Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Books for providing me with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman is the seventh book in the Salem B&B series. This time, the murder occurs in a movie theater. The murder victim's popcorn has been poisoned and the most likely suspect is her husband. Charlene Morris, owner of a haunted B&B, investigates. The B&B ghost helps Charlene with her investigation. The main characters (Charlene, Jack the ghost and Avery) are pleasant, which is one excellent aspect of the book. The storyline is great and well written. It unfolds at a nice pace and keeps you hooked. The supernatural elements are not exaggerated and add to the series' charm. Highly recommend.

A renovated movie theater readies to open in Salem with a varied bill of classic movies on certain nights, as well as current films. Unfortunately during the soft open attended by Charlene Morris, someone chokes on popcorn and later does. This leads to another case where our astute heroine gets involved in the case along with her stalwart posse, including Jack , the resident ghost in her B&B. This excellent series manages to creatively ground the paranormal elements while serving up intriguing mysteries. As with all the best cozy series, the mystery is balanced by the ambiance and secondary characters that you care about and want to keep revisiting.

This definitely would make a great Halloween read even though it takes place in June. It was cool how a couple of the guest characters’ lives seemed to take on characteristics of the wolfman kinda mirroring the movie that’d been shown at the newly reopened theater.

Avery’s come such a long way in the short two years she’s been working for Charlene and I know going to college is gonna be hard for both of them. Luckily she’s going in state. Avery’s boyfriend was too cute and they made an adorable couple. I really like Seth’s mom, Dani, and I feel she and Charlene are gonna be close friends.

There was a great twist toward the end that I never saw coming! What a showdown full of excitement and some sadness too. I can’t wait to see how things are going for our fave characters when the book 8 comes out in February. (It’s mistakenly listed as book 3 on Amazon.)

I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC of this book provided by Kensington Cozies via NetGalley, and my opinions are my own.

Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman by Traci Wilton takes us to Salem, Massachusetts where Charlene and Avery are getting ready to view Lon Chaney in The Wolfman. Darren and Elise have renovated (resurrected) an old movie theater. The Spellbound Movie Theater will feature Darren’s creative seasoned salts which will be served with fresh popped popcorn and locally made soft pretzels. Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman is the seventh A Salem B&B Mystery and it can be read as a standalone for those new to the series. The main characters (Charlene, Avery, Jack) are developed and realistic. I love Avery’s enthusiasm. Avery is going to make an excellent police officer (I have a feeling that it will not take her long to become a detective). I normally have an easy time reading the books in this series, but I found myself struggling this time around. There were some aspects of the book that I found disturbing (not in a fun way). I enjoyed the descriptions of Charlene’s B&B as well as the movie theater. The mystery was unique for a cozy mystery as well as a little odd. I liked the way the victim was killed. There are a large handful of suspects. The details of the crime such as the suspects and how the victim died are rehashed multiple times (I got it the first time). The crime can be solved long before the reveal if you pay close attention to the details (an episode of CSI that I watched many years ago gave me a leg up). I did find the reveal to be a tad longwinded and dramatic. There was one aspect that I wish had not been included. I did tire of Sam warning Charlene and Avery to stay away from the theater and suspects (wild horses could not keep them away from trouble). I enjoyed Jack’s input. His background was helpful. The epilogue helped wrap things up. I am probably in the minority, but I am not a fan of Sam for Charlene. I feel she needs a modern version of Jack. Someone who appreciates her intelligence and enthusiasm for mysteries (not someone who tells her to keep away from the whodunits). I like how the author tied the mystery to Lon Chaney’s The Wolfman. Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman is a hair-raising tale with a magnificent movie theater, appetizing popcorn, a poisoned partner, ghost stories, tasty seasoned salts, startling suspects, and a howling whodunit.

The coziness just gets better and better with each installment and I already want the next installment. This series is always PERFECT for Spooktober as it is based in Salem, MA, has ghosts, a small town setting and of course mysterious murders to be solved.

This time around Charlene finds herself in the middle of a murder that happened while at the movies. All the regular players are back but we also get to see more of Avery, which I love. I'm especially liking where this is leading with Charlene and Sam but have to wonder about Jack and where he will fit. Always enjoy his parts in the books.

This can be read stand-alone but after you read one you will want to go back and grab the rest. It's just fun and spooky and I'm here for it all. If you have ever been on the fence about cozy mysteries but really want to try one ... grab this series (or even this book) and enjoy!

I sincerely appreciate Kensington Publishing and NetGalley for the review copy. All opinions expressed are my own.

Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman is book #7 in the Salem B&B Mystery series by Traci Wilton.

This is such an entertaining series and it keeps getting better with each book!
I enjoy the Salem setting and the reopening of the theater. The mystery was interesting and I enjoyed trying to solve it before it was revealed. The main draw for me are the characters. I’ve read the whole series and it is fun seeing how they have developed. I recommend this book and whole series.

Thank you to the author, Kensington Books, and NetGalley for the Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Charlene Morris is back taking on a new murder mystery. We get all our favorite characters back, and get to meet new ones as well. What I love the most is Charlene's interactions with not only Jack and Avery, but her guests at her B&B as well. Plus, we get Sam and Silva back, too!
Traci Hall and Patrice Wilton have written Charlene as a character that you grow to love more and more with each new book. Her curiosity and need to help others makes Charlene the perfect mystery solver.
When tragedy strikes during a soft opening of a new movie theater, Charlene is right there lending a helping hand, and combing through all the suspects. If this series ever ends, I will be so sad. This series has been one I have grown to love tremendously.

What a delight to read Tracie Wilton's newest addition to her Salem B&B series, #MrsMorrisandtheWolfman #NetGalley. This delightful paranormal cozy series is at the top of my list. I have enjoyed each one, but this one is the most suspenseful and action oriented yet!
Charlene is supporting her new friends' theater venture with one of her chosen family members when the unthinkable happens. She is pulled into the investigation against the wished of her resident ghost, Jack and Sam--the flirty Detective friend.
The characters show growth in every addition, the setting remains warm and inviting---despite the spooky vibes, and this mystery is the most difficult to solve. I had my suspicions but I did not guess correctly. This can be read as a standalone, though I urge you to begin at the start in order to become acquainted with the characters and all their quirky habits.
Thank you #NetGalley, #KensingtonCozies #KensingtonBooks #TracieWilton for the opportunity to read and honestly review this book. I can't wait to tell my friends about it!

This is my first time reading The Salem B&B series. I found that this book can be a stand alone read .

In book #7 , Charlene Morris decides to take the night off and watch a double feature at the newly opened theatre in her town . When one of the owners of the theatre is killed- Movie by Popcorn is in the spotlight. Now Charlene is out to find the murderer with a little help from her friendly B&B ghost .

I enjoyed the story and found the characters quirky and entertaining.
I will definitely go read the others books in this series.

I just reviewed Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman by Traci Wilton. #MrsMorrisandtheWolfman #NetGalley

I think I might be done with the Mrs Morris series from this author. The last few books have been very lackluster for me, this one included.

Each new Mrs. Morris mystery offers a new myth up to the reader for evaluation - ghosts, witches, vampires, leprechauns, and now the wolf-man. Are they myths or is there something to the stories.
The Salem B&B mysteries are quirky and the mystery portion well woven.
I want to visit Salem Massachusetts even more because of this series. I want to stay in a B&B because of this series.
I enjoyed reading Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman. I didn’t figure out who done it, but I kept having inklings that there was more to certain characters than I understood.
Thanks to Netgalley and Kensington Cozies for the chance to read this book.

Mrs Morris and the Wolfman by Traci Wilton, the seventh in the Salem B&B mystery series, will
sweep you away on a delightful adventure into the world of mystery, mayhem, and the supernatural. Charlene has an evening off to attend the opening of a new local theater when the wife of the owner is murdered. With the help of Jack, Charlene delves into the case of the Wolfman, and draws you into a web of secrets, twists, and turns guaranteed to keep you guessing until the very end.

The author seamlessly integrates paranormal elements into this cozy mystery adding an extra layer of intrigue, giving the story a unique and captivating edge. As the eerie occurrences unfold you'll find yourself engrossed in a world where magic and reality intertwine. (I reviewed an advance reader copy and all opinions are my own.) Prepare to be whisked away for a howling good time, and don't be surprised if you find yourself eagerly awaiting the next installment in this enchanting series

Charlene attends a double feature at the newly renovated movie theater. What she didn't expect was to find herself involved in another murder case. The theater owners are a husband and wife team. Well, they were until the wife was found murdered.
The prime suspect is Darren, her husband. Would he have a reason to kill his own wife? Always other suspects to look into.
With the help of her ghost Jack, Charlene is once again investigating.
This story kept me guessing until the end. A fun, enjoyable read.

Thank you NetGalley and Kensington Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

When Caroline and Avery attend the opening of Darren and Alyssa‘s movie theater they’re very excited they’re going to see the Wolfman. Right when they arrived so does Claire Maxwell, Darren‘s salt agent from Chicago and she has a bouquet of Wolfbane with her. Even though Charlene thought of the bad idea to bring poisonous flowers she knows that doesn’t the only reason Elise has a disdainful tone to her voice when addressing the woman. Later on that night when Elise is talking to her sister Patty about the problems her and Darren are having Charlene blows it off but later on when Elise passes out and they soon find out she was murdered the innkeeper starts to rethink the whole night. It seems everyone is a suspect including Avery‘s special friend who worked at the theater Seth and Elisa‘s sister Patty who owns a bakery in Salem when they find out who did it however it will be after another tragic event. There is so much to this book and I didn’t want to give anything away because I love these books and I love Charlene and Sam I love the resident ghost Jack I think Tracy Wilton has a great knock for making lovable characters but I do think the culprit in this book came out of nowhere and I almost fell disappointment but loving these books the way I do I would still definitely highly recommend it they’re fun sweet and deadly my favorite combination I want to think Net Galley and the publisher for my free arc copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

One of the few series that I've kept up with and still 100% love, the characters, the mystery, the town , everything just keeps getting better with each book

Mrs. Morris and the Wolfman is Book 7 in the Sale B&B Mystery series by Traci Wilton.

This is such a fun, unique series that I absolutely LOVE!

The main character, Charlene Morris owns a bed and breakfast in Salem and has a ghostly friend that occupies the bed and breakfast.

There is a new theatre in town and Charlene is excited to get to attend a pre-screening of a double feature at the new theatre. The owners of the theatre are a husband and wife.

Unfortunately, one of the owners, the wife, turns up dead and Charlene and Jack start to investigate.

I love the characters and the interaction between Charlene and Jack.

The mystery was so great, I think I am a pretty good amateur sleuth, but didn't guess who the murderer was.

I really enjoyed the Epilogue and cannot wait for the next book in this series.

Who would and did poison Elise's popcorn? And why? Charlene finds herself working through suspects for who wanted Elise, recently returned to town with her husband and owners of a movie theater, dead. Not, she thinks, Elise's husband Darren. Jack, the ghost who lives at her B&B agrees but then they learn more about the couple. It's not an especially complicated mystery but I'm a big fan of this series because of the characters- especially Jack. Yes, he's a ghost but he's not a woo woo ghost. And he's a hoot. This is a genuinely amusing series and this installment, like the others, should be fine as a standalone. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A fun cozy read.

This is truly the most ridiculous of the bunch of these in terms of thinking a building is evil and murdering people because it's haunted. I definitely believe in ghosts but the theories tossed out by the characters about supernatural kills was just too cheesy for me to grasp. However, the plot twist on the whodunit was SO GOOD I am still giving this book four stars. I realize this is a niche genre trying to tie cozy mystery to the mythical and supernatural so I applaud the authors ability to keep it interesting. Made me want some garlic popcorn fairly badly. I am interested to see who Mrs. Morris and...next!

My thanks to Kensington Cozies publishing and Netgalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
