jerker at the end.

A big thank you to NetGalley and the author for the eARC. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. This is the third in a series. I have not read the others. This reads well as a stand alone. Ashley is a cop that got shot on the job, so is now on sabbatical. While recovering she works at a Private Investigator's office and works on a missing person case. This is a cute, cozy/suspense. I liked all the characters, although communication would have helped them a bit. There is a love interest and some paranormal. 3.5 stars. This is a fun series, and I would gladly read the next book.

Thank you so much NetGalley, the publisher and author Gail Chinese, for granting me an advance copy of this book in return for my honest opinions.

Lost in the Dark is book 3 in the Camden Point Romantic Suspense Series, but it can be read as a stand-alone novel. I have not read the first two books in the series and thoroughly enjoyed the book. I will definitely be reading the first two books in the series.

The book contains first of all mystery related to a missing girl. It also has romance, humor and an added plus with a touch of paranormal.

The main characters, Ashley and Nate are amazing. I loved the settings, descriptions and the mystery had me guessing at every turn.

Expected publication June 29, 2023

I received this ARC from Netgalley and the publishers in exchange for an honest review. This is the third in the “Camden Point” series. I have really enjoyed this series so far. The characters are full of life and substance. Plenty of thrilling moments to keep the story flowing smoothly and interestingly. A great edition if you love romantic suspense. Ashley was shot on the job as a cop and died but was able to be revived. When she was recovering from her shooting, she found out that she could talk to ghosts. While she is on sabbatical in Camden Point, she turns up a dead body. In the process, she meets Nate Daines, the town’s police detective. Nate decides to allow Ashley to help him solve this case and the case of some missing women from town. As they start to work together, Nate realizes that he is falling in love with Ashley, and that is when the chemistry between the two starts to bubble. Will Ashley feel the same for Nate? Will they be able to solve the dead woman’s case? Pick this book up and find out how it all ends.

I received a copy of Lost in the Dark by Gail Chianese from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This novel was okay, but I was not captivated and felt no connection to the characters or the plot. The summary seemed interesting, but the novel’s pacing was uneven, the plot was very predictable, and the characters were kind of flat. Just not my cup of tea.
