Do your worst is such a fun detour from Rosie Danan's last series (which I also loved). Do Your Worst is steamy, full of humor and fantastic tropes that are wildly popular. Danan does a great job meshing two very different characters with complicated lives to a place that felt believable. I loved the paranormal aspect combined with the Indiana Jones vibes.

This is my first book by Rosie Danan, but I’ve been meaning to read some of her backlist books. I’ll definitely be picking those up since this was such a fun romance.

Enemies to Lovers is my favorite trope so I was very excited to pick this book up. I absolutely loved the Scottish Highland setting in this and the curse breaker x archaeologist characters.

I haven’t read too many books set in Scotland, but oh my goodness, the atmosphere in this was so good. The castle vibes from this had me so intrigued.

The characters in this were very interesting and well-developed - Riley and Clark. I loved how they had that hateful relationship at the beginning and how their feelings evolved throughout the book. I haven’t read a book with a curse-breaker character, but I really enjoyed the way it was written in this.

I enjoyed the gripping take with this unique story and the steamy scenes were great. I was hooked right away and loved how all these tropes wove together.

There were a few silly moments here and there, but I enjoyed this book as a whole. The story was enjoyable and I loved The Mummy vibes this book gave.

Thank you so much NetGalley and Berkley for the review copy in exchange for my honest review!

Riley Rhodes is a curse breaker and occult expert. Clark Edgeware is a disgraced archaeologist, They meet in a bar one night and have a great time without sharing too many personal details with one another. When Riley starts her new job in the morning (breaking a curse on an infamous Scottish castle) lo and behold who she overhears questioning her credentials. This starts an immediate rivalry that borders on enemies, and they are forced to work in close proximity through the entire job.

This book was an all new concept for me. I loved the fresh take on a romance, and the characters had immediately likable quick wit and banter.

This book was written for you if:
1) You like enemies to lovers
2) You get bored with your characters in romance having boring jobs
3) You want a bit of spice and a bit of sweet and a bit of adventure

This was a cute read from Rosie Danan that follows a curse break and a somewhat disgraced archaeologist. I really enjoy the enemies - lovers trope and throw in the curse element made this quite fun and spicy at times. My only real complaint would be I wanted more of a solve for the historical element. I look forward to reading more from Rosie Danan in the future.

Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for providing me with an arc for an honest review.

I really enjoyed Rosie Danan's previous two books but this one fell a little flat for me. I like the premise of an occult expert falling for a disgraced archeologist while they are forced to work together at a desolate Scottish castle but I found I just didn't click with the characters as much as I had hoped to. Still, a fun read and one you should check out if the premise appeals to you!

I hate to say it, but this one did NOT do it for me. While it was absolutely filthy in the best of ways, the plot was just…yeah. It was definitely a story with a timeline!

I’d been anticipating this one so so bad, and the author’s previous book is one of my absolute favorites, so going from such a smart romance to this…heartbreaking, I tell you.

Guess I’ve read worse, but I’d like to read better. I know it’s in there!!!!

This was a fun and easy to read rom-com, and I thought that the characters were very cool to watch change as the book progressed. The magical elements of this plot left a little bit to be desired, since there were several things that happened which were not explained satisfactorily, but I loved the setting of the castle and the way that the history mirrored the present. The vibes were immaculate for this book though, which was just what I was looking for when I started reading it.

This one fell a little bit flat for me, compared to Danan's other novels that I loved. I think I had a hard time following the backstory and action, which made it a bit difficult for me to make it through this one.

I can always count on Danan to bring the heat!! Do Your Worst is an incredibly adorable and steamy romance set in a small Scottish town. If you get over the fact that one of the love interests is a curse breaker, yes that is her actual job, this title is a gift that keeps on giving. It is well-written, fun, and has such a sweet conclusion. Romance readers should add this one to their list!

Totally enjoyable! I love Rosie Danan's writing because it's quick and zippy but also goes right to the heart. Loved these characters.

There will never be a Rosie Danan book that I do not love and Do Your Worst is no exception. Riley and Clark are HOT and so angsty. With classic Rosie heat and banter, this paranormal-esque romance was an absolute delight.

I really loved the setting for this book and the archaeology aspect! Very unique in that aspect! The characters definitely had sexual tension and chemistry. Very quick read and I enjoyed both the characters inner monologue and their bickering with one another. Loved that this book had adventure, curses, archaeology and enemies to lovers!

Sparks fly immediately when Riley meets Clark, only to instantly die when she finds out he believes her job as a curse breaker is a scam. When they are thrown into a cursed castle together, Clark trying to prove himself as an archaeologist and Riley trying to prove herself as a curse breaker. As they spend more time in the castle, and weird things keep happening, Clark is beginning to question his thoughts on Riley's career.

This book was fun, well written, as well as appropriately paced. Rosie Danan's banter has done it again, leading to a book with likable characters, both main and side. As always, I cannot wait to see what she does next.

This was so fun! I got to hear the author talk about writing this book before I read it, which I think added a lot to my experience. It made it easier to jump into the author's magic system (wish I could have that for all paranormal/fantasy books lol) and I felt like I already knew the characters before I started reading.

Rosie Danan's spice is chef kiss perfect. Definitely one to recommend!

I was a big fan of Danan's previous two books, but this fell a little flat by comparison. Kudos for tackling such a wacky and original story, but the stakes never fully hit. But, the steam is *chef's kiss"

I really enjoyed Do your worst! It was so much different to the roommate and I enjoyed the two characters attempting to break the curse. It was the perfect about of steamy while also not taking away from the plot.

A fun & spicy enemies to benefits romance between an occult expert and a disgraced archeologist.

Rosie Danan always has the most unique plots with relatable characters and this was no different! I loved the historial plot line of this book and the TENSION HOT HOT wowwww (best part imo)!

I did wish there was more development in their relationship from arguing to "oh we're in love". It left a little me wanting a bit more.

But overall, this was FUN!! and I defs reccomend.

Thanks to Berkley and NetGalley for the ARC! #berkleypartner

Do Your Worst was a different take on the enemies to lovers trope and I thought it was really unique! Riley has decided to carry on her family's tradition of curse breaking, but she is going to make it a business. Her first job finds her working along side an archeologist who is trying to repair his reputation. Clearly, being associated with Riley will not give him credibility in the science community.

These two have attraction right away, but Clark is determined to make her leave before she ruins his dig. He thinks she is a charlatan and tries to trap her into admitting it. It backfires, because Riley really does understand how to break curses. They push-pull each other and it is really good! The curse and the attempts to break it are interesting, and I liked both characters. Riley is dealing with insecurity about her life choices, Clark is dealing with insecurity about himself, and both of them want to prove they can do the job. It doesn't occur to Clark that maybe helping each other can solve both their problems.

Once their chemistry explodes and Clark is finally over himself, these two are so perfect. They are supportive, thoughtful, and loving. Do Your Worst was a delightful change from typical enemies to lovers!
