"The Last Days of Lilah Goodluck" is a rollercoaster of emotions. I was immediately drawn to Lilah's vulnerability and determination as she faces her mortality. Kylie Scott's writing is evocative, painting vivid pictures of Lilah's past and present.

The supporting characters added depth and intrigue to the story, though I wished for more exploration of their backstories. Despite a few minor pacing issues, the book kept me engaged until the very end. The ending was bittersweet, leaving me with a mix of sadness and hope.

I really enjoyed this one, I wasn't sure if I would between the cheating and mysticism but this turned out to be a really good read. I'm looking forward to going back and reading more of Kylie Scott's catalog.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

When Lilah Goodluck saves the life of Good Witch Willow she is given 5 predictions as a thank you. Good Witch Willow tells her the answers to the 5 most asked questions she gets during readings -

1. He is cheating on you
2. Your soulmate's name is Alistair George Arthur Lennox (who happens to be a prince)
3. You will be passed over for a promotion
4. The winning lottery numbers
5. You will die next Sunday

Lilah is skeptical, but when 3 of the predictions come true within 24 hours, she starts to get nervous. Does she really only have a week to live? Then when she almost gets into an accident with Alistair Lennox, her anxiety goes up another notch.

She proceeds to tell Alistair the story, which is amusing to him, and starts a friendship between them with an underlying sexual tension. Determined not to fall for the prince, she feels like this could help keep her from having the last prediction come true. This proves to be harder than she thought though, because the closer they get the more Lilah feels for Alistair.

I absolutely LOVED The Last Days of Lilah Goodluck! Scott does an amazing job of character work and each character is loveable in their own way. I also love that Lilah is plus size and that didn't matter to Alistair one bit. It was so endearing how he saw her.

The journey Lilah goes on in this book is nothing short of wonderful. I don't want to get too much into it and spoil it for anyone, but it was extremely inspiring. I wasn't expecting just how incredible it was going to be.

The relationship with Lilah and her friends, family, and Alistar just made me love this book all the more. I could feel myself desperately wanting her not to die, because she had so much more life to live with these wonderful people. I also could not have loved Alistair's mom more. She might just have been my favorite character.

All in all, I just really loved this book and can seeing it being one of my top reads of the year. I can't recommend it enough.

I really really really really liked this book!!!!
The premise was so quirky, and the plot twist was really a twist, I was not expecting it.
I honestly loveeeed Lilah and Allistair together, andhis mom was adorably funny and endearing.
10/10 for the majority of the main characters' developments.
this book had everything I look for when I want a nice read: some magic, love, a bit of mystery, mixed in with real-life.
I wish there was a book 2 that shows the next part of the story, I'd really love to know where all the characters are headed and what they're lives are like now.
overall, 4.4/5, would recommend as a little heartwarming story to give you hope.

I wish I could write a love letter to Kylie Scott. It would be a bunch of jumbled words on paper but in my
mind it would be a sonnet. I would try to rhyme how much I love her with quotes from her books.

Alas, I;m just a reader who leaves the fancy sentences and unjumbled words to my favorite author. I did
read this book in one day though so atleast Im good at reading.
Im a (little l)ibrarian (I stumbled into a PT job one day and stubbornly refused to leave, so they kept
promoting me.)
Lilah Goodluck is a (big L)ibrarian. She goes out for a night on the town, rescues a psychic from being
ran over and ends up with her life being changed forever. She is told her boyfriend is cheating on her,
she isn't getting that promotion, the name of her true love and the winning lotto numbers.

I'm a bit worried with spoilers in this review, so ill just tell you this. Lilah Goodluck has a heckva time trying
to prove those predictions wrong. She Meets Alistair Lennox, illegitimate Prince, after 2 of the predictions came true. so InstaLove seems perfect for this storyline, (just incase) Lilah only has a week to live.

I loved this book so much! I love reading romance novels about Librarians. I love Kylies famous guys and
"average" girls stories. I love the amount of sexy times. I love the banter and the wit/sarcasm of the main
characters. I have read all of her books, and im pleased to announce, she seems just as lovely IRL (well online).as i picture her in my mind. Its nice when writers enjoy talking to their fans online.

What a fun story! I loved the quirky characters and touch of magical realism as Lilah Goodluck meets a fortune teller who reveals she will find her soulmate before a sudden death happens just days later.

I absolutely love everything Kylie Scott writes! So I was excited when I got the chance to read this book early. A page turner that I couldn’t put down!

I voluntarily reviewed this book.

This was my first time reading Kylie Scott, and now I need to go find everything she’s written because I loved this book!

The story was fast and fun, the characters interesting and believable, and the ending perfect.

I found myself relating to Lilah when she got Good Witch Willow’s predictions for her future. Like Lilah, I would have ignored them until they started coming true. But I liked that Lilah didn’t just hide out and cry over her fate, she took life by the reigns and started really living.

And then there’s Alistair. Imagine running into a woman who tells you that a psychic told her that you were her soul mate and that she was going to die in a week. Most men would have walked away and never contacted her again, especially a man of royal bloodline. But he doesn’t, he volunteers to help her with her wish list.

The supporting characters were a lot of fun too, especially Alistair’s mother. She was eccentric and quirky and really didn’t care what other people thought about her. She was a great ally for Lilah on this journey. And Dougal was her perfect counterpart.

I had so much fun watching Alistair and Lilah open up to each other and fall in love. Alistair’s protectiveness of Lilah towards the end was sweet and telling of his feelings and fear of the final prediction. I definitely recommend this one!

Kylie Scott’s recent novels have had a soft element of magically realism which has given them a fun and interesting depth. When Lilah Goodluck gets a fortune told of meeting her soulmate and then ultimately her death in seven days her eyes are opened up and her approach to the world shifts. A chance meeting with her soulmate leads her to be open with him and for them to work through all the different emotions around what might be. Scott’s writing is easily engage-able, her characters are clear and interesting, and this layer of magic gives a worry of what jf a fun undercurrent between these two. This story is charming and the romances is delightful. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a romance with a unique motivation for finally taking the risk to get your happily ever after.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for an eARC, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Top tier banter! I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the overall plot was entertaining. Definitely character driven, I could listen to Lilah and Alistair endlessly.

I'll give this a 3.5 because I did truly enjoy the first half of the novel.

Lilah Goodluck saves the life of Good Witch Willow as they’re crossing a busy street in L.A. As a thank you Willow gives Lilah a "reading". When the predictions start to come true Lilah starts to panic because the last thing Willow tells her is that she's going to die in a week. As Lilah tries to figure out how to spend her last week, she meets Alistair Lennox, her supposed soulmate and the illegitimate son of the King of England.

From there the romance takes off with a reluctant prince not quite on board with the whole tall tale. While I liked the story, I just felt like the pacing was off in the back half of the book.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was witty and a lot of fun! Love how the book played with the nature of fate/destiny versus figuring out your own path.

When Lilah is presented with the future of her life, she's a nonbeliever. Along with the information that her boyfriend is cheating on her, she's being passed over for the promotion, the winning lottery numbers and the name of her soulmate, it's revealed that she'll be dead by the end of the week. Within the first 24 hours, 3 of the predictions come true and she ends up meeting her "soulmate", Alistair, who happens to be a royal, followed all over by the paparazzi. When Lilah tells him about all this, she ensures that she won't fall in love with him but maybe fulfilling a bucket list of things before she dies-- if she dies -- could be nice. With his help, they set off with tasks in mind even if the paps are close behind. As the days count down, they must decided if this platonic relationship is anything at all before it's time for Lilah to die.

this book was so fun!! the ending was a little predictable but i had a lot of fun getting there. i was nervous about Alistair as a royal but he thoroughly surprised me and was very charming. this is definitely one i'd rec to people!

I really enjoyed this book. It was different than anything else I've read recently. I couldn't put it down! I will keep an eye out for this author's future work!

This book had potential but also had like 4 different plots. Too much was going on and the main story couldn’t be developed. The author needed to pick one trope storyline and stick with it. Also the male main character was so disappointing!

I enjoyed this story. I liked the characters and was genuinely invested to see how the plot would play out once Lilah got her fortune.

I received an advance copy. All thoughts are my own.

Funny, spunky fat main character?
Sign me up.

This was a cute, fast read and while I did enjoy it and I felt like it had a lot of examples of fat joy, there were times where it just fell a little flat for me.

I’d like to read more from this author for sure.

After of leaving her best friend’s birthday party, Lilah saves the psychic who was the entertainment at the party. To thank her the psychic mentions that her boyfriend is cheating on her, gives her the winning lotto numbers, tells her she will get passed over for a promotion, the name of her soulmate, and that she will die next Sunday. She thinks it’s all a gimmick, but everything starts to come true. Including meeting Alistair, her soulmate. Being the illegitimate child of the King, he has always been followed by the media. When he literally runs in to Lilah and hears her story, he decides to help her. I absolutely loved this story and these characters. It was such a fun and sweet book with a really interesting ending.
