moving into their dream home in a lovely neighbourhood Jenna and Oliver are happy. Soon Jenna becomes pregnant but why does she remember giving birth to her baby and everything being okay, when her husband tells her her baby is dead?

This is a tense and full of twists psychological thriller, told from multiple points of view to keep the reader guessing; this really had me looking in all the wrong places.

This was a fantastic read and I look forward to reading this author again.

In this neighborhood, who can you trust? Are your friends really your friends?
Jenna and Ginger switch timelines in past and present throughout the book. Then there’s a couple of chapters from Andrea thrown in toward the end with ever present appearances by Peyton that are woven in…all of this configuring to quite the #psychogicalsuspense book that I love. The twists had my head struggling to know who to be believe, really takes force in the second half at crazy intense speeds. #TheHomemaker will keep those minds guessing & left with a sense of completeness by the end!
Thank you, @authorsharijryan, @Bookouture, & @netgalley for my copy! All opinions are my own. Thank you, #Bookouture, for including me on the tour!

The Homemaker is a very good psychological thriller filled with lots of suspense. With three main female characters you really won’t know who to trust. The book contains quite a few characters and it did take me a few chapters to get to know who everyone was, but once I did that the story flowed excellently. Jenna has supposedly given birth to a baby boy called River but what has happened to him as there doesn’t appear to be any sign of her newborn. From the very start I was rooting for Jenna but couldn’t figure out what was going on. Ginger and Peyton are the other female main characters and what is their connection to all this ? I loved each chapter pertaining to these characters and trying to figure out it all. Overall this is a great read that will have you frantically turning the pages trying to work everything out.

What a wild and crazy rıde this one is! The story is about three women, Peyton, Ginger, and Jenna, who are all neighbors on Sapphire Road in the quaint town of Larkspur, Delaware. And life there seems destined to unfold in the most unusual way possible.

Jenna and her husband Oliver are starting a new chapter in their life by purchasing a home on Sapphire Road. It's a family neighborhood where everyone watches out for everyone else and milestones are celebrated by the community. But it's not long before Jenna learns that Sapphire Road holds secrets that could threaten her ideal life.

Compelling, grıpping, and masterfully told, this one will keep you guessing. Just when you think you’ve figured it all out, another shocking twıst pops up to prove you wrong. Perfect for a Lifetime Movie Network main feature, this psychological thriller is a shocking, edge-of-your-seat, adrenaline-fueled read. If you’re at all a fan of the genre, you'll want to run to the 1-Click and start reading this one today. But you may want to leave a light on.

The Homemaker is one twisted tale where you aren't sure who your enemies or friends are. Is the suspicious neighbor or your new bestie the evil one or could it be your husband that you pledged your heart to? Maybe it's none of the above and you are just crazy. The Homemaker brings you to a little neighborhood where everyone seems to be great friends and always watching out for one another. But there's something dark lurking in this happy little neighborhood.
First, we meet Ginger who lives a lone, while something has happened to her husband but no one ever speaks of it. However, it has caused her 4 sons to break ties with her. It has also left her a bit paranoid.
Then there's Peyton just completely perfect right down to her ponytail, except she's unsure how to be the perfect wife to her husband that works extremely long hours.
And the new neighbor is Jenna, who is a child-law attorney. She wants to grow her career before having a baby. But now that they have moved into a family oriented neighborhood her husband, Oliver, wants to move up the time line. And to Jenna's surprise she somehow ends up pregnant after taking all precautions.
That is when all the craziness begins!

It took me half the book to get my head in the game.
Finally, the facts began to fit together in some semblance of a story.
The second part of the book was the best as secrets are revealed and the real secret is left untouched.

The Homemaker by Shari J. Ryan had me at the edge of my seat from start to finish. Full of twists and turns, we meet the three-story narrators/point-of-views who live in the same neighborhood told in past and present. We meet Jenna and Oliver who are expecting their first child and after the birth, Jenna is shocked to learn her child was stillborn. She is then determined to find out what happened. We learn slowly from Jenna, Peyton, and Ginger, what has been happening/happened, but who do we believe? I kept guessing until the very end. Be ready for quite a ride!

Happy reading!

"Jenna, I need you to tell me the truth right now. Was it you who killed him?" Wow, it's not everyday your mother accuses you of killing your child is it?

I've read many of Low's historical fiction novels via Bookouture, so was intrigued to read The Homemaker, her first venture into psychological thriller writing.

The story is narrated from the POV of three women who reside on Sapphire Street, Lakespur, Delaware. It seems a friendly, welcoming community - but there are secrets, lies and three totally unreliable woman telling the story - who do you trust?

I got so tied up in the story that I managed to lose several hours of sleep, but it was definitely worth it, this was a fantastic thriller, which I really enjoyed.

BOOKWORMS REVIEW: Firstly,be mindfulness Trigger warnings in this one,it deals with drug abuse, infant loss, mental health, infertility etc.. In saying that this is Shari's first thriller and is a good read. The story of newcomer to the street Jenna, and already residents Peyton and Ginger. Peyton is dealing(or not dealing) with the loss of her and Olivers son River..and he admits her to a health centre. Back on the street we see the fractured friendship between Peyton and Ginger. All is not well there either. It's one of those secrets and people who aren't who they seem books. Told in several points of view it will hold your attention once you can keep track of whats going on. Having guessed one part correctly I was surprised I didn't guess the rest. Many thanks to Bookouture NetGalley and Author Shari J. Ryan for an advanced reading Copy.

I've seen a real buzz around this book so was eager to read it.

Nosey neighbours, pregnant women, a husband who disappeared and a recent sudden accidental death - just some of the ingredients for this fast and thrilling psychological thriller.

I'm not especially a fan of thrillers involving pregnancies, but this does it really well. It builds on ideas of motherhood, neighbourliness, and the life roles of women in connection to their men and their children.

It's fast and gripping right from the start. I could see were the main plot was going from early on, but there are plenty of layers and plenty of twists.

It sits comfortably with comparisons to Freida McFadden, Natalie Barelli and Daniel Hurst, that fast flowing, twist after twist style with the ability to keep on surprising.

Highly recommended!

This was an awesome read! It certainly had me hooked, and I couldn't read it fast enough. The author told the story through multiple points of view and different timelines but I was never lost. In fact, it all flowed together very seamlessly.

I loved the gradual way the author unfolded the plot, revealing little tidbits here and there. After all the strands come together you appreciate it all the more. And that ending...! I had a hunch about one aspect and was right but there were certainly a lot of other twists that gave me whiplash!

It's hard to say too much about the actual plot without fear of disclosing spoilers. I will say that I highly recommend.

The Homemaker is a twisty domestic suspense that hooks your attention and never lets it go.

Going out of one's comfort zone is never easy. Especially when it comes to writing. But Shari J. Ryan proves she can tackle a mystery with the best of them with her latest, The Homemaker. Told in various POVs the story trickles out at a good pace, giving me pause as to who I should be suspicious of and who I should be rooting for. Ryan kept me guessing throughout and I have to say I really did enjoy not fully grasping what exactly transpired between new neighbor Jenna Milligan and her husband Oliver and the rest of the supposed tight-knit community they recently moved into.

With older neighbor Ginger as the somewhat assumed toxic nucleus to this crew, bits and pieces of what she has endured along with what may have happened to the former owner of Jenna's house are sprinkled throughout this book. Ryan does a good job of not necessarily announcing just who The Homemaker might be but allows us to uncover the secrets of the anxious Peyton and all that she has experienced and how her life may or may not have intersected with Jenna's.

There are plenty of twists and turns as secrets are exposed along with wild decisions and almost hysterical assumptions that make Jenna's life a living hell. As this is not a very lengthy story, Ryan dangles the truth just enough that when all is revealed, moments of shock come quickly with that requisite period of reflection to fully understand all that occurred.

As I'm still a bit baffled by a few of the loose ends and by what is written in those last few lines. I will be letting all of it marinate a bit more in the days to come, that is for sure.

Overall I will say that I am satisfied with this first attempt at mystery by the talented Ryan and am hopeful she continues on this path interspersed with her wicked good historicals. As someone who is most likely to be in the dark until the very end, I was fully entertained and engaged as the pages flew by, enjoying this interesting tale of 3 women and the lives they lead on both their good and wildly numerous bad days.

Wow! My first Shari Ryan novel but certainly not my last! This one grabbed me from page one and just never let go. Nice job on alternating timelines and POVs. There were so many fabulous twists and turns that I couldn’t stop. The characters were well developed and easy to love and trust (or hate and doubt)

This book took me by surprise! What was even more surprising was reading that this is the author’s first thriller!
(Pls check TW before reading, this covers some dark topics like infant loss, infertility, drug abuse, etc)

This book follows three wives, Jenna, Ginger, and Peyton. Told in alternating POVS and two timelines, we follow them as they navigate their lives living on the same street. Ginger doesn’t know where her husband went, Peyton’s husband is never home, and Jenna can’t wrap her head around the fact that her baby is dead.

This book was TWISTY. It was very fast paced and I loved the author’s writing style. It made for a very fast read. I could not flip the pages fast enough. I love multiple POVs and the timelines of NOW and LAST YEAR helped us put together the plot, piece by piece. Each POV has a distinct voice, and I liked hearing from each one. While I did find this book somewhat predictable, it did not take away from my overall enjoyment of the book. I had a lot of fun reading this!! If you’re a beginner thriller reader, I think this is a perfect place to start!

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for my advanced reader copy.
