3.75/5 stars! This is the first book in the Evorath series by author Joseph Maccolino. I really enjoyed the fantasy aspects of this story. The author did a great job of creating an intriguing world and a diverse cast of characters. I also found the action scenes well-written and detailed. My only gripe with this book was the romance aspect. I just didn't buy the chemistry between Artimus and Savannah. I think the story would have felt more believable if romance had been saved for the next book so it could develop instead of this "we care but aren't together cause the world is ending but now we're back together" energy.
I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Unfortunately this got into my spam mail and never got to read it, I know I should have checked it but still I'd like to point it out. By the time I wanted to read it it was no longer available.
Thank you to NetGalley and Free Dragon Press,LLC, 2nd edition for the opportunity to read rate and review this arc which is available now
This was an okay fantasy read. It was fun fast and then forgettable. It’s a read once then forget about it kinda deal.
This high fantasy is so good. I highly enjoyed this and it was very enjoyable and entertaining. I can't wait for the next book in the series, I am completely vested in this now.
