I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. I love that this book was designed for groups but still able to be used by solitary witches as well. I do enjoy like that the books is broke up in to chapter for each month of the year. If you get the book you can start at the month you get it or receive it. I found each chapter helpful in its own way.
A great resource for those looking to either start a coven or to better have theirs come together. Easy to follow guides and something for every day of the year or just for when you all meet up.
I love Deborah Blake's books and I always learn something new even if they are targeting the beginners. There's a lot to learn and it's a good reference.
An excellent and informative book
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the publisher for this ARC, all opinions are mine
I wish this title said beginner or starting out somewhere. This book covers a broad range of topics with great information if you are someone new to practicing witch craft so for that i will give it 5 stars because I do believe that it who this book is targeted for. If i was a beginner just starting out I think I would have found this book helpful in clearing up a lot of confusions and plan to recommend it to people who as for book recommendations on these subjects.
This was a very introductory look at sabbats and moon rituals. It was structured well and has some nice suggestions for rituals, but I had been hoping for something a little more advanced or something with newer information or ideas.
Arc netgalley review
This book hold its own, the author knew their information and delivered it with quality. I’ve read this author before and have never found her book to be always packed full of knowledge. I highly recommend this author and this book.
Circle,Coven and Grove is an excellent beginners manual for those seeking to take part in group work as a part of their witchcraft journey.
Where this work shines
-Could Sabbat and Esbat resource
-Excellent Spell work correspondence Appendices
Where this work might not be the best fit
-skews heavily toward Wiccan and Neo Wiccan work so those wanting to build away from these traditions may not find much for them here
Who I recommend this title for
Witches just starting out or wanting to move from a solitary path to a group practice will greatly benefit from this resource.
A cute beginner's guide to practicing witchcraft with a coven, this book is something I wish I'd had when I was younger. So many books are for the solitary practitioner, this was a great break and reminded me that I'm not the only person who craves community. Definitely skews toward Wicca, but there's still a lot of good information for the non-Wiccan practitioner, I love Deborah Blake and can't wait to see what else she puts out.
