I was immediately intrigued by the summary, and the cover. I’m a huge fan of dystopian YA and Intercludae delivered.
In the isolated city of Lexum, following your heart's desire against the will of the collective could be deadly. But for seventeen-year-old Breel Sorep, the urge to express herself is just too tempting.
The world building and story building was amazing and well written/ thought out. Something that I always look for is the believability of a fantasy/dystopian world, and this worked. The character development and chemistry was perfect. It’s easy to dissociate with some characters in books, but I found myself loving them and enjoying their story/development.
I don't think there was really much that I didn’t enjoy about the book- but something was just slightly missing to give it a 5 star, and I did find it a tad juvenile, but perfect for YA. Wouldn’t recommend it if you're not into the YA genre but definitely a great read if you are!

Thank you to NetGalley and Lava Lake Books for sending this book for review consideration! All opinions are my own.

I really tried to get into this book because it could be such a great book. But. The way the names are spelled was too much for me, I couldn’t figure out if I was supposed to be pronouncing them a different way or if they were just spelled like that to be unique. It kept breaking me out of the story because I focused too much on the names.
One of the characters names is Trafis.
Is that supposed to be pronounced Travis or traveese?? Giving four stars because, I think if you can get past the names, it will be a great book.
