Although this wasn't my favorite, I can see recommending this to patrons as it does have a wide appeal. The pacing was a little weird to me but I did feel they wove in the new ideas very easily with classic Austen.

This book was pulled from Netgalley hours after I had been approved for it, meaning I was unable to download it. Three stars as a placeholder rating.

ARC Copy...I was split on how to review this. On one hand the premise was very promising and what drew me in. Super cool powers were on par but didn't feel enough "Austin" feel in comparison to other retellings.

I enjoyed this book. It was an interesting read . I found that I was able to read quickly and enjoyed the pacing and premise of the book. I would recommend to others.

This just didn't work for me. There were moments when I truly enjoyed the unique approach to the original material, but for most of the time I was bored out of my mind with the retelling of P&P.

While this was an entertaining read, I feel like it went on for way too long. I am happy, however, that there are people out there who keep P&P alive and well.

The concept sounded very fun but unfortunately it fell flat for me. I stopped reading pretty early in the book because I didn't vibe with the writing, but most of all because I didn't recognise the characters I loved so much in Pride and Prejudice.

I am not much of a sci-fi reader but I will make an execption when it comes to JA stories especially pride and prejudice. This was an unusual story which started before the Meryton ball. Mr Bingley came to gather the forces/powers. The powers were interesting (as well as who they were given to). The main characters at the start were I had expected them. Then came the space travel, which was mind-blowing (for me). Fortunately the author was descriptive of things/events so someone like me can follow and appreciate the rest of the story. The powers were amazingly put to use efficiently and there was some sort of redemption and love stories that prevailed. This was a different but diverting variation. I recommend reading even if you are not into sci-fi stories.

I have a healthy respect for, and appreciation of, fan fiction. So I was quite happy to pick up *Pride & Prejudice & Superheroes*, expecting something stupid, silly, and fun. It was stupid and silly, but unfortunately went on far too long to sustain the fun.

The central premise here is that Elizabeth Bennet and all four of her sisters, Mr Bennet, Mr Darcy, Mr Wickham, Mr Bingley, Caroline Bingley, Mr Collins, Charlotte Lucas, Lady Catherine de Bourgh, and King George III (who has been feigning madness) are all granted a variety of superpowers to fight off an alien invasion. So far so good. It’s a wonderful premise for a fan fiction, and it starts off being ridiculous fun.

But it just keeps going. And going. The premise was running thin very quickly, but the story carries on for almost 400 pages. The first hundred or so were enjoyable, because I absolutely adore *Pride & Prejudice*, and that section was *P&P* with an absurd twist. But then it becomes a frankly bad science fiction story, where the protagonist happens to be named Lizzy Bennet.

I pushed through to the end, but I do not recommend. There are many, many more worthy fan retellings of *P&P*, both in print and on AO3. Try one of them instead.

I was uncertain whether I’d like this book, but am so glad I took a punt on it. There are several direct quotes from P&P, and for the first part of the book, it has the same scenarios as P&P but with a few extra phrases in. Once the heroes head to space it all drastically changes. I don’t want to give to much away, but oh my word sci-fi aside, some of the things that happen between the characters are shocking and unforeseen. I really enjoyed this book, and couldn’t put it down. I was a little disappointed that some of the ending isn’t the same as in P&P, as I’d hoped that this story was written in such a way that possibly this happened in that world and could be tied into the story, but it was still a very good story. 10/10 I’d heartedly recommend
